The Prophet ﷺ had forbidden the sale of fruits till they were ripe (free from blight).

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling of fruits until they were ripe. The Prophet ﷺ added, "It means that they become red ."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى تُزْهِيَ قَالَ حَتَّى تَحْمَارَّ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade the selling of fruits unless they get ripe, and none of them should be sold except for Dinar or Dirham (i.e. money), except the 'Araya trees (the dates of which could be sold for dates).

نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَطِيبَ وَلاَ يُبَاعُ شَىْءٌ مِنْهُ إِلاَّ بِالدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمِ إِلاَّ الْعَرَايَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident. He forbade both the seller and the buyer (such sale).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُبْتَاعَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of date fruits till they were ripe. Abu ʿAbdullah (Al-Bukhari) said, "That means till they were red (can be eaten).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُبَاعَ ثَمَرَةُ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي حَتَّى تَحْمَرَّ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident; and the sale of date palms till the dates are almost ripe. He was asked what 'are almost ripe' meant. He replied, "Got red and yellow."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا وَعَنِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ قِيلَ وَمَا يَزْهُو قَالَ يَحْمَارُّ أَوْ يَصْفَارُّ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ sold a Mudabbar.

سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ يَقُولُ بَاعَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade Gharar transactions. " (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2195)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruits till they were clearly in good condition, forbidding it both to the seller and to the buyer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3367)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ»

Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the selling (renting of) uncultivated land for two years or three. (Using translation from Muslim 1536x)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْأَرْضِ الْبَيْضَاءِ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the right to inheritance by a manumitted slave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2919)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fruit should not be sold until it is ripe."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُبَاعُ الثَّمَرُ حَتَّى يُطْعَمَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling palm-trees till the dates began to ripen, and ears of corn till they were white and were safe from blight, forbidding it both to the buyer and to the seller. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3368)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ وَعَنِ السُّنْبُلِ حَتَّى يَبْيَضَّ وَيَأْمَنَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling produce until its goodness becomes apparent. He prohibited both the seller and the buyer from doing so. He also prohibited traveling with the Quran to the land of the enemy, fearing that the enemy might capture it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ وَنَهَى أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that the sale of fruits is not valid until its quality is evident.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ بَيْعُ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ صَلَاحُهُ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الثَّمَرِ أَنْ يُبَاعَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruits or palm trees until their goodness becomes apparent.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ أَوِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺعَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

[AI] I heard Ibn Umar saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling the fruits until their ripeness becomes apparent.

سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not sell fruits of dates until they become free from all the dangers of being spoilt or blighted; and do not sell fresh dates for dry dates." Narrated Salim and ʿAbdullah from Zaid bin Habit' "Later on Messenger of Allah ﷺ permitted the selling of ripe fruits on trees for fresh dates or dried dates in Bai'-al-'Araya, and did not allow it for any other kind of sale." عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَتَبَايَعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the selling of fruits by dates and the selling of fruits until their ripeness is apparent.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] "Do not sell a fruit until its goodness appears."

وَلَا تُبَاعُ ثَمَرَةٌ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited selling the dates until they ripen. Anas was asked, "What does it mean to ripen?" He replied, "Until they turn red."

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ ثَمَرَةِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ قِيلَ لِأَنَسٍ مَا تَزْهُو؟ قَالَ تَحْمَرُّ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling surplus water.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2477)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ

Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the selling (renting of) uncultivated land for two years or three. (Using translation from Muslim 1536x)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ

Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited Shighar. (Using translation from Muslim 1417)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الشِّغَارِ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يُطْعَمَ

[AI] He heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade tattooing on the face and striking the face.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْوَسْمِ فِي الْوَجْهِ وَالضَّرْبِ فِي الْوَجْهِ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ forbade selling fruits until their ripeness becomes evident, and that they should be sold within two or three years."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثِّمَارُ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا وَأَنْ تُبَاعَ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruits until they become ripe. Abu al-Nadr narrated this to us.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَطِيبَ حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو النَّضْرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not trade with female singers."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمُغَنِّيَاتِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (taking hire for) a stallion's covering. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3429)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّعْيِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Do not sell your fruits until they become ripe and free from defects."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَبِيعُوا ثِمَارَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَصَلَاحُهَا وَتَنْجُوَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا وَتَأْمَنَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade two sales in one sale.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْعَةٍ

Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling or giving away the wala'.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلاَءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (the use of) the skins of beasts of prey. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4132)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ جُلُودِ السِّبَاعِ»

[AI] "The Prophet, peace be upon him, prohibited selling sheep by its meat."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الشَّاةِ بِاللَّحْمِ»

The Prophet ﷺ forbade selling animals for animals when payment was to be made at a later date. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3356)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ اللَّحْمِ بِالْحَيَوَانِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prohibited the selling of spoils of war until they are divided. Sahih.

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَغَانِمِ حَتَّى تُقْسَمَ» صحيح
