Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the selling (renting of) uncultivated land for two years or three. (Using translation from Muslim 1536x)  

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْأَرْضِ الْبَيْضَاءِ سَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا»
