the Messenger of Allah said: “There is no marriage except with a guardian.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1881)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ
The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no marriage without the permission of a guardian. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Yunus also transmitted on the authority of Abu Burdah, and Isra'il narrated from Abu Ishaq on the authority of Abu Burdah.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ نِكَاحَ إِلاَّ بِوَلِيٍّ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَعْلِنُوا النِّكَاحَ»
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they have not parted or till they part; and if both the parties spoke the truth and described the defects and qualities (of the goods), then they would be blessed in their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their transaction would be lost."
