Qatadah narrated it from Saeed bin Al-Musayyib, and Ibrahim al-Nakha'i narrated it from them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A group of my Ummah will indulge in eating, drinking, amusement, and play at night, then they will wake up as monkeys and pigs. They will be sent upon a group of people from their own kind, and a wind will come and destroy them as previous nations were destroyed for indulging in haram (forbidden) drinks and striking drums and taking female singers.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I entered Paradise and there I heard a rustling sound in front of me. So, I said, 'What is this?' It was said, 'It is Bilal.' Then I moved on and saw that the majority of the inhabitants of Paradise were the poor emigrants and the offspring of Muslim slaves. And I did not see anyone among them who was less favoured than the rich and the women. It was said to me, 'The rich and the women are still to come. They are awaiting their turn at the gate, being called to account and examined. As for the women, their distraction is caused by red saffron.' Then we went out and came to the gate of Paradise. When I was at the gate, I was presented with a handful of (good) deeds which I placed in one of the scales, while my followers were placed in the other scale. The scale with my followers outweighed my scale. Then Abu Bakr was brought and he was placed in one of the scales. And when my followers were put in the other scale, it also outweighed Abu Bakr's scale. Then Umar was brought and he was placed (in a scale) along with my followers. When the followers were put in the other scale, it again outweighed Umar's scale." Then I was called and there appeared to me a multitude of people from my Ummah. It was said to me, 'This is your Ummah, and among them there are seventy thousand who shall enter Paradise without being called to account or suffering punishment.' Then I was presented with a vessel of milk, so white and so sweet that I could not refuse it. And I was given understanding that for every cup of milk that I drink, I shall have a reward better than what the whole world contains.

[Machine] I performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , the farewell Hajj. So he praised and thanked Allah, and then he said, "Behold, it is quite possible that you might never see me after this year. Behold, it is quite possible that you might never see me after this year. Behold, it is quite possible that you might never see me after this year." Then a tall man, almost appearing from the people of Shanua, stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we do?" He said, "Worship your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, fast during your month [Ramadan], make pilgrimage to your House [Kaaba], and give your Zakat willingly so that you may enter the paradise of your Lord with ease."

Virtues of doing Wuḍūʾ and how sins fall off from body parts

ahmad:22267Abū al-Naḍr > ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd b. Bahrām > Shahr b. Ḥawshab > Abū Umāmah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whenever a man performs his wuḍūʾ (ritual ablution) intending to pray and (1) he washes his hands, the sins of his hands fall down with the first drop. When (2) he rinses his mouth and (3) nose, the sins of his tongue and lips fall down with the first drop. When (4) he washes his face, the sins of his hearing and sight fall down with the first drop. When (5) he washes his arms to his elbows and (6) his feet to his ankles, he is purified from every sin and fault like the day he was born from his mother.”

He ˹also˺ said, "If he stands for prayer, Allah will raise his rank by a degree. ˹And thus,˺ when he sits, he will sit faultless.”

So, I said to him, "O Abu Umamah, a man informed me about you that you said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, whoever performs ablution and does it perfectly, washing his hands and face, and then wipes his head, and ears, then stands for the obligatory prayer, Allah will forgive him all the sins he commits on that day, and his prayer will be recorded as equivalent to the worship of a night of vigil." He seized his legs with his hands and brought them together, and heard with his ears, and looked with his eyes. Then he said himself for evil, saying "By Allah, I heard it from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ , and I cannot count it."
