We narrate what we have heard.

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُؤْكِلَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ قَالَ إِنَّمَا نُحَدِّثُ بِمَا سَمِعْنَا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the consumer of usuary, the one who enables its consumption, the one who writes it down, the one who witnesses it. He said, "They are all equal."

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَقَالَ: «هُمْ سَوَاءٌ۔»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumed Riba, and the one who charged it, those who witnessed it, and the one who recorded it." He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Umar, 'Ali, Jabir [and Abu Juhaifah]. The Hadith of 'Abdullah (bin Mas'ud) is a Hasan Sahih Hadith.

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَعَلِيٍّ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, its scribe, and the one who withholds charity, and he used to forbid wailing.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ.

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down and the one who witnesses it; the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has that done"- he said: "Unless it is done as a remedy;" he said: "Yes"- "the man who married a woman in order to divorce her so that she may go back to her first husband and the man (the first husband) for whom that is done; and the one who withholds Sadaqah (Zakah). And he used to forbid wailing (in mourning), but he did not say 'cursed'"

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ قَالَ إِلاَّ مِنْ دَاءٍ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَالْحَالُّ وَالْمُحَلَّلُ لَهُ وَمَانِعُ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَعَنَ

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who pays it, the one who witnesses it and the one who writes it down; the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has that done; and forbade wailing (in mourning), but he did not say that its doer is cursed."

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةَ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَعَنَ صَاحِبَ

Xthe Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who pays it, those who witness it and the one who writes it down.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ

“The Messenger of Allah cursed the Muhallil and the Muhallal lahu.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1934)

«لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمُحِلَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who accepted usury, the one who paid it, the witness to it, and the one who recorded it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3333)

«لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُؤْكِلَهُ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed ten: the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down, the two who witness it, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, the one who withholds zakah, the one who does tattoos and the one for whom tattoos are done.

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَشْرَةً آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْحَالَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ

There is no doubt that it was ‘Ali ؓ - said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it is down, the one who does tattoo the one for whom tattoos are done, the one who marries a woman and is divorces her so that she become permissible for her first husband, the one for whom that is done and the one who withholds zakah. And he forbade wailing.

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا أَشُكُّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَالْمُحِلِّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَاحِبَ الرِّبَا وَآكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it down, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who gets tattoos done for adornment, the one who withholds zakah, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, And he forbade wailing (for the deceased).

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ لِلْحُسْنِ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْمُحِلَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it down, the one who withholds zakah, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who gets tattoos done, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done. He said: And he used to forbid wailing (for the deceased).

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the one who witness it, the one who writes it down, the woman who does tattoos, the woman who has tattoos done, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, and the one who withholds zakah. لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُتَوَشِّمَةَ وَالْمُحِلَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

It was narrated from ʿAli ؓ that The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it down, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who has tattoos done, and the one who withholds zakah. And he forbade wailing (for the deceased).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْمُحِلَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

[AI] He said, "Two transactions within one transaction are not permissible." And indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah curse the one who consumes interest, the one who gives it, the one who witnesses it, and the one who records it."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَصْلُحُ سَفْقَتَانِ فِي سَفْقَةٍوَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَعَنَ اللهُ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ

وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ لَعَنَ عَشَرَةً آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ

قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ فَقُلْتُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا نُحَدِّثُ مَا سَمِعْنَا

قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا فَقُلْتُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَاهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا نُحَدِّثُ بِمَا سَمِعْنَا وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ إِلَّا جَرِيرٌ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَهَذَا الْكَلَامُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ وَالنَّامِصَةَ وَالْمُتَنَمِّصَةَ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who consumes usury and the one who pays it."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ»

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? He said, "Yes, about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «بَلْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

[AI] "May the Messenger of Allah ﷺ curse the one who consumes usury and the one who facilitates it."

«لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he cursed the one who consumes interest, the tattooer, and the one who makes images.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ «لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُصَوِّرَ»

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the one who consumes Riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down, and the one who withholds Sadaqah (Zakah). And he used to forbid wailing (in mourning for the dead). (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5103)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ» أَرْسَلَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ وَعَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ

Muhammad ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the one who writes it down, the one who witnesses it, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who gets tattoos done. Ibn ‘Awn said: Except in the case of illness? He said: Yes. [And he continued:]... the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, and the one who withholds zakah. And he forbade wailing (for the dead). He did not say curse. I said: Who told you? He said: al-Harith al-A’war al-Hamdani. (Using translation from Aḥmad 1120)

«لَعَنَ مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةُ وَالْمُتَوَشِّمَةُ» قَالَ قُلْتُ «إِلَّا مِنْ دَاءٍ» قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَالْمُحَلِّلُ وَالْمُحَلَّلُ لَهُ وَمَانِعُ الصَّدَقَةِ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَعَنَ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it down, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who gets tattoos done for adornment, the one who withholds zakah, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done, And he forbade wailing (for the deceased). لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَالْمُحَلِّلَ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ وَنَهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ وَلَمْ يَلْعَنْ صَاحِبَهُ

[AI] Did the Prophet ﷺ curse the eater of usury, its organizer, its witnesses, and its writer? He said, "Yes, the eater of usury and its organizer." I said, "And its witnesses and its writer?" He said, "We only speak of what we have heard."

لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ؟ قَالَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُوكِلَهُ قُلْتُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ؟ قَالَ إِنَّمَا نُحَدِّثُ بِمَا سَمِعْنَا

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُؤْكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ أَوْ قَالَ شَاهِدَهُ وَكَاتِبَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the one who consumes interest and the one who feeds it to others. He said, "I asked about its witness and its writer, and it was said that we only narrate what we have heard."

لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُؤْكِلَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ قَالَ إِنَّمَا نُحَدِّثُ بِمَا سَمِعْنَا

"لَعَنَ اللهُ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، ومُوكِلَه وكاتِبَهُ، ومَانِعَ الصدقة".

"لَعَنَ اللهُ آكلَ الرِّبَا ومُوكِلَه".

"لَعَنَ الله آكلَ الرِّبا، ومُوكلَه وَشَاهِدَه، وكاتِبهُ".

"لَعَنَ اللهُ آكِلَ الرِّبا، ومُوُكلَه وشَاهِدَيه، وَكاتِبَه، هُمْ فِيه سَوَاءٌ".

"لَعَنَ اللهُ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، وَمُوكلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيه، وَكَاتبَهُ وَالْوَاشمَةَ، وَالمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ، وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَالْمُحِلَّ، وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ".

"عن عَلِىٍّ قالَ: لَعَن رسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَشَرَة: آكِلَ الرِّبَا، ومُوكِلهُ، وشَاهِدَيْه، وَكاتِبه، والواشِمة والمُسْتَوشِمَة للِحُسْنِ، ومانعَ الصَّدقَةِ، والمُحِلَّ، والمُحلَّل لهُ، وَكانَ يَنهى عَن النَّوْح وَلمَ يقُل لَعنَ".

"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، وَمُوكِلَهُ، وَشَاهِدَهُ، وَكَاتِبَهُ، وَالْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ".

"عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: لَعَنْ رسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الربا (*) ومُوكِلَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكاتِبَهُ، وَقَالَ: هُمْ سَواءٌ".

"عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، ومُوكلَهُ، وكَاتِبَهُ، وَشَاهِدَيْهِ، وَقَالَ: هُمْ سَوَاءٌ".

"عَنْ أبِى جُحَيْفَة أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ لَعَنَ آكِلَ الرَبا ومُوكِلَهُ".

"عَنْ أبِي هُرْيَرةَ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ آكَل الرِّبَا، ومُوكِلَهُ، وكَاتِبه، وَشاهِدَهُ وَهُو يَعْلَمُ، والْمُحَلِّلَ، والْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ".

"عَنِ الشَّعْبِىِّ قَالَ: لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ آكِلَ الرِّبَا، وَمُوكِلَهُ، وَشَاهِدَيْهِ، وَكَاتِبَهُ، والواشمة، وَالمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ لِلْحُسْنِ، وَمَانِع الصَّدَقَةِ، وَالمُحَلِّلَ، والمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ، وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّوْحِ".
