مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ

[Machine] She heard a woman asking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , saying, "I have a need, and I satisfy my husband with something that does not harm me, but it displeases her. Is there anything wrong with that?" He replied, "The one who satisfies someone with what they have not been given is like one who dresses in clothes that are false."  

أَنَّهَا سَمِعْتِ امْرَأَةً تَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً وَإِنِّي أَتَشَبَّعُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَا يُصِيبُنِي أَغِيظُهَا بِذَلِكَ فَهَلْ عَلَى فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ؟ فَقَالَ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Ad-Darawardi from Hisham bin 'Urwah from Fatimah bint Al-Mundhir from Asma bint Abi Bakr that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Indeed, my daughter is newlywed and she has been afflicted with measles, causing her hair to come out in patches. Should I use hair extensions?" He ﷺ said, "May Allah curse the one who gets hair extensions and the one who gives the extensions."  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عَرُوسٌ وَقَدْ أَصَابَهَا حَصْبَةٌ فَتَمَزَّقَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُهَا؟ فَقَالَ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»  

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my daughter is a bride and she has been afflicted with this sore, causing her hair to fall out. Should I cut her hair short for her?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah curse the one who does hair extensions and the one who has it done."  

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عَرُوسٌ وَقَدْ أَصَابَتْهَا هَذِهِ الْقُرْحَةُ فَتَمَزَّقَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُ لَهَا قَصَّةً؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»  

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Prophet of Allah, my daughter is a newlywed and she has caught the measles, causing her hair to fall out. Should I tie up her hair?" He said, "May Allah curse those who tie up hair extensions and those who have their hair extensions tied."  

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ إِنَّ ابْنَتِي عَرُوسٌ وَقَدْ أَخَذَتْهَا الْحَصْبَةُ فَتَسَاقَطَ شَعْرُهَا أَفَأَصِلُهَا؟ فَقَالَ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who connects and the one who asks for a connection. Chapter.  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ» بَابٌ  

[Machine] The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I entered upon Aisha in her room while the Prophet ﷺ was leading the people in prayer. I said, "O Aisha, what is the matter with the people?" She said, "Subhan Allah," and pointed with her hand. I said, "Is it a sign?" She said, "Subhan Allah," and nodded her head, indicating yes, and gestured with her head.  

كُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ فَقُلْتُ يَا عَائِشَةُ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ فَقَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَأَشَارَتْ بِيَدِهَا قُلْتُ آيَةٌ؟ قَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا تَحْكِي أَيْ نَعَمْ وَأَوْمَأَ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ بِرَأْسِهِ  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik that Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi narrated from Abdullah bin Abd al-Hakam that Malik bin Anas and Mufaddal bin Fadala narrated from Hisham bin Urwah who narrated from Fatimah bint al-Mundhir who narrated from Asma bint Abu Bakr who said, "I went to Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , when the sun was eclipsed. The people were standing and praying, and she was also standing. I asked, 'What is happening to the people?' She pointed with her hand towards the sky and said, 'Subhan Allah!' I asked, 'Is this a sign?' She nodded and said, 'Yes.' I stood until I became faint, and then I poured water over my head. I praised Allah and His Messenger ﷺ . Then she said, 'There is nothing that I have not seen in my place except that I have seen it in this state, even Paradise and Hell. It was revealed to me that you will be tested in the graves like or similar to the trials of the Dajjal (Antichrist). I do not know which of them it is.' She said, 'A person will come and it will be said to him, 'What do you know about this man?' As for the believer or the convinced one, I do not know which of them it is, he will say, 'Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , came to us with clear signs and guidance and we responded and believed and followed.' He will be told, 'Sleep peacefully; we know that you were a believer.' As for the hypocrite or the doubtful one, I do not know which of them it is, he will say, 'I do not know, I heard people saying something and I said it too.'  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَإِذَا النَّاسُ قِيَامٌ يُصَلُّونَ فَإِذَا هِيَ قَائِمَةٌ فَقُلْتُ مَا لِلنَّاسِ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَقَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ؟ وَأَشَارَتْ أَيْ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ فَقُمْتُ حَتَّى جَاءَنِي الْغَشْيُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَصُبُّ فَوْقَ رَأْسِي الْمَاءَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُ لَمْ أَرَهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ فَإِنَّهُ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ مِثْلَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ يُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُقَالُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ؟ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ أَوِ الْمُوقِنُ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ فَيَقُولُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى فَأَجَبْنَا وَآمَنَّا وَاتَّبَعْنَا فَيُقَالُ لَهُ نَمْ صَالِحًا قَدْ عَلِمْنَا أَنْ كُنْتَ لَمُؤْمِنًا وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ أَوِ الْمُرْتَابُ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ فَيَقُولُ لَا أَدْرِي سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُهُ  

[Machine] She said, "The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I entered the mosque while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was leading the people in prayer. I said to 'Aishah, 'What is happening to the people?' She said, 'Glorified is Allah,' and pointed with her head towards the sky. I said, 'Is it a sign?' She nodded her head in affirmation. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then stood up and prolonged the standing until I started feeling dizzy and drew closer to join the rows. I untied my headcloth (that was around my waist) and began pouring water on my head while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was still praying until the sun appeared and a clamor was heard amongst the people. I silenced them and asked 'Aishah, 'What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do?' She said, 'He praised and glorified Allah, then said, 'Now, as for what follows, there is not anything that I did not see except that I saw it in my place (of residence) until I have witnessed both Paradise and Hellfire, and it has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves soon, or it is the trial of the Antichrist (Dajjal).' One of you will be asked in his grave, 'What do you say about this man who was among you?' As for a believer, he will say, 'He is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, who came to us with clear signs and guidance, so we believed and followed him.' It will be said to him, 'We knew that you used to say that.' So sleep a good sleep like a bridegroom who is not awakened except by the closest of his family when he has finished his sound sleep (having a good dream) and as for a hypocrite and a doubtful person, they will say, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say.' It will be said to him, 'Neither did you know nor did you follow what the people said.'"  

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ خُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ فَقُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ؟ فَقَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَأَوْمَأَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ؟ فَأَوْمَأَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَيْ نَعَمْ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَطَالَ الْقِيَامَ حَتَّى أَخَذَنِي دَوَارٌ فَدَنَوْتُ مِنَ الْقِرْبَةِ فَفَتَحْتُ رَأْسَهَا فَجَعَلْتُ أُصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ وَلَغَطَ نِسْوَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَجَعَلْتُ أُسْكِتُهُنَّ فَقُلْتُ يَا عَائِشَةُ مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ حَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ لَمْ أَكُنْ رَأَيْتُهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي حَتَّى الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي قُبُورِكُمْ قَرِيبًا أَوْ مِثْلَ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ يُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فِي قَبْرِهِ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَا تَقُولُ فِي هَذَا الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي كَانَ فِيكُمْ؟ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَيَقُولُ هُوَ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى فَأَجَبْنَا وَاتَّبَعْنَا فَيُقَالُ لَهُ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ تَقُولُ ذَلِكَ فَنَمْ صَالِحًا وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ الْمُرْتَابُ فَيَقُولُ لَا أَدْرِي فَيُقَالُ لَا دَرَيْتَ فَيُغْلَظُ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ  

[Machine] I came to Aisha, and the people were standing, and she was praying. So I asked, "What is the matter with the people?" She pointed with her hand towards the sky and said, "Glory be to Allah." So I asked, "Is it a sign?" She nodded her head in affirmation and said, "Yes." Then I stood until I felt weak and then I poured water on my head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) praised and thanked Allah when he departed and said, "I have seen everything that I have observed in this place, even Paradise and Hell, and it has been revealed to me that you will be tested in the graves, similar or close to it. I do not know which one." Aisha said, "Asmaa mentioned the trial of the Dajjal (Anti-Christ) and said, 'One of you will be brought and it will be said to him, 'What do you know about this man?' So the believer or the one who is certain will say, 'I do not know which one.' Asmaa said, 'He will say, 'He is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah who brought us clear signs and guidance, and we believed and followed him.' Then it will be said, 'We know that you were a believer in him.' He will say this three times. As for the hypocrite or the doubtful one, I do not know which one.'" Asmaa said, "He will say, 'I heard people saying something, so I said it.'"  

أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَإِذَا النَّاسُ قِيَامٌ وَإِذَا هِيَ تُصَلِّي فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَقَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَيْ نَعَمْ قَالَتْ فَقُمْتُ حَتَّى تَجَلَّانِي الْغَشْيُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي الْمَاءَ قَالَتْ فَحَمِدَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اللهُ ﷻ وَأثْنَى عَلَيْهِ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ وَقَالَ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ لَمْ أَكُنْ رَأَيْتُهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَى أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ مِثْلَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ يُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ؟ فَالْمُؤْمِنُ أَوِ الْمُوقِنُ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ فَيَقُولُ هُوَ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى فَأَجَبْنَا وَاتَّبَعْنَا فَيُقَالُ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا أَنْ كُنْتَ لَمُؤْمِنًا بِهِ يَقُولُهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ أَوِ الْمُرْتَابُ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ فَيَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُ  

[Machine] I went to Aisha and found people standing, while she was praying. I said, "What is the matter with the people?" She pointed towards the sky with her hand and said, "Glory be to Allah." So, I said, "Is there a sign?" She nodded with her head, meaning, "Yes." So, I stood for prayer until I felt my legs strained. Then I poured water on my head and praised Allah and thanked Him. She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ praised Allah and extolled Him, and said, 'No one sees what I have seen, except that they will see it in this place of mine, even the Paradise and the Hellfire. And it has been revealed to me that you will be tested in the graves, similar to or almost like the trial of the False Messiah.' It will be said to one of you: 'What do you know about this man?' As for the believer, he will say: 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He brought us clear signs and guidance, so we believed and followed him.' It will be said: 'Rest in peace, for we have known that you were a believer in Allah.' As for the hypocrite or the doubting person, I do not know which of the two she said, they will say: 'I do not know. I heard the people saying something, so I said it too.'"  

أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَإِذَا النَّاسُ قِيَامٌ وَإِذَا هِيَ تُصَلِّي فَقُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ بِيَدِهَا نَحْوَ السَّمَاءِ وَقَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَيْ نَعَمْ فَقُمْتُ حَتَّى تَجَلَّانِي الْغَشْيُ وَجَعَلْتُ أَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ قَالَتْ فَحَمِدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ وَقَالَ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ أُرِيتُهُ إِلَّا رَأيَتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ وَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ مِثْلَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ يُؤْتَىأَحَدُكُمْ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ؟ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ فَيَقُولُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى فَأَجَبْنَا وَاتَّبَعْنَا فَيُقَالُ نَمْ صَالِحًا فَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّكَ كُنْتَ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ أَوِ الْمُرْتَابُ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ فَيَقُولُ لَا أَدْرِي سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُهُ  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi reported that Abdul Aziz ibn Muhammad ad-Drawardi narrated from Hisham ibn Uruwah who narrated from Fatimah bint al-Mundhir, who narrated from Asma bint Abi Bakr, that the Prophet ﷺ instructed them to perform the release of slaves when the sun eclipsed.  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَهُمْ بِعِتَاقَةٍ حِينَ كُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ»  

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ commanded the freeing of slaves during a solar eclipse."  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِالْعِتَاقَةِ عِنْدَ كُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ»  

[Machine] "We were ordered to emancipate the slaves at sunrise."  

«كُنَّا نُؤْمَرُ بِالْعِتَاقَةِ عِنْدَ كُسُوفِ الشَّمْسِ»  

Some time was spent before we were able to find them. He (the Holy Prophet) chewed them and then put his saliva in his mouth. The first thing that entered his stomach, was the saliva of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Asma' said: He then rubbed him and blessed him and gave him the name of Abdullah. He ('Abdullah) went to him (the Holy Prophet) when he had attained the age of seven or eight years in order to pledge allegiance to Messenger of Allah ﷺ as Zubair had commanded him to do. Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled when he saw him coming towards him and then accepted his allegiance. (Using translation from Muslim 2146a)  

عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا خَرَجَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ حِينَ هَاجَرَتْ وَهِيَ حُبْلَى بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَدِمَتْ قِبَاءَ فَنُفِسَتْ بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بِهَا ثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ حِينَ نُفِسَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِتَحْنِكَهُ «فَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْهَا فَوَضَعَهُ فِي حِجْرِهِ ثُمَّ دَعَا بِتَمْرَةٍ» قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَمَكَثْنَا سَاعَةً نَلْتَمِسُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ نَجِدَهَا «فَمَضَغَهَا ثُمَّ وَضَعَهَا فِي فِيهِ» فَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ دَخَلَ بَطْنَهُ لَرِيقُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ «ثُمَّ مَسَحَهُ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَسَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ بَعْدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ أَوْ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ لِيُبَايِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ الزُّبَيْرُ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ رَآهُ مُقْبِلًا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ بَايَعَهُ» بَابٌ  

[Machine] A woman asked the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a neighbor who is always bothering me but I hate to say that she is bothersome. Is it sinful for me to pretend to be satisfied with something that I haven't been given?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who pretends to be satisfied with something he hasn't been given is like one who wears clothes of falsehood."  

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِي جَارَةٌ أَيْ ضُرَّةٌ فَكَرِهَتْ أَنْ تَقُولَ ضُرَّةً فَعَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ بِمَا لَمْ أَعْطَهْ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, I have a husband and a neighbor, so is it permissible for me to visit her and take from her what my husband has not given me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ responded, "The one who seeks satisfaction from what they have not been given is like one who wears clothes made of falsehood."  

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي زَوْجًا وَإِنَّ لِي جَارَةً فَهَلْ عَلِيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ عِنْدَهَا بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطِنِي زَوْجِي؟ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a need. Is it permissible for me to satisfy myself with my husband in a way that he does not satisfy me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "The one who satisfies themselves with what they have not been given is like someone who wears clothes made of falsehood."  

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً فَهَلْ عَلِيَّ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ أَتَشَبَّعَ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَا يُعْطِينِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "One who is satisfied with what he has not been given is like someone wearing two garments of falsehood."  

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who is content with what he has not been given is like someone who wears two garments of falsehood."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who is satisfied with what he has not been given is like someone wearing two garments of deception."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One who is satisfied with what he has not been given is like someone wearing two false garments." Chapter.  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ» بَابٌ  

[Machine] "When a woman in her menstrual period was brought to her, she would order water to be poured on her and she would say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Cool her down with water, for it is from the heat of Hellfire.'  

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ الْمَوْعُوكَةِ أَمَرَتْ أَنْ يُصَبَّ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءُ وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] "When a woman used to be brought to the Prophet ﷺ, she would be given water to perform ablution, which she would pour on herself and between her sides. She would say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to cool ourselves with water, for it is from the heat of Hellfire.'"  

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ قَدْ حُمَّتْ دَعَتْ بِالْمَاءِ فَسَكَبَتْهُ عَلَيْهِ وَبَيْنَ جَنْبَيْهَا وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُبَرِّدَ بِالْمَاءِ وَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا مِنْ فَحِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] "It used to be that a woman in her menses would be brought, and then water would be poured on her side, while saying, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Cool her with water.' And he said, 'Indeed, it is from the heat of Hellfire.'"  

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُؤْتَى بِالْمَرْأَةِ الْمَوْعُوكَةِ فَتَدْعُو بِمَاءٍ فَتَصُبُّهُ فِي جَنْبِهَا وَتَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ» وَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا مِنْ فَحِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ»  

[Machine] "When Asmaa was brought a woman, she would pour water between herself and her side and say: 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to cool it with water.'"  

أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ قَدْ حُمَّتْ تَدْعُو لَهَا أَخَذَتِ الْمَاءَ فَتَصُبُّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ جَنْبِهَا وَقَالَتْ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُبْرِدَهَا بِالْمَاءِ»  

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik, he narrated from Bakr bin Sahl, Abdullah bin Yusuf, Malik, Hisham bin 'Urwah, and Fatimah bint al-Mundhir that Asma bint Abi Bakr, when visited by a woman who had a fever, would take water and pour it between herself and the woman. She would say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with water.'"  

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا مَالِكٌ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ قَدْ حُمَّتْ تَدْعُو لَهَا أَخَذَتِ الْمَاءَ فَصَبَّتْهُ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ جَنْبِهَا وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَحِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَأَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ»  

[Machine] "That the name of the daughter of Abu Bakr used to be brought to the menstruating woman, so she would invoke blessings upon her and she would take water and pour it between her and her side, and she said, 'Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded her to cool it with water.'"  

أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ كَانَتْ تُؤْتَى بِالْمَرْأَةِ الْمَوْعُوكَةِ قَدْ حُمَّتْ تَدْعُو لَهَا أَخَذْتِ الْمَاءَ فَصَبَّتْهُ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ جَنْبِهَا وَقَالَتْ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تُبْرِدَهَا بِالْمَاءِ»  

[Machine] "It used to be that a woman with irregular bleeding would be brought (to the Prophet). He would then command that water be poured over her, and he would say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to cool it with water.'"  

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُؤْتَى بِالْمَرْأَةِ الْمَوْعُوكَةِ فَتَأمُرُ بِالْمَاءِ فَتَصُبُّ عَلَيْهَا وَتَقُولُ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُبْرِدَهَا بِالْمَاءِ»  

[Machine] "When a menstruating woman was brought to her, she would order water to be poured over her and said, 'The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: 'Indeed, fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it down with water.'"  

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ الْمَوْعُوكَةِ أَمَرَتْ بِأَنْ تُصَبَّ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءُ وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْحُمَّى مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَأَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ» بَابٌ  

[Machine] To me, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Spend, O Asma, and do this and this and this, and do not count, for Allah will count it for you."  

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْفِقِي يَا أَسْمَاءُ وأرْضِخِي هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَلَا تُحْصِي فَيُحْصِي اللهُ عَلَيْكِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Spread fragrance, spend (in charity), be humble, and don't count (your acts of kindness) in order to be counted upon. Don't extinguish (good deeds) so that they may not be extinguished against you."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْفِحُوا وَأَنْفِقُوا وأَرْضِخُوا وَلَا تُحْصِي فَيُحْصِي عَلَيْكِ وَلَا تُوكِي فَيُوكَى عَلَيْكِ»  

[Machine] To me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Spend and do not count, for it will be counted against you."  

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْفِقِي وأَرْضِخِي وَلَا تُحْصِي فَيُحْصَى عَلَيْكِ» بَابٌ  

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a dream after his death, and I saw him saying, "The letters of the Qur'an, O Asmaa?" I said, "Yes, just like my father and mother, the one who deviates and the one who follows the right path." He repeated that to me many times, and I kept saying, "Just like my father and mother, the one who deviates and the one who follows the right path." Then he said to me, "How are your sons?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, they are completely cured." Then I saw him look at some of his wives as if she were Hafsah, the daughter of Umar. He said, "Give her a cure for her sons." As for the poison, I cannot cure it. Then she gave me a black seed like the seed of black cumin or the seed of coriander, red soil, and a pearl-shaped antidote. She said, "When anyone from the descendants of Asmaa complains, in every tribe, a cup will be taken for him, filled with water, and then red soil, coriander seed, black cumin seed, and pearl-shaped antidote will be added to it, and that water will be poured on him."  

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي النَّوْمِ بَعْدَ وَفَاتِهِ فَأَرَاهُ يَقُولُ أَحُرِّفَ الْقُرْآنُ يَا أَسْمَاءُ؟ قُلْتُ كَذَلِكَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي الْمُحَرِّفُ وَالْمُسْتَقِيمُ فَرَدَّدَ ذَلِكَ عَلِيَّ مِرَارًا كُلُّ ذَلِكَ أَقُولُ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي الْمُحَرِّفُ وَالْمُسْتَقِيمِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي كَيْفَ بَنُوكِ؟ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يُقْبَضُونَ قَبْضًا شَدِيدًا فَأَرَاهُ نَظَرَ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ كَأَنَّهَا حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ أَعْطِيهَا شِفَاءً لِابْنَيْهَا فَأَمَّا السَّامُ فَإِنَّى لَا أَشْفِي مِنْهُ فَأُرَاهَا أَعْطَتْنِي حَبَّةً سَوْدَاءَ كَالشُّونِيزِ أَوْ كَحَبِّ الْكُرَّاثِ وَتُرَابًا أَحْمَرَ وَسِمْطًا مِنْ لُؤْلُؤٍ قَالَتْ «فَنَحْنُ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ أَسْمَاءَ فِي الْقَبَائِلِ كُلِّهَا يُؤْخَذُ لَهُ قَدَحٌ فَيُمْلَأُ مَاءً ثُمَّ يُجْعَلُ فِيهِ تُرَابٌ أَحْمَرُ وَحَبُّ كُرَّاثٍ وَشُونِيزَ وسِمْطُ لُؤْلُؤٍ ثُمَّ يُسْكَبُ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءُ عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a dream after his death, and I saw him saying, "The letters of the Quran, O Asmaa!" I said, "Yes, my father and mother's son, it is the ambiguous and straight." He repeated that to me repeatedly. All of that, I say, is by my father and mother's ambiguous and straight. Then he said to me, "How are your sons?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, they are taken away severely." I saw him looking at some of his wives as if she were Hafsah, the daughter of Omar. So he said, "Give her a cure for her sons." As for the poison, I cannot cure it. So I saw her giving me a black seed like the seed of the charred lentil and red soil and poison from a pearl. She said, "So when someone complains about one of Asmaa's children in all the tribes, a vessel is taken for him and water is filled in it, then red soil, the seed of the charred lentil, and the pearl poison are put in it, and that water is poured on him."  

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي النَّوْمِ بَعْدَ وَفَاتِهِ فَأَرَاهُ يَقُولُ أَحُرِّفَ الْقُرْآنُ يَا أَسْمَاءُ؟ قُلْتُ كَذَلِكَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي الْمُحَرِّفُ وَالْمُسْتَقِيمُ فَرَدَّدَ ذَلِكَ عَلِيَّ مِرَارًا كُلُّ ذَلِكَ أَقُولُ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي الْمُحَرِّفُ وَالْمُسْتَقِيمِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي كَيْفَ بَنُوكِ؟ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يُقْبَضُونَ قَبْضًا شَدِيدًا فَأَرَاهُ نَظَرَ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ كَأَنَّهَا حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ أَعْطِيهَا شِفَاءً لِابْنَيْهَا فَأَمَّا السَّامُ فَإِنَّى لَا أَشْفِي مِنْهُ فَأُرَاهَا أَعْطَتْنِي حَبَّةً سَوْدَاءَ كَالشُّونِيزِ أَوْ كَحَبِّ الْكُرَّاثِ وَتُرَابًا أَحْمَرَ وَسِمْطًا مِنْ لُؤْلُؤٍ قَالَتْ «فَنَحْنُ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ أَسْمَاءَ فِي الْقَبَائِلِ كُلِّهَا يُؤْخَذُ لَهُ قَدَحٌ فَيُمْلَأُ مَاءً ثُمَّ يُجْعَلُ فِيهِ تُرَابٌ أَحْمَرُ وَحَبُّ كُرَّاثٍ وَشُونِيزَ وسِمْطُ لُؤْلُؤٍ ثُمَّ يُسْكَبُ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءُ عَلَيْهِ»  

[Machine] My mother came to me while she was still a polytheist, so I asked permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding maintaining ties with her, and he said, "Maintain ties with her."  

قَدِمَتْ عَلِيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صِلَتِهَا فَقَالَ «صِلِيهَا»  

[Machine] My mother came to me while she was a polytheist during the time of the Quraysh and their alliance with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, my mother has come to me and she desires to visit me. Shall I maintain ties with her?" He replied, "Yes, maintain ties with your mother."  

قَدِمَتْ عَلِيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ وَمُدَّتِهِمُ الَّذِي عَاهَدُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدِمَتْ عَلِيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ رَاغِبَةٌ أَفَأَصِلُهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ صِلِي أُمُّكِ»  

[Machine] My mother came to me during the time of Quraysh, while she was a polytheist. I asked the Prophet ﷺ about her status, and he replied, "Yes."  

أَتَتْنِي أُمِّي فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَصْلُهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» بَابٌ  

[Machine] When Abd Allah bin Zubayr was born, the Prophet ﷺ was brought to him, he wiped his hand over him, prayed for him, and named him Abd Allah. Then, when he was seven or eight years old, he came to give his allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ commanded Zubayr to do so, and he smiled when he saw him approaching and gave him his allegiance. Chapter.  

«أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ لَمَّا وُلِدَ أُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَمَسَحَهُ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَسَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ بَعْدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ أَوْ ثَمَانٍ لِيُبَايِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ الزُّبَيْرُ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ رَآهُ مُقْبِلًا وَبَايَعَهُ» بَابٌ  

“We broke our fast on a cloudy day at the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then the sun appeared.” I (one of the narrators) said to Hisham: "Were they commanded to make up for that day?" He said: "It had to be made up." (According to Hisham's opinion). (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1674)  

«أَفْطَرْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي يَوْمِ غَيْمٍ ثُمَّ طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ» قِيلَ لِهِشَامٍ فَأُمِرُوا بِالْقَضَاءِ؟ قَالَ «وَمِنْ ذَلِكَ بُدٌّ»  

[Machine] He broke his fast during the time of the Prophet Mohammad ﷺ on a cloudy day, then the sun rose. Hisham was asked if he was ordered to make up for it, he replied "there is no need".  

«أُفْطِرَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي يَوْمِ غَيْمٍ ثُمَّ طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ» قِيلَ لِهِشَامٍ أُمِرُوا بِالْقَضَاءِ؟ قَالَ «مِنْهُ بُدٌّ»  

[Machine] I heard a woman asking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , she said, "O Messenger of Allah, I married off my daughter and she was afflicted with this disease, either smallpox or measles, and her hair fell out. She has recovered and her husband still desires her, but she has no hair on her head. Can we put something on her head to beautify her?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah curse the one who adds hair extensions and the one who gets them done."  

سَمِعْتُ امْرَأَةً تَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي زَوَّجَتُ ابْنَتِي فَأَصَابَتْهَا هَذِهِ الْقُرْحَةُ الْجُدَرِيُّ أَوِ الْحَصْبَةُ فَسَقَطَ شَعْرُهَا وَقَدْ صَحَّتْ وَاسْتَحَثَّنَا بِهَا زَوْجُهَا وَلَيْسَ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا شَعْرٌ فَنَجْعَلُ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا شَيْئًا نُجَمِّلُهَا بِهِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and a woman asked him, she said: "O Messenger of Allah, I married my daughter and she was afflicted with this smallpox or measles, and her hair fell out. She has recovered and her husband urgently insists on her but she has no hair on her head. Should we put something to beautify her?" He said, "May Allah curse the one who attaches hair extensions and the one who asks for that."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَامْرَأَةً تَسْأَلُهُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي زَوَّجَتُ ابْنَتِي فَأَصَابَتْهَا هَذِهِ الْقُرْحَةُ الْجُدَرِيُّ أَوِ الْحَصْبَةُ فَسَقَطَ مِنْهَا شَعَرُهَا ثُمَّ قَدْ صَحَّتْ وَقَدِ اسْتَحَثَّنَا بِهَا زَوْجُهَا وَلَيْسَ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا شَعَرٌ أَفَنَجْعَلُ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا شَيْئًا نُجَمِّلُهَا بِهِ؟ فَقَالَ «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»  

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who severs family ties and the one who joins severed family ties."  

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being asked by a woman about menstrual blood that stains her clothes. He said, "Wash it with water, then sprinkle it on the rest of your garment and pray in it."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَأَلَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ عَنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ يُصِيبُ ثِيَابَهَا فَقَالَ «اغْسِلِيهِ بِمَاءٍ ثُمَّ انْضَحِيهِ فِي سَائِرِ ثَوْبِكِ وَصَلِّي فِيهِ»  

[Machine] "We used to give the zakat al-fitr during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the quantity of food we were nourished with."  

«كُنَّا نُؤَدِّي زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْمُدِّ الَّذِي نَقْتَاتُ بِهِ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was startled on the day the sun was eclipsed, so he took a shield and wore it until he felt the cold. He then stood up for a long time, standing, then he knelt down, and then he raised his head. If a person came after he raised his head, he would not have known that he had knelt down at all. And when he realized that he had knelt down during the long standing, I began to look at the woman who was older and the woman who was sicker than me, standing. And I said to myself, "I am more entitled to endure the long standing."  

فَزِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمَ كُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَأَخَذَ دِرْعًا فَلَبِسَهَا حَتَّى أَدْرَكَ بُرْدًا فَقَامَ بِالنَّاسِ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا يَقُومُ ثُمَّ يَرْكَعُ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُ فَلَوْ جَاءَ إِنْسَانٌ بَعْدَمَا رَفَعَ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ رَكَعَ شَيْئًا وَلَمَا حَدَّثَ نَفْسَهُ أَنَّهُ رَكَعَ مِنْ طُولِ الْقِيَامِ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي هِيَ أَكْبَرُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِي هِيَ أَسْقَمُ مِنِّي قَائِمَةً فَأَقُولُ أَنَا أَحَقُّ أَنْ أَصْبِرَ عَلَى طُولِ الْقِيَامِ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him, let him enter into the state of ihram; and whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him, let him make himself permissible (for normal activities)." I did not have a sacrificial animal with me, so I made myself permissible (for normal activities), but Zubair had a sacrificial animal with him, so he did not make himself permissible. I then put on my regular clothes and came and sat next to Zubair. My people spoke ill of me to him, so I said, "Do you fear that I may harm you?"  

النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيَقُمْ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيُحْلِلْ» فَلَمْ يَكُنْ مَعِي هَدْيٌ فَحَلَلْتُ وَكَانَ مَعَ الزُّبَيْرِ فَلَمْ يَحْلِلْ فَلَبِسْتُ ثِيَابِي ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ قَوْمِي عَنِّي فَقُلْتُ تَخْشَى أَنْ أَثِبَ عَلَيْكَ  

[Machine] "We went out with the Prophet ﷺ headed towards Hajj, and he said to us, 'Whoever has a sacrificial animal with them, should assume the state of Ihram, and whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with them, should perform the tawaf al-ifada.'"  

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فَقَالَ لَنَا «مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيَقُمْ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ فَلْيَحْلِقْ»  

[Machine] Asma bint Abi Bakr narrated, "They came with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Makkah."  

عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ «أَنَّهُمْ قَدِمُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ»  

[Machine] A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I married my daughter and she became sick and her hair fell out. Her husband came to me and said, 'Should I cut her hair?' The Prophet ﷺ insulted both the one who does hair extensions and the one who gets hair extensions."  

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي زَوَّجَتُ ابْنَتِي وَإِنَّهَا مَرِضَتْ وتَمَرَّطَ رَأْسُهَا وَإِنَّ زَوْجَهَا قَدِ اخْتَلَفَ إِلَيَّ أَفَأَصِلُ شَعَرَهَا؟ «فَسَبَّ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»
