32. Chapter of Alif (Female)
[Machine] As for his grandmother, I do not know the names of the daughters of Abu Bakr or Saudah bint Awf who the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Duba'ah bint Az-Zubair ibn 'Abdul-Muttalib and said, "What prevents you, O aunt, from going for Hajj?" She said, "I am a sick woman and I fear being imprisoned." He said, "Then perform I'tikaf and stipulate that my location is where you have imprisoned me."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, saying, "One hundred riders will seek shade under its shade." Or he said, "One hundred riders will travel under its shade, where the gold mattresses appear like small fruits."
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out and Abu Bakr went out with him, Abu Bakr carried with him five thousand or six thousand dirhams and left with them. Abu Quhafa, my grandfather, came to us, and his eyesight had gone. He said, "By Allah, I see that he has shocked you with his wealth he took with him." She said, "I said, 'No, O Father, he has left us with plenty of goodness.'" She said, "And I took some stones and put them in a corner in the house where my father used to put his wealth. Then I placed a garment on top of them. Then I took his hand and said, 'Put your hand on this wealth.' He put his hand and said, 'There is no harm if he has left you with this.' Then he raised his hand and said, 'If he has left you with this, then he has done good, and in this, you have a message.' She said, 'No, by Allah, he did not leave us anything, but I wanted to provide comfort to the sheikh with that.'"
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at Dhi Tuwwa, Abu Quhafa said to his daughter, the youngest of his children: "Show me your father's house." She said, "His sight has been weak." She added: "So I led him to it. When we arrived, he said, 'My son, what do you see?' She replied, 'I see a gathering of black horses.' He said, 'Those are the horses.' She further said, 'And I see a man running back and forth among that group, approaching and turning away.' He said, 'That, my son, is the one who commands the horses. Hurry up and take me to my house.' She went on to say that the horses greeted him before he reached them. She said, 'There was a chain around the girl's neck made of paper leaves, which a man took off her neck.' When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah and went to the mosque, Abu Bakr came to him with his father, leading him. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him, he said, 'Didn't you leave the old man at home until I came to him?' Abu Bakr said, 'O Messenger of Allah, he is more deserving to come to you.' So he made him sit in front of him, wiped his chest, and said to him, 'Embrace Islam.' It seemed that his head was trembling, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Change his hair.' Then Abu Bakr stood up and took his sister's hand and said, 'I swear by Allah and by Islam, who will take my sister's necklace?' But no one responded. He said, 'O sister, be prepared to give up your necklace, for by Allah, trustworthiness is scarce among people today.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said to Abu Quhafa, "Submit (to Islam), you will be saved."
