[Machine] My mother came to me while she was still a polytheist, so I asked permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding maintaining ties with her, and he said, "Maintain ties with her."  

الطبراني:٢٠٨٠٧ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ

قَدِمَتْ عَلِيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صِلَتِهَا فَقَالَ «صِلِيهَا»
