31.32.6 Subsection
٣١۔٣٢۔٦ جَارِيَةُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] The translation of the passage is as follows: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to receive pleasure from some of his wives while he was fasting."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَنَالُ مِنْ وَجْهِ بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ»
31.32.7 Subsection
٣١۔٣٢۔٧ شُتَيْرُ بْنُ شَكَلٍ الْعَبْسِيُّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to kiss some of his wives while fasting.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يُقَبِّلُ بَعْضَ نِسَائِهِ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ»
[Machine] "On the authority of Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , that the Prophet ﷺ used to fast three days out of every month: Mondays, Thursdays, and the Mondays of the other week."
عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى
31.32 [Machine] The Sermon of Aisha
٣١۔٣٢ بَابُ خِطْبَةِ عَائِشَةَ
سَوَاءٌ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Monday, Thursday, and Monday of the following week after Friday.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالْإِثْنَيْنِ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْمُقْبِلَةِ»
هُنَيْدَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
"There are four things which the Prophet never gave up: Fasting 'Ashura', (fasting during) the ten days, (fasting) three days of each month, and praying two Rak'ahs before Al-Ghadah (Fajr)." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2416)
أَرْبَعٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدَعُهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صِيَامُ عَاشُورَاءَ وَالْعَشْرُ وَثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَالرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ
عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] One day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me and placed his garment between his thighs. Abu Bakr sought permission to enter and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted him permission in his state, then Umar sought permission and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted him permission in his state. Then some people sought permission and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted them permission. Then Ali sought permission and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted him permission in his state. Until Uthman sought permission and he became modest in his garment, then he granted him permission and they talked for a while. Then they left and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, and some of your companions entered upon you while you were in your state and you did not move. But when Uthman entered, you became modest in your garment." He said, "Should I not feel bashfulness from the one whom the angels feel bashfulness from?"
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَوَضَعَ ثَوْبَهُ بَيْنَ فَخِذَيْهِ فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَسْتَأْذِنُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى هَيْأَتِهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُمَرُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى هَيْأَتِهِ فَجَاءَ أُنَاسٌ فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ فَجَاءَ عَلِيٌّ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى هَيْأَتِهِ حَتَّى جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ فَتَجَلَّلَ بِثَوْبِهِ ثُمَّ أَذِنَ لَهُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ خَرَجُوا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ دَخَلَ عَلَيْكَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَنَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ وَأَنْتَ فِي هَيْأَتِكَ لَيْسَ تُحَرِّكُ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عُثْمَانُ تَجَلَّلْتَ بِثَوْبِكَ فَقَالَ «أَلَا أَسْتَحْيِِي مِمَّنْ تَسْتَحْيِي مِنْهُ الْمَلَائِكَة؟ ُ»
عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "People from my nation will fight in this battle until when they are in the barren land, the earth will swallow the first of them and not spare the middle or the last."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَغْزُو هَذَا الْبَيْتَ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِالْبَيْدَاءِ خُسِفَ بِأَوَّلِهِمْ وَلَمْ يَؤُبْ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَوْ يَنْجُ»
أَبُو مِجْلَزٍ لَاحِقُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] From Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , it is narrated that 'Utharidah bin Hajib came wearing a garment that was given to him by Kisrah. 'Umar bin Al-Khattab said, "O Messenger of Allah, why don't you buy it?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Only someone who has no manners would buy it."
عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ عُطَارِدَ بْنَ حَاجِبٍ قَدِمَ بِثَوْبٍ كَسَاهُ إِيَّاهُ كِسْرَى فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ أَلَا تَشْتَرِيهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «إِنَّمَا يَشْتَرِيهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ»
31.32.14 Subsection
٣١۔٣٢۔١٤ أُمُّ مُبَشِّرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةُ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
“I hope that no one of those who witnessed (the battle of) Badr and (Treaty) Hudaybiyah will enter Hell, if Allah wills.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, doesn’t Allah say “There is not one of you but will pass over it (Hell); this is with your Lord, a decree which must be accomplished?” [19:71] He said: “Have you not heard that He says: ‘Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the wrongdoers therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell)?’” [19:72] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4281)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَالَ اللهُ {وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا كَانَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَقْضِيًّا} قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعِيهِ يَقُولُ {ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا} ؟
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is not permissible for a believing woman to mourn over a deceased person for more than three days except for her husband."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا»
It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter (or believing in Allah and His Messenger) that she should observe mourning for the dead beyond three days except in case of her husband. (Using translation from Muslim 1490a)
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَوْ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا»
31.32.15 Subsection
٣١۔٣٢۔١٥ صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "It is not permissible for a believing woman in Allah and His Messenger to fast more than three consecutive days without the permission of her husband."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I hope that none who witnessed the battles of Badr and Hudaybiyah will enter the Fire, if Allah wills." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, but Allah says, 'There is none amongst you except that he will enter it; for your Lord is determined and decrees it.'" He said, "Did you not hear Him say, 'Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers therein, on their knees'?"
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ مِمَّنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ {وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا كَانَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَقْضِيًّا} قَالَ أَفَلَمْ تَسْمَعِيهِ يَقُولُ {ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا} ؟
[Machine] He informed her that he said to Hafsah, "Do any of you get angry with the Prophet ﷺ today until night?" She said, "Yes."
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِحَفْصَةَ أَتَغْضَبُ إِحْدَاكُنَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى اللَّيْلِ؟ قَالَتْ «نَعَمْ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray two units of prayer at the time of Fajr when the dawn appeared.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ إِذَا أَضَاءَ الْفَجْرُ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are five animals that can be killed without any penalty while in the state of ihram: the crow, the mouse, the scorpion, the wild dog, and the harmful snake."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَمْسٌ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَهُنَّ فِي الْإِحْرَامِ الْغُرَابُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ
the Prophet said: "Whoever did not decide to fast before Fajr then there is no fast for him." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 730)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ لَمْ يُجْمِعِ الصِّيَامَ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ فَلَا صِيَامَ لَهُ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should cease seeking to have children, for when a man dies without a child, his name ends."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَدَعْ أَحَدُكُمْ طَلَبَ الْوَلَدِ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ انْقَطَعَ اسْمُهُ»
[Machine] Hafsah said, "Avoid this man, as we were talking about the Dajjal who emerges from anger that angers him." And Ma'mar reported it from Al-Zuhri like him.
حَفْصَةُ «اجْتَنِبْ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ فَإِنَّا كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّ الدَّجَّالَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ غَضْبَةٍ يَغْضَبُهَا» وَمَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ مِثْلَهُ
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ used to pray two light units (rak'ahs) when dawn breaks.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي سَجْدَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ»
[Machine] "Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , said, 'O Messenger of Allah, why have you not made something permissible?'"
أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ «يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا لَكَ لَمْ تُحِلَّ» الْحَدِيثَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The son of a hunter only goes out in anger that angers him."
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّمَا يَخْرُجُ ابْنُ صَائِدٍ لِغَضْبَةٍ يَغْضَبُهَا»
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why have the people performed Hajj and you have not performed it yet?" He replied, "Indeed, I have shaved my head and have assumed Ihram, so I will not leave the state of Ihram until I perform the sacrifice in Mina."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تُحِلَّ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَهُ بِمِنًى»
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ used to pray two units (rak'ahs) of Fajr when dawn breaks.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ إِذَا أَضَاءَ الْفَجْرُ»
[Machine] The translation of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to shorten the two units of prayer before Fajr."
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُخَفِّفُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قُبَيْلَ الْفَجْرِ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray two light-raka'at when he saw the dawn.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا رَأَى الْفَجْرَ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to prostrate two prostrations when the call for Fajr prayer was made, before performing the Fajr prayer, and he would make them short.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا نُودِيَ بِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ يُخَفِّفُهُمَا»
Ibn 'Umar reported that Hafsa, the Mother of the Believers, informed him that when the Mu'adhdhin became silent after calling (people) to the dawn prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commenced the dawn (prayer) when it dawned by observing two short rak'ahs before the commencement of the (Fard) prayer. أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا سَكَتَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ مِنَ الْأَذَانِ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ وَبَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُقَامَ الصَّلَاةُ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray two units of prayer after Fajr.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to pray two units of prayer during the time of Fajr when the dawn appeared.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ حِينَ طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ»
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to allow myself to perform the pilgrimage with him that he had undertaken."
«أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أُحِلَّ فِي حَجَّتِهِ الَّتِي حَجَّ»
[Machine] The Prophet (PBUH) covered his head when he performed Hajj and shaved his head when he finished it.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «لَبَّدَ رَأْسَهُ حِينَ حَجَّ وَحَلَقَ حِينَ حَلَّ»
What hinders you that you have not put off Ihram? Thereupon he said: I have stuck my hair and driven my sacrificial animal along with men and it is not permissible to put off Ihram (under this condition until I have sacrificed the animal. (Using translation from Muslim 1229e)
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «أَمَرَ أَزْوَاجَهُ أَنْ يُحْلِلْنَ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ»
Hafsa reported that when it was dawn, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not observe (any other prayers) but two short rak'ahs. (Using translation from Muslim 723c)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ narrated that once a woman from his wives told him that a lizard had been brought to him, and some of his companions started eating it, including Sa'd. Then, a woman from the wives of the Prophet ﷺ called out to Sa'd, informing him that it was a lizard. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Eat it, there is no harm in it, but it is not the food of my people."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ مَرَّةً عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُتِيَ بِضَبٍّ فَجَعَلَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَأْكُلُونَهُ وَفِيهِمْ سَعْدٌ فَنَادَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ ضَبٌّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «كُلُوهُ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ طَعَامِ قَوْمِي»
[Machine] She heard Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, saying that the Prophet ﷺ said: "It is not permissible for a believing woman in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for her husband."
أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ تُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ»
[Machine] Some of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ said, I asked the Prophet ﷺ , why do people have what is permissible and what is not? He said, "I have made my head and my garments sacred, so there is nothing permissible for me except what my garments permit."
عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَا لِلنَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تُحِلَّ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَيْسَ لِي مُحِلٌّ إِلَّا مُحِلُّ هَدْيِي»
[Machine] From some of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ , it is reported that he said, "Whoever goes to a fortune-teller, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty days." This narration is attributed.
عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «مَنْ مَشَى إِلَى عَرَّافٍ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللهُ لَهُ صَلَاةً أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا» مَوْقُوفٌ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drinks from a silver vessel will have the fire of Hell rumbling in his stomach."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الَّذِي يَشْرَبُ فِي إِنَاءِ الْفِضَّةِ يُجَرْجِرُ فِي بَطْنِهِ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ»
Hafsa (Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kissed (his wives) while fasting. (Using translation from Muslim 1107a)
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ»
[Machine] The translation of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to place his right hand under his right cheek when he wanted to sleep, then he would say, 'O Allah, protect me from Your torment on the Day You resurrect Your slaves.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ يَضَعُ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى تَحْتَ خَدِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ»
[Machine] "Why don't I buy it for you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Only those who have no dignity wear it."
عُمَرُ أَلَا أَشْتَرِيهِ لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ «إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُهُ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ»
[Machine] Four fasts that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ never used to leave were the fasting of Ashura, the fasting of the tenth of Muharram, and three days of fasting every month.
أَرْبَعٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَدَعُهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صِيَامُ عَاشُورَاءَ وَالْعَشْرُ وَثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fast three days from every month or fast on the days of Monday, Thursday, and the Thursday that follows it."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صُمْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالْخَمِيسَ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ»
[Machine] The translation of the passage into English is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast three days every month, on Mondays and Thursdays."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يَصُومُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِثْنَيْنَ وَخَمِيسَ»
[Machine] It is said that she (referring to Hafsah) used to heal and treat ants. So the Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Teach Hafsah."
يُقَالُ لَهَا الشِّفَاءُ كَانَتْ تَرْقِي فِي النَّمْلَةِ فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عَلِّمِيهَا حَفْصَةَ»

٣١۔٣٢۔١٦ الزِّيَادَاتُ فِي حَدِيثِ حَفْصَةَ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was placing his garment between his thighs when Abu Bakr sought permission from him, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Umar sought permission, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Ali sought permission among some of the Prophet's companions, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Uthman sought permission, and he clothed himself with his garment, and they conversed. Then they left, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr sought permission and you granted him permission while you were in that state. Then Umar sought permission, and you granted him permission while you were in that state. Then Ali sought permission among some of your companions, and you granted him permission while you were in that state. Then Uthman sought permission and you clothed yourself with your garment." He said, "Should I not be shy about something from which the angels are shy?" Ibn Juraij said, "And my father informed me with a similar narration."
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَاضِعًا ثَوْبَهُ بَيْنَ فَخِذَيْهِ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ وَهُوَ كَهَيْأَتِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ وَهُوَ كَهَيْأَتِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلِيٌّ فِي أُنَاسٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ وَهُوَ كَهَيْأَتِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُثْمَانُ فَتَجَلَّلَ بِثَوْبِهِ ثُمَّ تَحَدَّثُوا ثُمَّ خَرَجُوا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اسْتَأْذَنَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَأَذِنْتُ لَهُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى هَيْأَتِكَ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرُ فَأَذِنْتَ لَهُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى هَيْأَتِكَ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلِيٌّ فِي أُنَاسٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ فَأَذِنْتُ لَهُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى هَيْأَتِكَ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُثْمَانُ فَتَجَلَّلْتَ بِثَوْبِكَ فَقَالَ «أَلَا أَسْتَحْيِي مِمَّا تَسْتَحْيِي مِنْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ؟» قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي بِنَحْوِهِ
[Machine] About Urwah ibn Zubair, in the naming of the one who emigrated to the land of Abyssinia (Ethiopia) with Ja'far ibn Abi Talib from the Banu Asad ibn Khuzaimah, Ubaidullah ibn Jahsh ibn Ri'ab died in the land of Abyssinia as a Christian, and with him was Umm Habibah bint Abi Sufyan, whose name is Ramla. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , allowed her to marry her and Uthman ibn Affan in the land of Abyssinia, and Umm Habibah's mother is Safiyyah bint Abi Al-As, the sister of Affan ibn Abi Al-As, the aunt of Uthman ibn Affan.
عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فِي «تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ مَعَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدِ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَحْشِ بْنِ رِئَابٍ مَاتَ بِأَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ نَصْرَانِيًّا وَمَعَهُ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَاسْمُهَا رَمْلَةُ فَخَلَّفَ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْكَحَهُ إِيَّاهَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ بِأَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ وَأُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ أُمُّهَا صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ أُخْتُ عَفَّانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ عَمَّةُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Habiba, and she was in the land of Abyssinia. The Negus married her to him, and the Messenger of Allah did not send anything to her. The dowry of the Prophet's wives was four hundred dirhams.
وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ وَإِنَّهَا لَفِي أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ زَوَّجَهَا إِيَّاهُ النَّجَاشِيُّ وَلَمْ يُرْسِلْ إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِشَيْءٍ وَكَانَ مُهُورُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَرْبَعَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ»
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married Umm Habiba bint Abi Sufyan ibn Harb ibn Umayya ibn Abdi Shams ibn Abd Manaf ibn Qusay ibn Kilab ibn Murrah ibn Ka'b ibn Lu'ay ibn Ghalib ibn Fihr ibn Malik. The name of Umm Habiba's mother was Safiyya bint Abi Al-As and Safiyya was the aunt of Uthman ibn Affan. Uthman was the brother of Abu Sufyan, Umm Habiba's father. Umm Habiba was presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ by Shurahbil ibn Hasanah."
«تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَرْبِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ قُصَيِّ بْنِ كِلَابِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيِّ بْنِ غَالِبِ بْنِ فِهْرِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَاسْمُ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ رَمْلَةُ وَأَنْكَحَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ ؓ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ؓ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ أُمُّهَا صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ وَصَفِيَّةُ عَمَّةُ عُثْمَانَ أُخْتُ عَفَّانَ لِأَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ وَقَدِمَ بِأُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ حَسَنَةَ»
