[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was placing his garment between his thighs when Abu Bakr sought permission from him, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Umar sought permission, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Ali sought permission among some of the Prophet's companions, and he granted him permission while in that state. Then Uthman sought permission, and he clothed himself with his garment, and they conversed. Then they left, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr sought permission and you granted him permission while you were in that state. Then Umar sought permission, and you granted him permission while you were in that state. Then Ali sought permission among some of your companions, and you granted him permission while you were in that state. Then Uthman sought permission and you clothed yourself with your garment." He said, "Should I not be shy about something from which the angels are shy?" Ibn Juraij said, "And my father informed me with a similar narration."
