from the Prophet ﷺ who said, *"The words which Allah loves the most are: 

subḥān Allāh, lā sharīka lahu, lahu al-mulku wa-lahu al-ḥamdu, wa-huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr, lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā bi-Allāh, subḥān Allāhi wa-bi-ḥamdihi

Glory be to Allah who has no partner. His is the Kingdom and praise is His and He has power over all things. There is no power nor strength except by Allah. Glory be to Allah and by His praise."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «أَحَبُّ الْكَلاَمِ إِلَى اللهِ: 

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ۔»

The Prophet ﷺ "Whoever gets up at night and says: -- 'La ilaha il-lallah Wahdahu la Sharika lahu Lahu-lmulk, waLahu-l-hamd wahuwa 'ala kullishai'in Qadir. Al hamdu lil-lahi wa subhanal-lahi wa la-ilaha il-lal-lah wa-l-lahu akbar wa la hawla Wala Quwata il-la-bil-lah.' (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. He is the Only One and has no partners . For Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are due for Him. He is Omnipotent. All the praises are for Allah. All the glories are for Allah. And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, And Allah is Great And there is neither Might nor Power Except with Allah). And then says: -- Allahumma, Ighfir li (O Allah! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allah), he will be responded to and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي أَوْ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَصَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلاَتُهُ

If anyone extols Allah after every prayer thirty-three times, and praises Allah thirty-three times, and declares His Greatness thirty-three times, ninety-nine times in all, and says to complete a hundred:" There is no god but Allah, having no partner with Him, to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him is praise due, and He is Potent over everything," his sins will be forgiven even If these are as abundant as the foam of the sea.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَبَّحَ اللَّهَ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاَةٍ ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ وَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ وَكَبَّرَ اللَّهَ ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ فَتِلْكَ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ وَقَالَ تَمَامَ الْمِائَةِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ غُفِرَتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ

there is no god but Allah alone Who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, and who has power over everything (omnipotent). Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and then he prays: O my Lord, forgive me. Abu Dawud said : Al-Walid’s version has; and he prays, his prayer will be answered. If he gets up, performs ablution, and prays, his prayer will be accepted.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ حِينَ يَسْتَيْقِظُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ دَعَا رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ أَوْ قَالَ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ فَإِنْ قَامَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلاَتُهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever wakes up in the night and says, ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs the Dominion, and to Him is the praise, and He has power over all things. And Glory is to Allah, and all the praise is to Allah, and ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and Allah is the greatest, and there is no might nor power except by Allah (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shai'in qadīr. Wa subḥān Allah, walḥamdulillāh, wa lā ilāha illallāh, wa Allāhu akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.)’ – then he said: ‘O my Lord, forgive me (Rabbighfirlī)’ – or he said – ‘then he supplicates, he shall be responded to. So he makes a firm determination, then performs Wudu', then he performs Salat, his Salat shall be accepted.”

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي أَوْ قَالَ ثُمَّ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ فَإِنْ عَزَمَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلاَتُهُ

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever enters the marketplace and says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is all the praise, He gives life and causes death, He is Living and does not die, in His Hand is the good, and He has power over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihil-khairu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ Allah shall record a million good deeds for him, wipe a million evil deeds away from him, and raise a million ranks for him.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ دَخَلَ السُّوقَ فَقَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكُ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَىٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَرَفَعَ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ دَرَجَةٍ

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever states in the marketplace: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah, Alone, without partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him is all the praise, He gives life and causes death, and He is Living and does not die, in His Hand is the good, and He has power over all things, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, biyadihil-khairu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr)’ Allah shall record a million good deeds for him, wipe a million evil deeds away from him, and build a house in Paradise for him.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ فِي السُّوقِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَىٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَبَنَى لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, (Lā ilāha illallāh, wa Allāhu akbar)’ His Lord affirms his statement and says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Me, and I am the Greatest,’ and when he say: ‘There is none worthy of worship except for Allah, Alone, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu)’ Allah says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except for Me and I am Alone.’ And when he say: ‘There is none worthy of worship except for Allah, Alone, without partner, (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu)’ Allah says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Me, Alone, I have no partner.’ And when he say: ‘There is none worthy of worship except for Allah, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him is the praise, (Lā ilāha illallāh, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu)’ Allah says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Me, to Me belongs all that exists, and to Me is the praise.’ And when he says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Allah, and there is no might or power except by Allah, (Lā ilāha illallāh, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh)’ Allah says: ‘There is none worthy of worship except Me, and there is no might or power except by Me.’” And he used to say: “Whoever says it in his illness, then dies, the Fire shall not consume him.”

أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ صَدَّقَهُ رَبُّهُ فَقَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَأَنَا أَكْبَرُ وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَأَنَا وَحْدِي وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ قَالَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَحْدِي لاَ شَرِيكَ لِي وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ قَالَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا لِيَ الْمُلْكُ وَلِيَ الْحَمْدُ وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ قَالَ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِي وَكَانَ يَقُولُ مَنْ قَالَهَا فِي مَرَضِهِ ثُمَّ مَاتَ لَمْ تَطْعَمْهُ النَّارُ

"I heard Abdullah bin Az-Zubair speaking from the Minbar, saying: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the taslim, he would say: "La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir, la hawla wala quwwata illa billahil-'azim; la ilaha ill-Allahu wa la nabbed illa iyyah, ahlan-ni'mati wal-fadli wath-thana'il-has an; la ilaha ill-Allah, mukhlisina lahud-dina wa law karihal-kafirun (There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT) alone, with no partner or associate. His is the Dominion, to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things; there is no power and no strength except with Allah (SWT) the Almighty. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we worship none but Him, the source of blessing and kindness and the One Who is deserving of all good praise. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him even though the disbelievers detest it. )

سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ لاَ نَعْبُدُ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ أَهْلَ النِّعْمَةِ وَالْفَضْلِ وَالثَّنَاءِ الْحَسَنِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ

"Whoever says, when he enters the marketplace: 'La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamdu, yuhyi wa yumitu, wa Huwa hayyun la yamutu, bi yadihil-khairu kulluhu, wa Huwa ala kulli shay’in Qadir (None has the right to be worshiped but Allah alone, with no partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him is the praise, He gives life and gives death, and He is Ever-Living and does not die; in His Hand is all goodness and He is Able to do all things),' Allah will record for him one million good deeds, and will erase from him one million bad deeds, and will build for him a house in Paradise. "

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَدْخُلُ السُّوقَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَىٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَبَنَى لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

"If a person says: 'La ilaha illallahu wa Allahu Akbar (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Allah is the Most Great),'Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and I am the Most Great.' If a person says: La ilaha Illallah wahdahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah alone), Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, alone.' If he says, La ilaha illallahu la sharikalahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah with no partner or associate),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, with no partner or associate.' If he says: 'La illah illallah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah, all dominion is His and all praise is to Him),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none of worthy of worship except I, all dominion Mine and all praise is due to Me.' If he says: ' La illaha illallah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is none worthy of worship and there is no power and no strength except with Allah),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken then truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and tehre is no power and no strength except with Me.' One of the narrators Abu Ishaq said: "Then Agharr (another narrator) said something that I did not understand. I said to Abu Jafar: 'What did he say?' He said: 'Whoever is blessed with (the ability to say) them (these words) at the time of death, the Fire will not touch him.'"

أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ ﷻ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَأَنَا أَكْبَرُ وَإِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَحْدِي وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَلاَ شَرِيكَ لِي وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا لِيَ الْمُلْكُ وَلِيَ الْحَمْدُ وَإِذَا قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِي قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ثُمَّ قَالَ الأَغَرُّ شَيْئًا لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مَا قَالَ فَقَالَ مَنْ رُزِقَهُنَّ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَمْ تَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever wakes up in the morning and says upon waking: La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in Qadir; Subhan-Allah walhamdu lillahi, wa la ilaha illallahu, wa Allahu Akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-‘Aliyil-‘Azim (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and all praise is to Him, and He is Able to do all things. Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, Allah is the Most Great, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Supreme), then he supplicates Rabbighfirli (O Lord, forgive me), he will be forgiven.’” Walid said: “Or he said: then if he supplicated, it will be answered for him then if he stood up and performed ablution and then performed prayer, his prayer would be accepted.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ حِينَ يَسْتَيْقِظُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ ثُمَّ دَعَا رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي غُفِرَ لَهُ قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ أَوْ قَالَ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ فَإِنْ قَامَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلاَتُهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever wakes up in the night and says, ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs the Dominion, and to Him is the praise, and He has power over all things. And Glory is to Allah, and all the praise is to Allah, and ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and Allah is the greatest, and there is no might nor power except by Allah (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shai'in qadīr. Wa subḥān Allah, walḥamdulillāh, wa lā ilāha illallāh, wa Allāhu akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.)’ – then he said: ‘O my Lord, forgive me (Rabbighfirlī)’ – or he said – ‘then he supplicates, he shall be responded to. So he makes a firm determination, then performs Wudu', then he performs Salat, his Salat shall be accepted.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3414)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي أَوْ قَالَ ثُمَّ دَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ فَإِنْ عَزَمَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى تُقُبِّلَتْ صَلَاتُهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever says in a marketplace, There is no God but Allah alone, with no partner or associate, His is the dominion, to Him all praise is due, all goodness is in His hand, He grants life and death and He has power overall things,ʿ Allah will record for him one thousand thousand good deeds and will erase from him one thousand thousand bad deeds, and will build a house for him in Paradise.ʿ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ فِي سُوقٍ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ بِهَاأَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَبَنَى لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

Teach me the words which I should (often) utter. He said: Utter," There is no god but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him. Allah is the Greatest of the great and all praise is due to Him. Hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the worlds, there is no Might and Power but that of Allah, the All-Powerful and the Wise." He (that desert Arab) said: These all (glorify) my Lord. But what about me? Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: You should say:" O Allah, grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me sustenance." Musa (one of the narrators) said: I think he also said:" Grant me safety." But I cannot say for certain whether he said this or not. "I heard Abdullah bin Az-Zubair speaking from the Minbar, saying: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the taslim, he would say: "La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir, la hawla wala quwwata illa billahil-'azim; la ilaha ill-Allahu wa la nabbed illa iyyah, ahlan-ni'mati wal-fadli wath-thana'il-has an; la ilaha ill-Allah, mukhlisina lahud-dina wa law karihal-kafirun (There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT) alone, with no partner or associate. His is the Dominion, to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things; there is no power and no strength except with Allah (SWT) the Almighty. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we worship none but Him, the source of blessing and kindness and the One Who is deserving of all good praise. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him even though the disbelievers detest it. ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1339)

[AI] He (Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari, companion of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ) heard him (the Messenger of Allah) saying words that whoever mentions them a hundred times after every prayer, Allah is greater, and glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate, and there is no power or might except with Allah. Then, even if his sins were as much as the foam of the sea, they would be forgiven. Abu Abdurrahman said: My father did not mention the phrase "raise him."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever wakes up in the night and says, ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs the Dominion, and to Him is the praise, and He has power over all things. And Glory is to Allah, and all the praise is to Allah, and ‘None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, and Allah is the greatest, and there is no might nor power except by Allah (Lā ilāha illallāh, waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shai'in qadīr. "If a person says: 'La ilaha illallahu wa Allahu Akbar (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Allah is the Most Great),'Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and I am the Most Great.' If a person says: La ilaha Illallah wahdahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah alone), Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, alone.' If he says, La ilaha illallahu la sharikalahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah with no partner or associate),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, with no partner or associate.' There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him even though the disbelievers detest it. ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1339)

أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ لَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ لَهُ الْمَنُّ وَلَهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَهُ الْفَضْلُ وَالثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَنُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ» وَيَقُولُ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever wakes up in the morning and says upon waking: La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in Qadir; Subhan-Allah walhamdu lillahi, wa la ilaha illallahu, wa Allahu Akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-‘Aliyil-‘Azim (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner or associate. His is the dominion and all praise is to Him, and He is Able to do all things. Glory is to Allah, praise is to Allah, none has the right to be worshiped but Allah, Allah is the Most Great, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Supreme), then he supplicates Rabbighfirli (O Lord, forgive me), he will be forgiven.’” Walid said: “Or he said: then if he supplicated, it will be answered for him then if he stood up and performed ablution and then performed prayer, his prayer would be accepted.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3878)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ حِينَ يَسْتَيْقِظُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي غُفِرَ لَهُ وَإِنْ قَامَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَصَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلَاتُهُ» قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ قَالَ «غُفِرَ لَهُ أَوِ اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ فِي سُوقٍ مِنَ الأَسْوَاقِ لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ الله وحده لا شريك لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يَحْيَى وَيُمِيتُ وهُو حَيٌّ لا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وهُو عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ فَإِنْ قَالَهَا مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ وَمَحَا عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئَةٍ وَبُنِيَّ لَهُ بَيْتِا في الجنة

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه قال إن العبد إذا قال لا إله إلاَّ الله والله أكبر صدقه ربه قال صدق عَبدي لا إله إلاَّ أنا وَأنا أكبر وإذا قال العبد لا إله إلاَّ الله وحده صدقه ربه قال لا إله إلاَّ أنا وحدي وإذا قال العبد لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ له صدقه ربه قال لا إله إلاَّ أنا وحدي لا شريك لي وإذا قال العبد لا إِلَهَ إلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ له له الملك وله الحمد صدقه ربه قال لا إله إلاَّ أنا وحدي لا شريك لي لي الملك ولي الحمد وإذا قال العبد لا إلاَّ الله ولاَ حول ولاَ قوة إلاَّ بالله صدقه ربه قال لا إله إلاَّ أنا ولاَ حول ولاَ قوة إلاَّ بي وهذا الحديث قد رواه عَن أبي إسحاق عَن الأغر غير واحد

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever says in any marketplace: 'There is no god but Allah, alone without partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of all things,' Allah will write for him a thousand thousand good deeds."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ فِي سُوقٍ مِنَ الْأَسْوَاقِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ حَسَنَةٍ

[AI] I heard the Prophet (PBUH) say, "Whoever says, 'There is no god but Allah, alone without partner. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is the Ever-Living, who does not die. In His hand is all good, and He has power over all things,' intending thereby the face of Allah, Allah will admit him into the gardens of bliss."

سمعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ الْحَيُّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا يُرِيدُ بِهَا إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ بِهَا جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to say after finishing his prayer before he stands up, "There is no deity except Allah alone, He has no partner, His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things capable. There is no power or strength except with Allah. We do not worship except Him, to Him belongs all blessings and favors, and to Him belongs all good praise. There is no deity except Allah, sincerely devoted to Him in religion."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ انْقِضَاءِ صَلَاتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ لَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ لَهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَهُ الْفَضْلُ وَلَهُ الثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَنُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ»

[AI] I heard Abdullah ibn Zubair saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say after completing the prayer, before standing up, he would raise his voice saying, "There is no deity except Allah, alone without any partners. To Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise. He is capable of everything. There is no power or strength except by Allah. We only worship Him. He possesses all blessings, and to Him belongs all favor and all commendation. There is no deity except Allah, sincerely devoted to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it."

سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ يَرْفَعُ بِذَلِكَ صَوْتَهُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ لَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ لَهُ النِّعْمَةُ وَلَهُ الْفَضْلُ وَلَهُ الثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَنُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever recites these five words and asks Allah for anything, He will grant it to him: there is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest, there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, and He is able to do all things. There is no god but Allah, and there is neither might nor power except with Allah."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ دَعَا بِهَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ الْخَمْسِ لَمْ يَسْأَلِ اللهَ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

"I heard Abdullah bin Az-Zubair speaking from the Minbar, saying: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said the taslim, he would say: "La Ilaha Illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir, la hawla wala quwwata illa billahil-'azim; la ilaha ill-Allahu wa la nabbed illa iyyah, ahlan-ni'mati wal-fadli wath-thana'il-has an; la ilaha ill-Allah, mukhlisina lahud-dina wa law karihal-kafirun (There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT) alone, with no partner or associate. His is the Dominion, to Him be all praise, and He is able to do all things; there is no power and no strength except with Allah (SWT) the Almighty. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we worship none but Him, the source of blessing and kindness and the One Who is deserving of all good praise. There is none worthy of worship except Allah (SWT), and we are sincere in faith and devotion to Him even though the disbelievers detest it. ) (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1339)

[AI] "On the authority of Abu Hurairah who narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whosoever says La ilaha illallah, Wallahu akbar, La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, La ilaha illallah lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, La ilaha illallah wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' and then clasps them with his fingers, then he said: 'Whosoever says them in a day, a night, or a month, and then dies in that day, night, or month, his sins will be forgiven.' Hamzah al-Zayyat differed in its chain of narration and its text."

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ يَعْقِدُهُنَّ خَمْسًا بِأَصَابِعِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَهُنَّ فِي يَوْمٍ أَوْ لَيْلَةٍ أَوْ فِي شَهْرٍ ثُمَّ مَاتَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ أَوْ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ أَوْ فِي ذَلِكَ الشَّهْرِ غُفِرَ لَهُ ذَنْبُهُ خَالَفَهُ حَمْزَةُ الزَّيَّاتُ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ وَمَتْنِهِ

"If a person says: 'La ilaha illallahu wa Allahu Akbar (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Allah is the Most Great),'Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and I am the Most Great.' If a person says: La ilaha Illallah wahdahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah alone), Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, alone.' If he says, La ilaha illallahu la sharikalahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah with no partner or associate),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, with no partner or associate.' If he says: 'La illah illallah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah, all dominion is His and all praise is to Him),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none of worthy of worship except I, all dominion Mine and all praise is due to Me.' If he says: ' La illaha illallah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is none worthy of worship and there is no power and no strength except with Allah),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken then truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and tehre is no power and no strength except with Me.' One of the narrators Abu Ishaq said: "Then Agharr (another narrator) said something that I did not understand. I said to Abu Jafar: 'What did he say?' He said: 'Whoever is blessed with (the ability to say) them (these words) at the time of death, the Fire will not touch him.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3794)

أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَحْدِي وَإِذَا قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا لَا شَرِيكَ لِي وَإِذَا قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا لِيَ الْمُلْكُ وَلِيَ الْحَمْدُ وَإِذَا قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ قَالَ يَقُولُ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِي قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ثُمَّ قَالَ الْأَغَرُّ شَيْئًا لَمُ أَفْهَمْهُ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ أَيَّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ رُزِقَهُنَّ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ لَمْ تَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ»

[AI] They both said, "We have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying words that if anyone says them sincerely, Allah will surely accept them." The words are: "There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest." He said, "My servant has spoken the truth. There is no god but Me, and I am the Greatest. There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner." He said, "My servant has spoken the truth. There is no god but Me, and I have no partner. There is no god but Allah, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise." He said, "My servant has spoken the truth. There is no god but Me, and I am the possessor of dominion and praise. There is no god but Allah, and there is no power or might except with Allah." He said, "My servant has spoken the truth. And there is no power or might except with Me."

أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا إنَّا سَمِعْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ كَلِمَاتٌ مَنْ قَالَهُنَّ صَدَّقَهُنَّ اللهُ مَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَأَنَا أَكْبَرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا لَا شَرِيكَ لِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا وَلِيَ الْمُلْكُ وَالْحَمْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ قَالَ صَدَقَ عَبْدِي وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِي

[AI] In his sleep, Abu Abdullah said that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise. And He is capable of all things. There is no power or strength except through Allah. Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him. There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the greatest. His sins will be forgiven, even if they were as numerous as the foam of the sea. This statement was narrated by Shu'bah in his sleep.

عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ غُفِرَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ لَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ قَالَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

there is no god but Allah alone Who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, and who has power over everything (omnipotent). Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and then he prays: O my Lord, forgive me. Abu Dawud said : Al-Walid’s version has; and he prays, his prayer will be answered. If he gets up, performs ablution, and prays, his prayer will be accepted. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5060)

there is no god but Allah alone Who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, and who has power over everything (omnipotent). Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and then he prays: O my Lord, forgive me. Abu Dawud said : Al-Walid’s version has; and he prays, his prayer will be answered. If he gets up, performs ablution, and prays, his prayer will be accepted. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5060)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي غُفِرَ لَهُ أَوْ قَالَ فَدَعَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ فَإِنْ هُوَ عَزَمَ فَقَامَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَصَلَّى قُبِلَتْ صَلَاتُهُ

"أحبُّ الكلامِ إلى اللهِ، سبحانَ الله، لا شريك لَهُ، له الملكُ وله الحمدُ وهو علَى كل شئٍ قديرٌ، ولا حولَ ولا قوةَ إلا باللهِ، سبحان الله وبحمدهِ".

"If a person says: 'La ilaha illallahu wa Allahu Akbar (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Allah is the Most Great),'Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and I am the Most Great.' If a person says: La ilaha Illallah wahdahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah alone), Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, alone.' If he says, La ilaha illallahu la sharikalahu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah with no partner or associate),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, with no partner or associate.' If he says: 'La illah illallah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah, all dominion is His and all praise is to Him),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none of worthy of worship except I, all dominion Mine and all praise is due to Me.' If he says: ' La illaha illallah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is none worthy of worship and there is no power and no strength except with Allah),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken then truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and tehre is no power and no strength except with Me.' One of the narrators Abu Ishaq said: "Then Agharr (another narrator) said something that I did not understand. I said to Abu Jafar: 'What did he say?' He said: 'Whoever is blessed with (the ability to say) them (these words) at the time of death, the Fire will not touch him.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3794)

"إذا قال العبدُ: لا إِلهَ إلا الله، والله أكبرُ، قال الله: صدقَ عبدى، لا إله إلا أنا وأنا أكبر، وإذا قال: لا إله إلَّا الله وحْده قال: صدقَ عبدى، لا إله إلا أنا وأنا وحدى، فإِذَا قال: لا إله إلا الله لا شريكَ له قال: صدق عبدى، لا إله إلا أنا ولا شريك لي، فإِذا قال: لا إلهَ إلا الله لهُ المُلكُ ولَهُ الحمدُ قال: صدق عبدى لا إله إلا أنا لي الملك ولى الحمد، وإذا قال: لا إِله إلا الله (ولا حولَ) ولا قوةَ إلّا بالله، قال: صدقَ عبْدي لا إله إلا أنَا، ولا حوْلَ وَلا قوةَ إلا بي، مَنْ رُزِقَهُنَ عند موْتِه لم تمسه النارُ".

"مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَتَعَارُّ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيلِ فَيَقُولُ: الله أَكْبَرُ، وَسُبْحَانَ الله، وَلَا إِله إِلا الله، وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلكُ وَلهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيي وَيُمِيتُ، وَهُو علَى كُلِّ شىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، وَلَا حوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِالله، أَسْتَغْفِرُ الله الْغَفُورَ الرَّحِيمَ، إِلا سَلَخَهُ الله مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ كَيَومِ وَلَدَتْه أُمُّهُ".

"مَنْ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيلِ فَقَال حِينَ يَسْتَيقظُ: لَا إِلهَ إِلا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ يُحْيى وَيُمِيتُ بيَدِهِ الخَيرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالحَمْدُ للهِ، وَلَا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ، ثُمَّ قَال: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لي وَدَعَا اسْتُجيبَ لَهُ، فَإِن قَامَ فَتَوَضأ ثُمَّ صَلّى قُبِلَتْ صَلاتُهُ".

"مَنْ دَخَلَ السُّوقَ فَقَال: لا إِلهَ إِلا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُميتُ، وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لا يَمُوتُ، بيَده الْخَيرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ- كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بهَا أَلْفَ أَلْفَ حَسَنَةٍ، وَمَحَا عَنْهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ سَيِّئةٍ، وَرَفَعَ لَهُ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ دَرَجَةٍ وَبَنَى لَهُ بَيتًا في الجنَّةِ".

"مَنْ دَعَا بهَؤُلاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ الْخَمْسِ لَمْ يَسْأَل الله شَيئًا إِلا أَعْطَاهُ: لا إِله إِلا اللهُ، واللهُ أَكبَرُ لا إِلهَ إِلا الله، وَحْدَهُ لا شَريكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، لا إِلهَ إِلا اللهُ، وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَة إِلا بِاللهِ".

"مَنْ سَبَّحَ الله في دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاة ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ، وَحَمِدَ الله ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ، وَكَبَّرَ الله ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثينَ، فَتلْكَ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ، وَقال تَمَام الْمِائَةِ: لا إِلهَ إِلا الله وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلكُ وَلَه الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، غُفِرَتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَإنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ".
