The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ghusl (taking a bath) on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim reaching the age of puberty."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every male (Muslim) who has attained the age of puberty."

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim who has attained the age of puberty."

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Bath on Friday is compulsory for those who have attained the age of puberty."

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ؓ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

Taking a bath on Friday is essential for every adult person.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

Bathing on Friday for every adult, using of Miswak and applying some perfume, that is available-these are essential. So far as the perfume is concerned, it may be that used by a lady.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَسِوَاكٌ وَيَمَسُّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا قَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا لَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَالَ فِي الطِّيبِ وَلَوْ مِنْ طِيبِ الْمَرْأَةِ

Taking bath on Friday is necessary for every adult.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said: It is necessary for every adult (person) to go for (saying) Friday (prayer), and for everyone who goes for Friday (prayer) washing is necessary. Abu Dawud said: If one takes bath after sunrise, even though he washes because of seminal emission, that will be enough for him for his washing on Friday.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَعَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ رَاحَ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْغُسْلُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: Washing and the use of tooth-stick are necessary for every adult (person) on Friday; and everyone should apply perfume whatever one has. The narrator Bukair did not mention of 'Abd al-Rahman; and about perfume he said that even it might be of the kind used by women.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَيَمَسُّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا قُدِّرَ لَهُ إِلاَّ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا لَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَالَ فِي الطِّيبِ وَلَوْ مِنْ طِيبِ الْمَرْأَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Going to Jumu'ah is obligatory for everyone who has reached the age of puberty.'"

عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ghusl and using siwak on Fridays are obligatory for everyone who has reached the age of puberty, and he should put on whatever he can find of perfume." Except that Bukair (one of the narrators in one chain) did not mention 'Abdur-Rahman, and about the perfume he said: "Even if it is women's perfume."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَيَمَسُّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا قَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا لَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَالَ فِي الطِّيبِ وَلَوْ مِنْ طِيبِ الْمَرْأَةِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ghusl should be performed on Friday by everyone who has reached the age of puberty, and using the siwak, and he should put on whatever he is able of using perfume."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ الْغُسْلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكَ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ

“Bath on Fridays is obligatory for every male who has reached the age of puberty.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ»

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَالَ هُوَ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ghusl should be performed on Friday by everyone who has reached the age of puberty, and using the siwak, and he should put on whatever he is able of using perfume." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1383)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَوْ مِنْ طِيبِ أَهْلِهِ

[AI] Abu Salamah Al-Khuzai narrated to us, Malik informed us from Safwan bin Sulaim, on the authority of Ata' bin Yasar, from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The bath on Friday is obligatory upon every male who has reached puberty."

وحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَعْنِي الْخُزَاعِيَّ أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ghusl should be performed on Friday by everyone who has reached the age of puberty, and using the siwak, and he should put on whatever he is able of using perfume." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1383)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الْغُسْلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكَ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Every Muslim man has to perform Ghusl one day in every seven, and that is on Friday.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1378)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ غُسْلٌ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَيَّامٍ كُلَّ جُمُعَةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "It is obligatory upon every Muslim to perform ghusl (ritual bath), apply perfume, and use siwak on the day of Friday."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَقٌّ عَلَىكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ الْغُسْلُ وَالطِّيبُ وَالسِّوَاكُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Said ibn Abi Said al-Maqburi that Abu Hurayra used to say, "Doing ghusl as prescribed for major ritual impurity is incumbent (wajib) on the day of jumua on every male who has reached puberty."

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ كَغُسْلِ الْجَنَابَةِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Safwan ibn Sulaym from Ata ibn Yasar from Abu Said al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ghusl on the day of jumua is incumbent on every male who has reached puberty."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Every Muslim man has to perform Ghusl one day in every seven, and that is on Friday.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1378)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ فِي كُلِّ سَبْعَةِ أَيَّامٍ غُسْلٌ وَهُوَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ»

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Every person who takes a bath should go for Friday prayer, and it is obligatory for the one who performs ghusl (ritual bathing) to do so."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَعَلَى مَنْ رَاحَ الْغُسْلُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ghusl (taking a bath) on Friday is compulsory for every Muslim reaching the age of puberty." (Using translation from Bukhārī 858)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا قَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ»

[AI] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take a bath on the day of Friday and wash your heads, unless you are in a state of impurity, and touch some fragrance."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اغْتَسِلُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاغْسِلُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا جُنُبًا وَمَسُّوا مِنَ الطِّيبِ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ السِّوَاكُ وَغُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنْ طِيبِ أَهْلِهِ إن كان

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the rights of Friday are using the Siwak, performing Ghusl (ritual bathing), and whoever finds perfume should apply it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مِنْ حَقِّ الْجُمُعَةِ السِّوَاكُ وَالْغُسْلُ وَمَنْ وَجَدَ طِيبًا فَلْيَمَسَّ مِنْهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Performing ghusl (ritual bath) on the day of Friday is a recommended practice."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ سُنَّةٌ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Performing ablution on Friday is obligatory for every person who has reached puberty, and the washing is like purification from janabah."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الرَّوَاحُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالْغُسْلُ كَاغْتِسَالِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Performing Rawaḥ on Fridays is obligatory for every menstruating woman, and washing is like cleansing oneself from impurity."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الرَّوَاحُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالْغُسْلُ كَاغْتِسَالِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Going to Jumu'ah is obligatory for everyone who has reached the age of puberty.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1371)

عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ»

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «غُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ»

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Anyone of you coming for the Jumua prayer should take a bath." (Using translation from Bukhārī 894)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ جَاءَ مِنْكُمُ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Ghusl should be performed on Friday by everyone who has reached the age of puberty, and using the siwak, and he should put on whatever he is able of using perfume." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1383)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الْغُسْلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَالسِّوَاكَ وَأَنْ يَمَسَّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The ghusl (ritual bath) on Friday is obligatory for every person who has reached puberty. It is recommended to recite the Surah Al-Qunut in it." In another narration by Ibn Wahb, it is mentioned that the ghusl on Friday is recommended.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْقَعْنَبِيِّ وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: It is necessary for every adult (person) to go for (saying) Friday (prayer), and for everyone who goes for Friday (prayer) washing is necessary. Abu Dawud said: If one takes bath after sunrise, even though he washes because of seminal emission, that will be enough for him for his washing on Friday. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 342)

النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَعَلَى مَنْ رَاحَ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْغُسْلُ

[AI] Narrated by Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet, Muhammad, that Allah's Messenger said: "A ritual bath is obligatory (wajib) on every adult Muslim who takes a nap on the day of Friday, and also on those who go for Friday prayer."

عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَعَلَى مَنْ رَاحَ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ غُسْلٌ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "The washing on the day of Friday is obligatory upon every person who has reached puberty." In another narration, Yahya stated, "The washing on the day of Friday is obligatory."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَحْيَى الْغُسْلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

"الرَّوَاحُ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ، والْغُسْلُ كاغْتِسَالِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ".

"السِّوَاكُ وَاجِبٌ، وغُسْل الْجُمُعَةُ واجبٌ على كُلِّ مُسْلِم".

"رَوَاحُ الجُمعَة واجبٌ على كُلِّ مُحْتِلمٍ، وعلَى من راحَ إِلى الجُمعَة غُسْلٌ".

"عَلَى كُلِّ مسلِم غُسلٌ في سَبعَةِ أَيَّام في كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ".

"عَلى كلِّ مُحتَلِم رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعة وَعَلَى كُلِّ مَنْ رَاحَ الجُمُعةَ الغُسلُ".

"غُسْلُ يَوم الجُمُعَة وَاجِبٌ كَوُجُوب غُسلِ الجَنَابَةِ".

"غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ".

"غُسْلُ الجمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عل كلِّ مسْلِمٍ".

"غُسْلُ يَوْم الجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِم كغُسْلِ الجَنَابَةِ".

"مَنْ حَضَرَ مِنْكُمُ الْجُمُعَةَ فَليَغْتَسِلْ كَغُسْلِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ".
