65.90 Surat al-Balad (The City)

٦٥۔٩٠ سورة {لاَ أُقْسِمُ}

[Machine] And Mujahid said, "By this city, Mecca, you are not responsible for what people commit there in terms of sins. And (by) the father, Adam, and what (his) offspring (were burdened with), there is much weariness. And (the regions of) Najd, (are) both good and bad. A famine-stricken (land) and a dusty (land) that falls into the soil. It is said, 'So he did not succeed in conquering the difficult obstacle.' So he did not succeed in conquering the difficult obstacle in this worldly life. Then he explained the difficult obstacle and said, 'And what do you know what the difficult obstacle is? It is the freeing of a slave or feeding (people) on a day with famine. (Meaning) in a difficult time.' In (the context of) toil."
