65.14.1 The Statement of Allah "... As a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed..." (V.14:24)

٦٥۔١٤۔١ باب قَوْلِهِ {كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ * تُؤْتِي أُكْلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ}

bukhari:4698ʿUbayd b. Ismāʿīl > Abū Usāmah > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

While we were with Messenger of Allah ﷺ he said, "Tell me of a tree which resembles a Muslim man. Its leaves do not fall and it does not, and does not, and does not, and it gives its fruits every now and then." It came to my mind that such a tree must be the date palm, but seeing Abu Bakr and ʿUmar saying nothing, I disliked to speak. So when they did not say anything, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is the date-palm tree." When we got up (from that place), I said to ʿUmar, "O my father! By Allah, it came to my mind that it must be the date palm tree." ʿUmar said, "What prevented you from speaking" I replied, "I did not see you speaking, so I misliked to speak or say anything." ʿUmar then said, "If you had said it, it would have been dearer to me than so-and-so."

65.14.2 "Allah will keep firm those who believe with, the word that stands firm..." (V.14:27)

٦٥۔١٤۔٢ باب {يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ}

bukhari:4699Abū al-Walīd > Shuʿbah > ʿAlqamah b. Marthad > Saʿd b. ʿUbaydah > al-Barāʾ b. ʿĀzib

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a Muslim is questioned in his grave, he will testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and that is what is meant by Allah's Statement:-- "Allah will keep firm those who believe with a Word that stands firm in this world and in the Hereafter." (14.27)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْمُسْلِمُ إِذَا سُئِلَ فِي الْقَبْرِ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ {يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الآخِرَةِ}

65.14.3 "Have you not seen those who have changed the Blessings of Allah into disbelief?..." (V.14:28)

٦٥۔١٤۔٣ باب {أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا}

[Machine] Did you not see? Did you not know his saying: "Did you not see those who went out?" They go towards destruction, perishing completely. A people doomed to perish.

bukhari:4700ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh > Sufyān > ʿAmr > ʿAṭāʾ > Ibn ʿAbbās Alam Tar > al--Adhīn Baddalūā Niʿmah Allāh Kufr

When Ibn ʿAbbas heard:-- "Have you not seen those who have changed the favor of Allah into disbelief?" (14.28) he said, "Those were the disbelieving pagans of Mecca."
