[Machine] I went out with my master while I was a young boy, and I was assigned to Hudhayfah. He said, "If a man speaks only one word during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he will be considered a hypocrite. And I hear this from one of you four times in one sitting. You should enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil and exhort one another to do good, or else Allah will soon bring punishment upon you all. He will then cause your wicked people to have power over you, and your supplications will not be answered."
"Whenever the Messenger of Allah got up for prayer at night to pray Tahajjud (night optional prayer), he would clean his mouth with the tooth stick." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 286)
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Do not drink from gold or silver vessels, and do not wear silk or brocade, for indeed they are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter.'"
[Machine] A man from the tribe of Fazarah came to the Prophet ﷺ with some wild animals that he had caught. He began flipping one of the animals in his hand and said, "A nation has been transformed." The Prophet said, "And the greatest of my knowledge is that he said, 'I do not know what it has done.'" He said, "And I do not know, perhaps this is one of them." Shu'bah said, and Husein said, from Zaid bin Wahb, from Hudhaifah, he said, "And he mentioned something similar to this." He did not command anything regarding it, nor did he forbid anyone.
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Indeed, this world is a source of harm from which nothing prevents Allah from finding a righteous servant on the Earth and testing him until Allah punishes him by the hands of His soldiers, humiliating him to the extent that he cannot even avoid a mound of dirt."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The distance between my fountain (in Paradise) and the Ka'bah is like the distance between 'Ayla and Mudar. Its vessels are more numerous, or he said, equal to the number of stars in the sky. Its water is sweeter than honey, whiter than milk, cooler than snow, and its fragrance is more pleasant than musk. Whoever drinks from it will never be thirsty again."
[Machine] The passage translates to: "Between the two ends of the Prophet's ﷺ basin lies Ka'ila and Egypt. Yunus mentioned it in this way, just as Affan said."
[Machine] I said to 'Ammaar, "Have you seen the production you have made in the matter of Ali? Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ consult you in this matter or give you any directive?" He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not give us any directive different from what he gave to all the people. However, Hudhayfah informed me that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Among my companions, there are twelve hypocrites, eight of whom will not enter Paradise until camels pass through the eye of a needle.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ did not pray in the Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, and if he had prayed in it, it would have been prescribed for you to pray in it as well.
[Machine] Abu Tufayl said: There was a dispute between Hudayfah and a man from the people of al-Aqabah, which was something between the people. He said, "I swear by Allah, tell me about the people of al-Aqabah." So the people said to him, "Inform him," when he asked. He said, "We were informed that they were fourteen." Abu Nu'aym said, "The man said, 'We were informed that they were fourteen.'" He said, "If you are one of them," and Abu Nu'aym mentioned them, "then the people were fifteen." And I bear witness by Allah that twelve of them were warriors for the sake of Allah and His Messenger in this worldly life, and on the Day of Resurrection, the witnesses will stand. Abu Ahmad said, "The witnesses and our excuse are three." They said, "We did not hear the caller of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we did not know what the people intended." Abu Ahmad said in his narration, "And he was in Harrah, so he left and said to the people, 'Indeed, the water is scarce, so let no one surpass me to it.' And he found a group who had surpassed him, so he cursed them that day."
[Machine] "What I conceal after concealing is what was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, which was being pushed away from her more than any other concealment. It was placed in this spot and he said, 'Today, you are the people of the Arabs, you will face matters that were certainly present during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, hypocrisy on his face.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A group of people will emerge from the Fire after it has consumed them. They will be called the Jahannamis."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ placed his hand on my chest and said, "Whoever says 'There is no god but Allah' with sincerity, seeking the face of Allah, will be sealed with it and will enter Paradise. And whoever fasts a day seeking the face of Allah, will be sealed with it and will enter Paradise. And whoever gives charity seeking the face of Allah, will be sealed with it and will enter Paradise."
I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 105a)
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Quran was revealed in seven dialects/variations."
"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Either you command good and forbid evil, or Allah will soon send upon you a punishment from Him, then you will call upon Him, but He will not respond to you. " (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2169)
[Machine] He said, "O Messenger of Allah, we were in a state of evil, and Allah removed that evil and brought goodness through your hands. Will there be any evil after this goodness?" He ﷺ said, "Yes." He then asked, "What is it?" He ﷺ said, "Tribulations, like the dark patches of the night that follow one another, when one passes, another comes. They will come to you, confusing in appearance, like the patches of a dark night. Be prepared for them and hold fast to your faith, for you will not know which of them you may encounter."
[Machine] My mother asked me, "Since when have you had a connection with the Prophet ﷺ?" I replied, "Since this and that time." She then became displeased with me and cursed me. I said to her, "Leave me alone, for I will go to the Prophet ﷺ and pray Maghrib with him, and then I will not leave until he seeks forgiveness for me and for you." So, I went to the Prophet ﷺ and prayed Maghrib with him. The Prophet ﷺ then prayed Isha and finished. I followed him, and someone approached him privately and spoke to him. Then, the person left, and I followed him. He heard my voice and asked, "Who is this?" I said, "Hudhaifah." He asked, "What do you want?" So, I informed him of the matter. He said, "May Allah forgive you and your mother." Then he said, "Did you see the person who approached me earlier?" I said, "Yes." He said, "That was an angel from the angels who had never descended to the Earth before this night. He sought permission from his Lord to greet me and give me glad tidings that Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn are the chiefs of the youth of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the chief of the women of Paradise."
[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and prayed Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha with him. Then, I followed him when he wanted to enter his house, he stood up and I was behind him as if he was talking to someone. He said, "Who is this?" I said, "Hudhayfah." He said, "Do you know who was with me?" I said, "No." He said, "Verily, Jibril came to give me glad tidings that Hasan and Hussein are the leaders of the youth of Paradise." Hudhayfah said, "So, seek forgiveness for me and my mother." He said, "May Allah forgive you, O Hudhayfah, and your mother."
[Machine] A man passed by and they said, "This is the messenger of the princes." Huzaifah said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'A backbiter will not enter Paradise.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "I was taken on the Buraq, a white animal, long in length, placing its hoof at the farthest end. Gabriel and I did not move from its back until I arrived at the house of the Holy Sanctuary. The gates of heaven were opened for us and I saw Paradise and Hellfire." Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman asked, "Did he pray in the House of the Holy Sanctuary?" Zirr replied, "Yes, he prayed." Hudhayfah said, "What is your name, bald man? For I recognize your face, but I do not know your name." Zirr said, "I am Zirr bin Hubaysh." Hudhayfah asked, "How do you know that he prayed?" Zirr replied, "He said: 'Exalted is He who took his servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing.' (Quran 17:1)" Hudhayfah said, "So did you witness him praying?" Zirr answered, "If he had prayed, you would have prayed in it (al-Masjid al-Aqsa) as you pray in al-Masjid al-Haram." Zirr then tied the animal to the ring that the prophets used to tie their animals with. Hudhayfah asked, "Did he fear that it would be taken from him when Allah had given it to him?"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I was brought (during the Isra and Mi'raj) the Buraq, and its meaning was mentioned. Hasan has good narrations in his Hadith, meaning this Hadith. And both Hasan and Affan saw Paradise and Hell. And the gates of Heaven were opened for them to see both Paradise and Hell."
[Machine] A young man from the people of Kufa named Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman said, "O Abu Abdullah, did you see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and keep his company?" He replied, "Yes, O nephew of my brother." The young man asked, "How did you behave?" He replied, "By Allah, we exerted ourselves." The young man said, "By Allah, if we had reached him, we would not have left him even if he walked on the ground. We would have made him our leader." Hudhayfah then said, "By Allah, O nephew of my brother, I saw myself with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Battle of the Trench. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed a nocturnal prayer and then turned towards us and said, 'Who among you will stand and see what the people are doing? Anyone who stands will be guaranteed Paradise by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' No one stood up. Then he prayed another nocturnal prayer and turned towards us again and said the same thing. No one stood up. Then he said, 'O Hudhayfah, go and enter among the people and see what they are doing, but do not inform them until you come back to us.' So I went and entered among the people, and the winds and the soldiers of Allah were doing what they were doing. They did not care about any possessions, fire, or building. Then Abu Sufyan ibn Harb stood up and said, 'O people of Quraysh, let someone among you look at his companion.' Hudhayfah said, 'I took the hand of the man who was beside me and said, 'Who are you?' He replied, 'I am so and so, the son of so and so.' Then Abu Sufyan said, 'O people of Quraysh, by Allah, you are not staying in a permanent dwelling. Al-Kurah has been destroyed and the Banu Qurayzah have betrayed us. We have received information that we dislike, and we are facing winds that make us uneasy. There is no security for us, nor is there a fire for us, nor is there a building that can withstand for us. So depart, for I am departing.' Then he stood by his camel and mounted it. The camel jumped three times and did not release its reins until it was standing. If it were not for the pledge of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I should not inform anyone until I came back to him, and then do whatever I wished, I would have killed him with an arrow." Hudhayfah continued, "Then I returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who was praying while standing on a mat with the edges turned up. When he saw me, he took me to his resting place and threw a corner of the mat over me. Then he performed the bowing and prostration of his prayer while I was under the mat. When he finished, I informed him of the news. Ghatafan heard of what Quraysh had done and they returned to their lands."

[Machine] He was heard saying by Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was absent from us one day and did not come out until we thought that he would not come out. When he came out, he performed a prostration and we thought that his soul had been taken. When he raised his head, he said, "Indeed, my Lord consulted me about my nation, asking me what should be done with them. I said, 'Whatever you please, O Lord, for they are your creation and your servants.' He consulted me a second time and I said the same. He said to me, 'I will not cause you distress regarding your nation, O Muhammad, and I give you glad tidings that the first to enter Paradise from my nation with me will be seventy thousand, and with every thousand, another seventy thousand who will not be taken into account.' Then he sent for me and said, 'Supplicate, and you will be answered and ask, and it will be given to you.' So I said to his messenger, 'Is it my Lord who is answering my supplication?' He replied, 'No one sends me to you except to grant your request, for indeed, my Lord has granted me (the privilege) that I should not be proud nor be harmed by my self before or after my Prophethood (i.e., in my worldly life or in the Hereafter); and I was granted three things: I was granted victory over my enemies, awe is cast into the hearts of my enemies, and the earth was made a mosque and pure for me (and my followers), so wherever a man from my people wants to pray, he can do so.' And he was granted five things: He was granted the Kauthar (a river in Paradise); his followers were many even without fighting and the spoils were made lawful for him, and he was made victorious and upheld (by Allah) other than him from the Prophets; and Allah made me the first of all the Prophets to enter Paradise, and it was scented for me (with musk) and the widest place there was made for me (i.e., a special place) there, and I was granted intercession."

[Machine] Hudhayfah, the most similar person to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, from the time he leaves his house until he returns, I do not know what he does with his family. Abdullah bin Mas'ud was known by the protected companions of Muhammad ﷺ that Abdullah is the closest to Allah among them and a means on the Day of Judgment.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was brought the Burāq, which is a white, tall creature that places its hoof at the farthest point it can reach. It was said that neither he nor Jibrīl moved its back until they reached the House of al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). The gates of the heavens were opened for them and they saw Paradise and Hellfire. Hudaifah said that the Prophet did not pray in al-Maqdis. I said, "Yes, indeed he prayed." Hudaifah asked, "What is your name, O bald one? I recognize your face but I do not know your name." I said, "I am Zirr ibn Hubaysh." He asked, "What makes you so sure? Did you see him praying?" I said, "I said this because of the saying of Allah, 'Glorified is He who carried His servant by night.'" Hudaifah asked again, "Did you see him praying?" If he had prayed there, then we would have prayed there just as we pray in the Sacred Mosque." It was said to Hudaifah that he tied the creature to the ring that the Prophets used to tie their mounts with. Hudaifah said, "Did he fear that it would go away when Allah has given it to him?"

he performed Salat with the Prophet, and that while he was bowing he would say: (Subhana Rabbiyal Azim); "Glorious is my Lord the Magnificent" and while prostrating: (Subhana Rabbiyal A'la) 'Glorious is my Lord the Most High.' And he would not recite an Ayah mentioning mercy, except that he would stop and ask (for mercy), and he would not recite an Ayah mentioning punishment, except that he would stop and seek refuge (with Allah from it). [Machine] So, I was sitting with Abi Mas'ud and Hudhayfah when Abi Mas'ud said, "I used to not see a person who would abandon something, in which blood was shed." Hudhayfah said, "But I knew [that] if you were to abandon walking with something on your back in which no blood was shed, and I didn't know any of that except what I knew, Muhammad ﷺ is alive. Indeed, a man may become a believer in the morning and then in the evening lose whatever he had and in the evening a believer and in the morning have whatever he didn't have. He fights against his own people today and then Allah kills him tomorrow and his heart flips inside out." I said, "Does his heart flip inside out?" He said, "It does."

[Machine] Huzaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "By Allah, Muzarr does not harm a believing slave of Allah except that they put him to trial, kill him, or cause harm to him, until they prevent him from sinning a slight sin. So a man asked him, "Do you say this, O Abu 'Abdullah, while you are a man of Muzarr?" He said, "I only say what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said."

He said, "I do not know anyone who was closer in direction, guidance, and evidence to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than the wall of his house hiding him (the Prophet) from the son of Umm 'Abd. We have never heard this from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid. The preserved companions of Muhammad ﷺ know that the son of Umm 'Abd is the closest among them all to Allah and a means (of blessings).

[Machine] "Then he asked the people, 'Who among you has witnessed the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah?' Hudhaifa replied, 'I performed a rak'ah (unit of prayer) with a group of people while facing the enemy, then they left and stood in the place of their companions who were facing the enemy. Another group came and the Messenger of Allah prayed a rak'ah with them, then he made the salaam (ending the prayer). So the Messenger of Allah had two rak'ahs, and each group had one rak'ah.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "I heard him saying that with the Dajjal (Antichrist), there will be water and fire. People will perceive the fire as water, and the water as fire. Whoever of you encounters this, let him fall into what he perceives as fire, for it will be cool water. Hudhaifah said, "I heard him saying that a man from among those before you had an angel come to him to take his soul. The angel asked him, 'Did you do any good?' He replied, 'I do not know.' It was said to him, 'Look.' He said, 'I do not know anything except that I used to trade with the people, taking risks with them. I would look out for the one in financial difficulty and waive his debt. Allah admitted him to Paradise." Hudhaifah said, "I heard him saying that a man faced death, so when he despaired of life, he instructed his family: 'When I die, gather a large amount of firewood and set it ablaze until my flesh and bones are consumed. Then take the ashes and scatter them in the sea.' They did as he instructed, and Allah gathered him to Himself and asked him, 'Why did you do that?' He said, 'Out of fear of You.' Allah forgave him." Uqbah bin Amr said, "I heard him saying that, and he was a story-teller."

Nothing prevented me from being present at! he Battle of Badr except this incident. I came out with my father Husail (to participate in the Battle), but we were caught by the disbelievers of Quraish. They said: (Do) you intend to go to Muhammad? We said: We do not intend to go to him, but we wish to go (back) to Medina. So they took from us a covenant in the name of God that we would turn back to Medina and would not fight on the side of Muhammad ﷺ. So, we came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and related the incident to him. He said: Both, of you proceed (to Medina) ; we will fulfil the covenant made with them and seek God's help against them. (Using translation from Muslim 1787)

[Machine] Huzaifa bin Al-Yaman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "While I was praying, I heard someone say, 'O Allah, all praise is due to You, all kingdom belongs to You, all goodness is in Your hands, and all matters return to You, both visible and hidden. It is worthy for praise that You are capable of everything. O Allah, forgive all my past sins, protect me for the remainder of my life, and grant me pure deeds that You are pleased with.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'That was an angel who came to teach you how to praise your Lord.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took hold of the muscle of his leg or the muscle of his calf and said, "The izaar (lower garment) should be up to here. If you refuse, then it should be up to here. And if you refuse, then it should be up to here. And if you refuse, then there is no right for the izaar regarding the calves, or there is no right for the calves regarding the izaar."
Whan Hudhaifah was in al-Mada’in, he asked for water. A peasant brought him a silver vessel. He threw it away and said: I threw it away, for I prohibited (him) but he did not stop. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade to wear silk or brocade, and to drink from gold and silver vessels. He said: Others have them in this world and you will have them in the next. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3723)
[Machine] "I found in the book of my father, written in his own handwriting, something that I had never heard from him before. It was a saying of Qatadah, who narrated from Abu Mas'har, who narrated from Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, who narrated from Hammam, who narrated from Hudhayfah, that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'Among my nation, there will be liars and deceivers, twenty-seven of them, and four of them will be women. And indeed, I am the Seal of the Prophets, there will be no prophet after me.'"
I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 105a)
[Machine] He saw a man who did not complete the bowing or prostration, so when he finished his prayer, Hudhayfah called him and said to him, "How long have you been praying this prayer?" He replied, "I have been praying it for such and such time." Hudhayfah said to him, "You have not prayed, or you have not prayed a prayer for Allah, in the manner of the guided ones, and I believe that even if you die, you will die on a way other than the Sunnah of Muhammad ﷺ ."
[Machine] I invited him to eat, and he said "I also want to fast", so we ate and drank, then we went to the mosque and performed prayer. Then Hudhayfah said, "This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did with me." I asked, "Is it still before dawn?" He said, "Yes, it is still before dawn, but the sun has not risen." He also said, "Between the house of Hudhayfah and the mosque is like the distance between the mosque of Thabit and Bostan Hawt." Hammad also said the same, and Hudhayfah said, "This is what I did with the Prophet ﷺ and he did with me."
