A believer does not receive (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that but Allah elevates him in rank or effaces his sins because of that.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً أَوْ حَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There is nothing (in the form of trouble) that comes to a believer even if it is the pricking of a thorn that there is decreed for him by Allah good or his sins are obliterated.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ تُصِيبُهُ إِلاَّ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً أَوْ حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ

“No one prostrates to Allah but Allah will record one Hasanah (good reward) for him, and will erase thereby one bad deed and raise him in status one degree. So prostrate a great deal.”

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلاَّ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَمَحَا عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً فَاسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ السُّجُودِ

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "Every step taken towards prayer is written as a good deed and erases a bad deed."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ يُكْتَبُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ وَيُمْحَى عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةٌ

[AI] We narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, "You all lie against me." And he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no Muslim who prostrates to Allah in a prostration except that Allah raises him in rank and removes a sin from him with it.'

حَدِّثْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ تَكْذِبُونَ عَلَيَّوَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

[AI] I said to Thawban, the servant of the Prophet ﷺ , "Tell us a hadith that benefits us in the sight of Allah." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No servant prostrates to Allah in a prostration except that Allah raises him by a rank and removes from him a sin with it.'"

قُلْتُ لِثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا يَنْفَعُنَا اللهُ بِهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

[AI] We have narrated about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "You lie upon me. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no Muslim who prostrates to Allah in a single prostration except that Allah raises him in rank by it and removes from him a sin by it.'

عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَاعْتَلَجَ نَاسٌ فَأَصَابَ طُنُبُ الْفُسْطَاطِ عَيْنَ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ فَضَحِكُوا فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ تَشُوكُهُ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا حَطَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا ضَرَبَ مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ عِرْقٌ إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهِ خَطِيئَةً وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no Muslim who is pricked by a thorn or anything higher than it, but Allah will raise him in status and forgive him his sins because of it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا رُفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ بِهَا عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةً»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out gray hair, as it will be a light on the Day of Judgment. And whoever has gray hair in Islam, good deeds will be written for him because of it, and his sins will be forgiven through it, and he will be elevated in rank because of it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ وَحُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever circles the Kaaba for a week without putting one foot down and raising the other will have Allah forgive his sins, grant him a good deed, and elevate his rank."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ أُسْبُوعًا لَا يَضَعُ قَدَمًا وَلَا يَرْفَعُ أُخْرَى إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً وَهَذَا الْكَلَامُ لَا نَعْلَمُهُ يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ

عَن رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كل خطوة يخطوها أحدكم إلى الصلاة يكتب له بها حسنة ويمحى عنه بها خطيئة ويرفع له بها درجة

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Increase in prostration, for indeed there is no servant who prostrates to Allah in prostration except that Allah raises him in rank with it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ السُّجُودِ فَإِنَّهُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً»

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ تَشُوكُهُ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا حَطَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Whoever performs Tawaf around the Kaaba seven times, counting it, for him will be written a good deed for every step he takes, and a bad deed will be erased from him, and his rank will be elevated, and he will be granted a reward equal to freeing a slave."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا يُحْصِيهِ كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَةٌ وَرُفِعَتْ لَهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةٌ وَكَانَ لَهُ عِدْلُ رَقَبَةٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out gray hair, for surely one of you does not become gray-haired in Islam, except that Allah raises him in rank with it and writes for him a good deed by it, and erases by it a bad deed."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَنْزِعُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَشِيبُ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَمَحَا عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةً

"استكثروا مِنَ السُّجود، فإِنَّهُ ما مِن عبدٍ يَسْجُدُ لله سجدةً إِلَّا رفعه اللهُ تعالى بها درجةً".

"اعْلَمْ أَنَّكَ لا تسجُدُ لله سَجْدَةً إلا رفعَ الله لَكَ بها درجة، أو كتب لكَ بها حَسَنةً، أو حطَّ عنكَ بها خطيئة".

"أكثر بعدى من السجود؛ فَإنَّهُ ما أحد يسجدُ لله سجدةً إلا رفعه الله بها درجة في الجنة وحَطَّ عنه بها خَطِيئةَ ".

"كُلُّ خُطوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا إِلَى الصَّلاةِ كتَبَ الله لَهُ حَسَنَةً، وَيَمْحُو عَنْهُ بِهَا سيِّئَةً".

"مَا مِنْ رَجُل يَتَوَضَّأ فَيُحْسِنُ الوُضُوءَ، ثُم يَأتِي مَسْجِدًا مِنَ المَسَاجِدِ، فَيَخْطُو خُطوَةً إِلا رُفِعَ بِها دَرَجَةً وحُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَة، أَوْ كُتِب لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يسْجُدُ لله سَجْدةً إِلا كَتَبَ اللهُ لهُ بها حسَنَةً وَحطَّ عنْهُ بها خَطِيئةً".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ للهِ سجْدَةً إِلا رَفَعَهُ الله بِها درجةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بهَا خَطِيئَةً".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ للهِ سَجْدةً، إِلا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرجةً، وَحطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئةً، وَكَتَب لهُ بِهَا حسَنَةً".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يسْجُدُ للهِ سجْدَةً، إِلا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً ومحا عَنْهُ بِها سَيِّئَةً، وَرَفَع لَهُ بِها درَجَةً، فَاسْتَكثِرُوا مِنَ السُّجُودِ".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يسْجُدُ للهِ سَجْدَةً، أَوْ يَرْكعُ إِليهِ رَكْعَةً إلَّا حَطَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَرَفعَ لَهُ بِها دَرَجَةً".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ للهِ سجْدةً إِلا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بهَا درجةً، وَكتبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسنَةً".

"مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكةً فَما فَوقَها إِلا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بِها دَرَجَةٌ، وَمُحيت عَنْه بها خَطيئَةٌ".

"مَنْ رَكَعَ رَكعَةً أَوْ سَجَدَ سَجدَةً رَفَعهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً".

"مَنْ سَجَدَ لله سَجْدَةً كَتَبَ الله لَهُ بِها حَسَنَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً".

"مَنْ سَجَدَ لله سَجْدَةً رَفَعَهُ الله بِهَا دَرَجَةً وحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطيَئةً".

"مَن طَافَ بِهَذَا الْبَيتِ أُسْبُوعًا فَأَحْصَاهُ، كَانَ كَعِتْقِ رَقَبَة لا يَضَعُ قَدَمًا، وَلا يَرْفَعُ أُخْرَى، إِلَّا حَطَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ بهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً".

"مَنْ طَافَ بِالْبَيتِ أُسْبُوعًا لا يَضَعُ قَدَمًا وَلا يَرْفَعُ أُخْرَى، إِلا حَطَّ اللهُ تَعَالى عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً، وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً".

"لَا تَنْتفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورٌ يَوْمَ ألقِيَامَة، وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِى الإِسْلَامِ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ، وَحُطَّ عَنهُ بِهَا خَطيْئَةٌ، وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بهَا دَرَجةٌ".

"لا يَرْفَعُ الْحَاجُّ قَدَمًا، وَلا يَضَعُ أُخْرَى، إِلا حُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ ورُفِعَ لَهُ دَرَجَة وَكُتِبَ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ".

"لا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمنَ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً".
