Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If anyone of you is invited to a wedding banquet, he must go for it (accept the invitation)."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا۔»

If any one of you is invited to a meal when he is fasting, he should say:" I am fasting."

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَالَ زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

When any one of you is invited to a feast, he should attend it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

When any one of you is invited to a feast, he should accept. 'Ubaidallah took this feast to be a wedding feast.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيُجِبْ قَالَ خَالِدٌ فَإِذَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يُنَزِّلُهُ عَلَى الْعُرْسِ

When any one of you is invited to a wedding feast, he should accept that.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةِ عُرْسٍ فَلْيُجِبْ

When any one of you is invited to a feast, he should accept it. He may eat if he likes, or he may abandon (eating) if he likes. Ibn Mathanni did not make mention of the word" feast".

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ طَعِمَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى إِلَى طَعَامٍ

If any one of you is invited, he should accept (the invitation). In case he is fasting, he should pray (in order to bless the inmates of the house), and if he is not fasting he should eat.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَطْعَمْ

When one of you receives an invitation (for a meal), he should accept it. If he isn to fasting, he should eat, and if he is fasten, he should pray. Hisham said: The word salat means to pray (for him to Allah). Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been narrated by Hafs b. Ghiyath from Hisham.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَطْعَمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ قَالَ هِشَامٌ وَالصَّلاَةُ الدُّعَاءُ

When one of you is invited (to a meal), and he is fasting, he should say that he is fasting.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

when one of you is invited for a wedding feast, he must attend it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

If he is not fasting, he should eat, and if he is fasting, he should leave it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمَعْنَاهُ زَادَ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَطْعَمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيَدْعُ

if one of you invites his brother, he should accept(the invitation), whether it is a wedding feast or something of that nature.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُجِبْ عُرْسًا كَانَ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ

when one of you is invited to a meal, he must accept. If he wishes he may eat, but if he wishes(to leave), he may leave.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ دُعِيَ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ طَعِمَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ

The Prophet said: "When one of you is invited to eat then let him respond, if he is fasting then let him pray." Meaning: supplicate.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ يَعْنِي الدُّعَاءَ

The Prophet said: "When one of you is invited (to a meal) and he is fasting, then let him said: 'Indeed I am fasting.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

“If anyone of you is invited to eat when he is fasting, let him say: ‘I am fasting.’”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

“Whoever is invited to eat when he is fasting, let him accept the invitation; and if he wants to let him eat, and if he wants let him not eat.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ دُعِيَ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ طَعِمَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ

that the Messenger of Allah said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةِ عُرْسٍ فَلْيُجِبْ

When one of you is invited (to a meal), and he is fasting, he should say that he is fasting. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2461)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you is invited to a feast, let him accept the invitation." Abu Muhammad said, "He should accept the invitation, but it is not obligatory for him to eat."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةٍ فَلْيُجِبْ» قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد «يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يُجِيبَ وَلَيْسَ الْأَكْلُ عَلَيْهِ بِوَاجِبٍ»

Why are you coming late to the prayer? The man said: As soon as I heard the call, I did wudoo’. He said: Did you not also hear that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿBefore one of you goes to Jumu'ah, let him do ghusl?ʿ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا رَاحَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ ؟

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , when one of you is invited to a feast, then he should respond to it.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذَا نُودِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةٍ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

that the Messenger of Allah said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1914)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةِ عُرْسٍ فَلْيُجِبْ

that the Messenger of Allah said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1914)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةٍ فَلْيُجِبْ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said, "When one of you is invited to an invitation, let him respond and attend it." He also said, "Ibn Umar used to respond to invitations while fasting and while having broken his fast."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الدَّعْوَةِ فَلْيُجِبْ أَوْ قَالَ فَلْيَأْتِهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُجِيبُ صَائِمًا وَمُفْطِرًا

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "When one of you invites his brother, let him respond, whether it is for a wedding or something similar."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُجِبْهُ عُرْسًا كَانَ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ

“If anyone of you is invited to eat when he is fasting, let him say: ‘I am fasting.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1750)

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

[AI] I heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying, "Whoever is invited, they should accept the invitation. If they are fasting, they should break their fast and if they are not fasting, they should eat and pray for the host."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ دُعِيَفَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا أَكَلَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ وَلْيَدْعُ لَهُمْ

The Prophet said: "When one of you is invited to eat then let him respond, if he is fasting then let him pray." Meaning: supplicate. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 780)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ يَعْنِي الدُّعَاءَ

If any one of you is invited, he should accept (the invitation). In case he is fasting, he should pray (in order to bless the inmates of the house), and if he is not fasting he should eat. (Using translation from Muslim 1431)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيَصِلْ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَطْعَمْ

when one of you is invited to a meal, he must accept. If he wishes he may eat, but if he wishes(to leave), he may leave. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3740)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ طَعِمَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you come to jumua, do ghusl."

Malik said, "It is not enough for someone to do a ghusl on the day of jumua and intend by it the ghusl for jumua unless he does the ghusl and then sets off. That is because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in the hadith related by Ibn Umar, 'When you come to jumua, do ghusl .' "

Malik said, "If someone does ghusl on the day of jumua and intends by it the ghusl of the day of jumua and then sets out, whether early or late, and does something which breaks his wudu, he only has to do wudu and his ghusl remains valid for him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ۔

قالَ يَحْيى: قالَ مالِكٌ: مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ، أوَّلَ نَهارِهِ، وهُوَ يُرِيدُ بِذلِكَ غُسْلَ الجُمُعَةِ، فَإنَّ ذلِكَ الغُسْلَ لاَ يَجْزِي عَنْهُ، حَتّى يَغْتَسِلَ لِرَواحِهِ. وذلِكَ أنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قالَ، فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، إذا جاءَ أحَدُكُمُ الجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ.

قالَ مالِكٌ: ومَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ، مُعَجِّلًا أوْ مُؤَخِّرًا. وهُوَ يَنْوِي بِذلِكَ غُسْلَ الجُمُعَةِ. فَأصابَهُ ما يَنْقُضُ وُضُوءَهُ. فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ إلاَّ الوُضُوءُ. وغُسْلُهُ ذلِكَ مُجْزِئٌ عَنْهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you are invited to a wedding feast, you must go to it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى وَلِيمَةٍ فَلْيَأْتِهَا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Delay in payment by a rich man is injustice, but when one of you is referred for payment to a wealthy man, let him be referred."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ وَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيءٍ فَلْيَتْبَعْ

when one of you is invited for a wedding feast, he must attend it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3736)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When someone invites you, respond to the invitation. If you wish, you may attend, and if you wish, you may decline."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ أَكَلَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ»

If any one of you is invited, he should accept (the invitation). In case he is fasting, he should pray (in order to bless the inmates of the house), and if he is not fasting he should eat. (Using translation from Muslim 1431)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَطْعَمْ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ إذا دعا أحدكم فلا يقول إن شئت وَلكن ليعزم

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا دعي أحدكم فليجب فإن كان صائما فليصل

[AI] If anyone of you is offered food or drink while fasting, they should say, "I am fasting."

إِذَا عُرِضَ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ طَعَامٌ أَوْ شَرَابٌ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "If one of you is invited to a meal, let him accept, and if he is fasting, let him pray for blessings."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيَدْعُ بِالْبَرَكَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When any of you is invited to a meal, let him respond. If he was fasting, let him pray before eating, and if he was not fasting, let him eat." Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said, "He ﷺ would pray with us and then eat, and he would make dua (supplication) for the fasting person and exert himself."

Note: The passage is a narration about the and etiquettes of accepting an invitation to a meal and the recommended actions for a fasting person and a non-fasting person.

"إِذا جُهِلَ عَلى أحدِكُمْ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فليَقُلْ: أعوذُ باللهِ مِنْكَ، إِنِّي صائِمٌ" .

that the Messenger of Allah said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1914)

"إِذا دُعِيَ أحدُكُمْ إلى وليمةِ عُرْسٍ فليُجبْ" .

"إِذَا دُعِيَ أحدُكُمْ إلى طعامِ وهو صائِمُ فليقلْ إني صَائمُ" .
