4.31 [Machine] The translation of the heading is: "Whoever is invited to eat while fasting should say: I am fasting.

٤۔٣١ بَابُ مَنْ دُعِيَ إِلَى الطَّعَامِ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

darimi:1778 – Ḥajjāj b. Minhāl > Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah > Abū al-Zinād > al-Aʿraj > Abū Hurayrah

When one of you is invited (to a meal), and he is fasting, he should say that he is fasting. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2461)  

الدارمي:١٧٧٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى طَعَامٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ
