4. Book of Fasting
٤۔ كِتَابُ الصَّوْمِ
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, that is like fasting for a lifetime.”
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتَّةً مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَذَلِكَ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ».
Fasting Ramadan and six days after it completes a full year
that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Fasting a month is equal to ten months (30 days x 10 rewards = 300 days of reward), and fasting six days after it is equal to two months (6 days x 10 rewards = 60 days of rewards); that is a complete year (300 + 60 = 360 days of reward),” meaning the month of Ramadan and six days after it.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «صِيَامُ شَهْرٍ بِعَشَرَةِ أَشْهُرٍ وَسِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ بَعْدَهُنَّ بِشَهْرَيْنِ فَذَلِكَ تَمَامُ سَنَةٍ» يَعْنِي شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ وَسِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ بَعْدَهُ
