"I heard Nawfal bin Mu'awiyah say: 'There is a prayer which if a person misses it, it is as of he has been robbed of his family and his wealth.'" Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is 'Asr prayer.'"  

النسائي:٤٨٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَوْفَلَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَقُولُ صَلاَةٌ مَنْ فَاتَتْهُ فَكَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ هِيَ صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ

Messenger of Allah said: "Salatul-Wusta is the Asr prayer."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

[Machine] I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was praying on a mat.  

أحمد:١١٥٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حَصِيرٍ  

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ صَلَاةَ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْغَدَاةِ

ibnhibban:1746 – Aḥmad b. Yaḥyá b. Zuhayr > al-Jarrāḥ b. Makhlad > ʿAmr b. ʿĀṣim > Hammām > Qatādah > Muwarriq > Abū al-Aḥwaṣ > ʿAbdullāh
