Messenger of Allah said: "Salatul-Wusta is the Asr prayer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلاَةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ

"The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: 'The middle Salat is Salat Al-'Asr.'"

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ صَلاَةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ

"I heard Nawfal bin Mu'awiyah say: 'There is a prayer which if a person misses it, it is as of he has been robbed of his family and his wealth.'" Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is 'Asr prayer.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ هِيَ صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ

We thought that it was Fajr, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿIt is Asr prayer” - meaning the middle prayer.

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هِيَ صَلاةُالْعَصْرِ يَعْنِي صَلاةَ الْوُسْطَى

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: The prayer of the sitting person is half of the prayer of the standing person."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ نِصْفُ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "The prayer of the person sitting is half of the prayer of the person standing."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is Al-Asr (the afternoon prayer)." Ibn Ja'far said, when asked about the Salah Al-Wustha (the middle prayer).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ هِيَ الْعَصْرُ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ سُئِلَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Guard the prayers" [2:238]. He ﷺ also described the prayer as "the middle prayer" [2:238]. And he named it for us, that it is the Asr prayer.

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ} [البقرة 238] قَالَ عَفَّانُ الصَّلَاةِ {وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى} [البقرة 238] وَسَمَّاهَا لَنَا أَنَّهَا هِيَ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ

"The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: 'The middle Salat is Salat Al-'Asr.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2983)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ

This tradition has also been transmitted by Sa'd (b. Abi Waqqas) from the Prophet ﷺ in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1470)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

"The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: 'The middle Salat is Salat Al-'Asr.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2983)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pray the prayer at its prescribed time."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The prayer of the one sitting is half the prayer of the one standing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةُ الْجَالِسِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The prayer of the sitting person is half the prayer of the standing person."

(Note: This is a translation of a Hadith, a saying of Prophet Muhammad, and the phrase "ﷺ " is used to show respect for him.)

Yahya related to me from Malik from Da'ud ibn al-Husayn that Ibn Yarbu al-Makhzumi said, "I heard Zayd ibn Thabit say, 'The middle prayer is the prayer of dhuhr.' "

يَقُولُ الصَّلاَةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلاَةُ الظُّهْرِ

Messenger of Allah said: "Salatul-Wusta is the Asr prayer." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 181)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ

قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُحَافِظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ كُلِّهِنَّ وَأَمَرَنَا بِالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقال إِنَّهَا صَلاةُ الْعَصْرِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Prayer while sitting is equivalent to half of the prayer while standing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى مِثْلِ نِصْفِ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ»

Abu Huraira is reported to have said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited to observe prayer after the 'Asr prayer till the sun is set, and after the dawn till the sun rises. (Using translation from Muslim 825)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer of those who repent is accepted when the hooves of the camels are heard."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلَاةُ الْأَوَّابِينَ إِذَا رَمِضَتِ الْفِصَالُ»

[AI] "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ ordered us to be mindful of the prayers and the middle prayer, and informed us that it is the Asr prayer."

«أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُحَافِظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَأَنْبَأَنَا أَنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] About Samurah, in his saying {Preserve the prayers and the middle prayer}, he said, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "It is the Asr prayer."

عَنْ سَمُرَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى} قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هِيَ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

We thought that it was Fajr, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿIt is Asr prayer” - meaning the middle prayer. (Using translation from Aḥmad 990)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

"The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said: 'The middle Salat is Salat Al-'Asr.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2983)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to observe all the prayers, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emphasized the importance of the middle prayer, and informed us that it is the Asr prayer."

«أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُحَافِظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ كُلِّهَا وَأَوْصَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَنَبَّأَنَا أَنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to observe all of the prayers and emphasized the importance of the middle prayer, and informed us that it is the Asr prayer."

«إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُحَافِظَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ كُلِّهِنَّ وَأَوْصَى بِالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَنَبَّأَنَا أَنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the woman who affixes hair extensions and the one who has that done, and the woman who does tattoos and the one who has that done." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5251)

«لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمَوْصُولَةَ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمَوْشُومَةَ»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade praying after Asr prayer."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer of the sitting person is equivalent to half the prayer of the standing person."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ مِثْلُ نِصْفِ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ»

[AI] "From the Prophet ﷺ he said, 'There is no prayer for someone who keeps turning around.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمُلْتَفِتٍ»

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There is no prayer for someone who turns around."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمُلْتَفِتٍ»

[AI] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying 'There is no prayer after the Asr prayer.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ»

[AI] "That the Prophet, ﷺ , cursed the one who severs family ties and the one who maintains severed family ties."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُتَوَاصِلَةَ»

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ cursed the one who severs family ties and the one who joins severed family ties."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ»

[AI] "He said, 'The middle prayer is the prayer of Dhuhr.'"

أَنَّهُ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الظُّهْرِ

Messenger of Allah said: "Salatul-Wusta is the Asr prayer." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 181)

"لَا صَلاَةَ بَعْدَ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ".

"عَنْ عليٍّ قال: صَلاَةُ الْوسْطَى، صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ الَّتِى فَرَّطَ (فيهَا) سُلَيْمَانُ ".

" عَنْ الحسنِ البَصرىِّ، عن عَلِىٍّ عن النبي ﷺ قال: صلاَةُ الوُسْطى صَلاَةُ العَصْرِ".
