that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not withhold the superfluous water in order to withhold the superfluous grass."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِتَمْنَعُوا بِهِ فَضْلَ الْكَلإِ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "One should not prevent others from watering their animals with the surplus of his water in order to prevent them from benefiting by the surplus of grass."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ فَضْلُ الْكَلإِ
Excess water must not be withheld so that the growth of herbage may be hindered.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ
Do not withhold excess of water, so that you may prevent the growth of herbage.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِتَمْنَعُوا بِهِ الْكَلأَ
The excess of water should not be sold in order to enable the sate of herbage.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يُبَاعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُبَاعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Excess water should not be withheld so as to prevent (cattle) by it from grass.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ
That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not withhold surplus water so that it is prevented from the pasture."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ
“Three things cannot be denied to anyone: water, pasture and fire.”
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ ثَلاَثٌ لاَ يُمْنَعْنَ الْمَاءُ وَالْكَلأُ وَالنَّارُ
“No one of you should withhold surplus water from common pastureland.”
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَمْنَعْ أَحَدُكُمْ فَضْلَ مَاءٍ لِيَمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأَ
“Surplus water should not be withheld, and neither should surplus water from a well.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ وَلاَ يُمْنَعُ نَقْعُ الْبِئْرِ
[AI] The translation of the sentence into English is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Loyalty is for the one who emancipates.'"
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ
[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever withholds the share of water or the share of one date palm, Allah will withhold his share on the Day of Judgment."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مَنَعَ فَضْلَ مَائِهِ أَوْ فَضْلَ كَلَئِهِ مَنْعَهُ اللهُ فَضْلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever prevents the access to water in order to prevent the access to grazing for animals, Allah will prevent his access to His rewards on the Day of Resurrection."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَنَعَ فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِيَمْنَعَ بِهِ فَضْلَ الْكَلَأِ مَنَعَهُ اللهُ فَضْلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَنْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ
Malik related to me from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Excess water is not withheld in order to prevent herbage from growing."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ
Malik related to me from Abu'r-Rijal Muhammad ibn Abd ar-Rahman from his mother Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman that she informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not withhold the surplus water of a well from people."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُمْنَعُ نَقْعُ بِئْرٍ
ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُفَسِّرِ لِلَّفْظَةِ الْمُجْمَلَةِ الَّتِي ذَكَرْنَاهَا
That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not withhold surplus water so that it is prevented from the pasture." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1272)
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ»
ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ مَنْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ قَصْدَ الضَّرَرِ فِيهِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not withhold the superfluous water, for that will prevent people from grazing their cattle." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2353)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ»
ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ مَنْعِ الْمَرْءِ فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ الَّذِي لَا حَاجَةَ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited blocking or preventing the flow of water from a well.
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُمْنَعَ نَقْعُ الْبِئْرِ يَعْنِي فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ»
ذِكْرُ الْعِلَّةِ الَّتِي مِنْ أَجْلِهَا زُجِرَ عَنْ هَذَا الْفِعْلِ
[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not withhold the blessing of water, and do not withhold charity, for wealth will become worthless and families will go hungry."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ وَلَا تَمْنَعُوا الْكَلَأَ فَيَهْزُلَ الْمَالُ وَيَجُوعَ الْعِيَالُ»
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Excess water should not be withheld so as to prevent (cattle) by it from grass. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3473)
أَنَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ»
[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate the shoulder of a sheep, then he prayed without performing ablution.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَكَلَ كَتِفَ شَاةٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the price of the dog, the dowry of the prostitute, and the fee of the soothsayer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَحُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "When you hear the call to prayer, say the same as the caller."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ
[AI] We used to pray Asr, then the traveler would go to Quba, and they would come to them while the sun was still high.
كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ يَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى قُبَاءَ فَيَأْتِيهِمْ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ
[AI] "That which is missed of the Asr prayer is as if one has lost his wealth and children."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ كَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ
[AI] Abu Huraira used to pray with them, and he would say the takbeer (saying "Allahu Akbar" at the beginning of the prayer) whenever he lowered or raised his hands. And when he finished praying, he would say: "By Allah, I resemble your prayer to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." And in a narration of Yahya, when he finished praying...
أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ فَيُكَبِّرُ كُلَّمَا خَفَضَ وَرَفَعَ فَإِذَا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَشْبَهُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَفِي حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ
[AI] A person asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about praying in a single garment, so he asked, "Do you each have two garments?"
أَنَّ سَائِلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ؟
[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reciting the wording of the Hadith of Yahya ibn Yahya in Maghrib, at At-Tur.
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِالطُّورِ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and hope for reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ
[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever buys a slave, his possession belongs to the one who sold him, except if the buyer specifies conditions."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ ابْتَاعَ عَبْدًا فَمَالُهُ لِلَّذِي بَاعَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشْتَرِطَ الْمُبْتَاعُ
[AI] Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited fasting these two days: the day of your breaking the fast from your fasting, and the other day when you partake in your rituals.
إِنَّ هَذَيْنِ يَوْمَانِ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صِيَامِهِمَا يَوْمُ فِطْرِكُمْ مِنْ صِيَامِكُمْ وَالْآخَرُ يَوْمٌ تَأْكُلُونَ فِيهِ مِنْ نُسُكِكُمْ
[AI] I used to perfume the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for his ihram before he entered the state of ihram, and to shampoo his hair before he performed Tawaf around the Ka'bah.
كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لِإِحْرَامِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed a retreat in Al-Bathaa, near Dhul-Hulayfah, where he would pray. Abdullah bin Umar used to do the same.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَاخَ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ الَّتِي بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ يُصَلِّي بِهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade "al-najsh".
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ النَّجْشِ
[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ forbade the price of a dog, the dowry of a prostitute, and the earnings of a fortune-teller."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ وَحُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding or guarding, then every day, two qirats (a measurement of weight) will be deducted from his good deeds." And in another narration, it says, "a dog for guarding."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ ضَارِيًا نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَحْيَى ضَارِيَةٍ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The benefit of water should not be sold in order to sell the impurities."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُبَاعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُبَاعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ
[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The shade of the wealthy is oppression, and if any one of you is followed in matters of leadership, then let him be followed..."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ وَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيٍّ فَلْيَتْبَعْ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The abundance of water should not be prevented in order to prevent coldness."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The pouring of a well should not be prevented."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُمْنَعُ نَقْعُ بِئْرٍ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The abundance of water and the depth of the well should not be prevented, as this is the weakness of this matter."
رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ وَلَا نَقْعُ الْبِئْرِ حَارِثَةُ هَذَا ضَعِيفٌ
[AI] Umar ibn Al-Khattab narrated that he used to experience seminal emission during the night, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ advised him, "Perform ablution and wash your private parts, then sleep."
ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ نَمْ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him attend it."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْوَلِيمَةِ فَلْيَأْتِهَا
[AI] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: "There is no division or mutual cursing."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا فَرَعَةَ وَلَا عَتِيرَةَ
