[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not withhold the blessing of water, and do not withhold charity, for wealth will become worthless and families will go hungry."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ وَلَا تَمْنَعُوا الْكَلَأَ فَيَهْزُلَ الْمَالُ وَيَجُوعَ الْعِيَالُ»
Do not withhold excess of water, so that you may prevent the growth of herbage.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِتَمْنَعُوا بِهِ الْكَلأَ
Malik related to me from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Excess water is not withheld in order to prevent herbage from growing."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلأُ
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Do not withhold the favor of water, and do not withhold food leftovers, as wealth will diminish and families will suffer from hunger."
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ وَلَا تَمْنَعُوا الْكَلَأَ فَيَهْزُلَ الْمَالُ وَيَجُوعَ الْعِيَالُ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not withhold the superfluous water, for that will prevent people from grazing their cattle." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2353)
