[Machine] Sufyan Ath-Thawri asked me, "What do you have for food?" I replied, "Nothing." He then mentioned a narration that Ma'mar narrated from Az-Zuhri from Malik ibn Aws from Umar that the Prophet ﷺ used to sell the dates of Banu Nadir and preserve the provisions for his family for a year.
[Machine] Narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him: Regarding the blessings that Allah conferred upon His Messenger, Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to spend on his family the expenditure of their whole year from this money. Then, he would take what remained and make it the wealth of Allah."
