7. Medinans
[Machine] I saw the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Abdul Razzaq mentioned in his narration about placing one foot over the other in the mosque."
"Can you show me how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Wudu'? 'Abdullah bin Zaid said: "Yes. He called for (water for) Wudu' and poured some onto his hand, washing each hand twice. Then he rinsed his mouth and nose three times, then he washed his face three times, then he washed each hand twice, up to the elbow. Then he wiped his head with his hands, back and forth, starting at the front of his head and moving his hands to the nape of his neck, then bringing them back to the place he started. Then he washed his feet." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 97)
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Zaid joined the Prophet ﷺ as he went out to seek rain, and he turned his cloak inside out.
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Between my house and the pulpit there is a garden of the gardens of Paradise." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1195)
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ sought rainfall and turned his cloak.
Abd Allah b. Zaid al Mazini said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) went out to the place of prayer and made supplication or rain, and turned around his cloak when the faced the qiblah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1167)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to seek rain. He faced the direction of the Qibla, turned his cloak inside out, raised his voice in recitation, and prayed two units of prayer.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the people out (to the place of prayer) and prayed for rain. He led them in two rak'ahs of prayer in the course of which he recited from the Qur'an in a loud voice. He turned around his cloak and raised his hands, prayed for rain and faced the qiblah (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1161)
"Messenger of Allah wiped over his head with his hands, going over the front with them and the rear. He began with the front of his head until they went to the nape of his neck. Then he brought them back again to the place where he began. Then he washed his feet." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 32)
[Machine] I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ going out to seek rain. Then he turned his back to the people, faced the Kaaba, turned his cloak inside out, and started supplicating. He performed two Rakahs (units) of prayer and recited the Quran aloud.
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution one day, then he wiped his head with water other than the water of his hands.
the Prophet ﷺ performed wudu and then started saying, "This is how you do dalk (rub)."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no ablution except in what you have felt the wind or heard the sound."
[Machine] About the ablution of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he called for water and washed his hands, rinsed his mouth, sniffed water into his nostrils three times, washed his face three times, washed his hands up to the elbows twice, wiped his head, and then washed his feet. Uthman said that Malik wiped his head and then passed his hands over his feet, and said, "This is how I saw the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ perform ablution."
'Abbad b. Tamim reported from his uncle that he saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ lying in the mosque and placing his one foot upon the other. (Using translation from Muslim 2100a)
[Machine] Narrated Abdullah ibn Zaid ibn Asim: He had companionship. He was told, "Perform ablution for us, the ablution of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." He then called for a container and poured water on his hands three times, washed them, then inserted his hand and drew it out, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water in from a hollow of his hands, and he did that three times. He then washed his face and put his hand into the vessel again and rinsed his hand. Then he poured water over his head, tilting it backwards and forwards three times, and he then washed his feet up to the ankles thrice. He then told them this was how ablution was performed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
[Machine] Narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: "Indeed, Ibrahim sanctified Makkah and prayed for it, and I have sanctified Madinah as Ibrahim sanctified Makkah and I have prayed for it in its valleys and its surroundings, just as Ibrahim prayed for Makkah."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing one of his legs on top of the other.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sought rain by facing the qibla (the direction of prayer) and turning his garment around.
'Abbad b. Tamim reported from his uncle that he saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ lying in the mosque and placing his one foot upon the other. (Using translation from Muslim 2100a)
[Machine] "He (the man) complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that during his prayer, he feels that he has passed gas, so he said: It does not nullify the prayer until he finds a smell or hears a sound."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the prayer area to pray for rain. He faced the qiblah (direction of prayer), turned his robe inside out, and prayed two units of prayer. Sufyan said, "He turned his robe in such a way that the right became the left and the left became the right."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and Said Sufyan informed us that Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated from 'Amr ibn Yahya that it has been seventy-four years since that incident. Afterwards, I asked 'Amr ibn Yahya about it a little and it turned out that Yahya was older than him. Sufyan said, "I heard from him three narrations: he washed his hands twice and his face three times, and he wiped his head twice. I heard from Sufyan three times that he said, 'He washed his feet twice,' and once he wiped his head, and twice he wiped his head."
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Between my house and the pulpit there is a garden of the gardens of Paradise." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1195)
[Machine] He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his feet with water.
[Machine] "His uncle, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated that the Prophet ﷺ went out with the people to the prayer area to pray for rain for them. He stood up and supplicated, then he turned towards the qibla and spread his garment, and they were then given water to drink."
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Zaid, the companion of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), narrated: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came to us, so I brought him water to perform ablution. He washed his face three times, and his hands twice, and wiped his head with it. He started with the front part of his head and ended with the back. Then he wiped his ears and washed his feet.
he saw the Prophet performing Wudu, and that he wiped his head with water that was not left over from his hands. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 35)
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Between these houses,' meaning his own houses, 'and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and the pulpit is on a stream from the streams of Paradise.'"
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution with water from a vessel. He gargled, then inhaled water into his nostrils. Then he washed his face three times, and washed his right hand three times. Then he wiped his head with water that was not leftover from his hands, then he washed his feet until they were clean.
[Machine] He heard his uncle, who was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to seek rain, then he faced the Qibla (direction of prayer) and turned his back to the people, supplicating and adjusting his garment. Then he performed two units of prayer." Abu 'Abdul-Rahman said: "The Prophet ﷺ folded his garment until the upper garment (or unstitched portion) came over the lower one, and he declared, ‘Until the new year begins, prices will become affordable.’"
That which exists between my pulpit and my house is a garden from the gardens of Paradise. (Using translation from Muslim 1390b)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ once sought water for ablution and he had a black woolen cloak. He desired to take hold of it from its lower part and place it on top of him. However, it felt heavy on him, so he turned it upside down, with the right side on the left and the left side on the right.
A person came to him and said: Here is Ibn Hanzala who is making people swear allegiance to him. He (, Abdullah) asked: To what effect? He replied: To the effect that they will die for him. 'Abdullah said: I will never swear allegiance to this effect after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Muslim 1861)
The Prophet (my peace be upon him) washed the limbs in ablution twice. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 136)
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Zaid ibn Asim was one of his companions. Abdullah ibn Zaid was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and he witnessed the Battle of Uhud with him. He said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , when he prayed for rain for us. He prolonged his supplication and asked for much. Then he turned towards the qibla and turned his cloak inside out, with the back facing the front, and the people turned with him."
[Machine] I heard Abdullah ibn Zaid al-Mazini say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the prayer area and prayed for rain. He turned his robe around when he faced the direction of the Qibla. Isaac mentioned this in his narration and he started with prayer before giving the sermon. Then he faced the Qibla and made a supplication."
[Machine] He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution. He started by rinsing his mouth and nose, then washed his face three times. He washed his right hand three times, then his left hand three times. He wiped his head with water, not using the extra water from his hand, and washed his feet until they were clean.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out, faced the direction of the Qibla, supplicated, adjusted his garment, and then performed two units of prayer, reciting aloud in them.
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution using a jug and mentioned the meaning of a good hadith, except that he said, "And he wiped his head with dusted water."
When Allah gave to His Apostle the war booty on the day of Hunain, he distributed that booty amongst those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to Islam), but did not give anything to the Ansar. So they seemed to have felt angry and sad as they did not get the same as other people had got. The Prophet ﷺ then delivered a sermon before them, saying, "O, the assembly of Ansar! Didn't I find you astray, and then Allah guided you on the Right Path through me? You were divided into groups, and Allah brought you together through me; you were poor and Allah made you rich through me." Whatever the Prophet ﷺ said , they (i.e. the Ansar) said, "Allah and his Apostle have more favours to do." The Prophet ﷺ said, "What stops you from answering the Messenger of Allah?" But whatever he said to them, they replied, "Allah and His Apostle have more favours to do." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "If you wish you could say: 'You came to us in such-and-such state (at Medina).' Wouldn't you be willing to see the people go away with sheep and camels while you go with the Prophet ﷺ to your homes? But for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar, and if the people took their way through a valley or mountain pass, I would select the valley or mountain pass of the Ansar. The Ansar are Shiar (i.e. those clothes which are in direct contact with the body and worn inside the other garments), and the people are Dithar (i.e. those clothes which are not in direct contact with the body and are worn over other garments). No doubt, you will see other people favoured over you, so you should be patient till you meet me at the Tank (of Kauthar). (Using translation from Bukhārī 4330)

[Machine] "When it was the time of the caliphate, a man came to him and said, 'This is the son of Hanthala.' And A'ffan once said, 'This is the son of Hanthala who pledges allegiance to the people.' He asked him, 'What do you pledge them on?' He said, 'On death.' He said, 'I do not pledge allegiance to anyone after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on this matter.'"

The Messenger of Allah rinsed his mouth and sniffed water up into his nostrils from one scoop of water. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 403)

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh)prayed for rain wearing a black robe with ornamented border. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh)wanted to reverse it from bottom to top by holding the bottom. But when it was too heavy he turned it round on his shoulders. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1164)
