"While I was praying, I said: Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim "In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Beneficent." My father heard me and said: "O my son this is a newly invented matter, beware of the newly-invented.'" He (Ibn Abdullah) said: "I have not seen any one of the Companions of Messenger of Allah who hated a newly invented matter in Islam more than him. And he said: 'Ihave performed Salat with the Prophet, and with Abu Bakr, and Umar, and with Uthman. I did not hear any one of them saying it. So do not say it. When you are performing Salat say: Al-Hamdu lilahi Rabbil-Alamin "All praise is due to Allah the Lord of all that exists.'" (Using translation from Tirmidhī 244)

"Were it not that dogs form one of the communities (or nations - of creatures), I would have commanded that they be killed. But kill those that are all black. Any people who keep a dog, except for dogs used for farming, hunting or herding livestock, one Qirat will be deducted from their reward each day." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4280)

[Machine] I heard him recite, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, on the day of the conquest. If it were not for people gathering around me, I would have mentioned to you the recitation of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "He recited Surah Al-Fath." He said, "If it were not for people gathering around me, I would have mentioned to you what 'Abdullah, meaning Ibn Mughaffal, said: How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite? And he said, "With a melodious and rhythmic voice." He then returned to it.

The Messenger of Allaah (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) ordered the killing of the dogs, and then said: Why are they (people) after them (dogs)? and then granted permission (to keep) for hunting and for (the security) of the herd, and said : When the dog licks the utensil wash it seven times, and rub it with earth the eighth time. Abu Dawud said : Ibn Mughaffal narrated in a similar way. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 74)

Abdullah heard his son praying to Allah: O Allah, I ask Thee a white palace on the right of Paradise when I enter it. He said: O my son, ask Allah for Paradise and seek refuge in Him from Hell-Fire, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: In this community there will be some people who will exceed the limits in purification as well as in supplication. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 96)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever follows a funeral procession until the prayer is performed upon it, will receive one Qirat, and whoever waits until the deceased is buried, will receive two Qirats."
"The Prophet said: 'Perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places, for they were created from the devils." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 769)
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Hudaybiyah, at the root of the tree that Allah Almighty mentioned in the Quran. The branches of that tree used to fall on the Prophet's ﷺ back, Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Suheil ibn Amr. The Prophet ﷺ then said to Ali, "Write, 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.'" So Suheil ibn Amr took his hand and said, "We do not know or recognize the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Write in our context what we know." He then said, "Write, 'In your name, O Allah.' This is what Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , approves for us, the people of Makkah." So Suheil took his hand and said, "We have wronged you, if you are truly his Messenger. Write in our context what we know." Ali said, "Write, 'This is what Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Muttalib, the Messenger of Allah, approves for us.'" So they wrote it. While we were in this state, thirty young men armed with weapons came out and approached us in a threatening manner. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ invoked Allah's curse upon them, and Allah had taken away their sight. We then captured them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked them, "Have you come as part of a treaty or did anyone grant you safety?" They replied, "No." He then let them go and Allah revealed the verse, "And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within [the area of] Makkah after He caused you to overcome them. And ever is Allah of what you do, Seeing." [Quran 48:24] Abu Abdur Rahman said, Hammad ibn Salamah reported from Thabit, who reported from Anas, and Husayn ibn Waqid reported from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal. This is the correct narration, if Allah wills.

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "(Fear) Allah! (Fear) Allah regarding my Companions! Do not make them objects of insults after me. Whoever loves them, it is out of love of me that he loves them. And whoever hates them, it is out of hatred for me that he hates them. And whoever harms them, he has harmed me, and whoever harms me, he has offended Allah, and whoever offends Allah, [then] he shall soon be punished." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3862)

[Machine] A man met a woman who was practicing immorality during the pre-Islamic era. He began to flirt with her until he extended his hand towards her. The woman said, "Stop! In fact, Allah has eliminated polytheism and announced the forgiveness of pre-Islamic sins, and Islam has come to us." The man turned away and his face hit the wall, causing it to bleed. Then he went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of what happened. The Prophet ﷺ said, "You are a servant who Allah wants good for. When Allah wants good for a servant, He hastens the punishment for his sins, and when He wants harm for a servant, He holds him accountable for his sins until the Day of Judgment, as if he was a stray camel."

[Machine] Inform me about the prohibition of this drink on us, he said it is alcohol. He said it is in the Quran. I said, shall I not inform you of what I heard from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He began with the name or the message. He said, it is my law, should I suffice with it? He said, he forbade the use of intoxicants, khamr, and hanitam, naqir, and muqayyar. I asked, what is hanitam? He said, green and white. I asked, what is muqayyar? He said, anything that is stained with filth from urine or other than it. I then went to the market and bought a flask, and it was hanging in my house.
