[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ after his return from the Battle of Badr, with the son of Faras by the name of Al-Qarha. I said, "O Muhammad, I have brought you the son of Al-Qarha for you to take as your adopted son." He replied, "I have no need for him." So, I said, "If you wish, I will ransom you with the finest armor from the spoils of Badr." He said, "I have no need for it." Then he said, "O Dhu Al-Jushan, will you not embrace Islam and be among the first followers of this faith?" I replied, "No." He asked, "Why not?" I said, "I have seen your people's enthusiasm for you." He asked, "So, how did you learn about their valor in the Battle of Badr?" I said, "I have heard about it." He said, "We guide you." I replied, "If you were to conquer the Kaaba and live in it." He said, "Perhaps, if you live long enough, you will witness that." Then he said to Bilal, "Take some dates from the man's bag and give it to him." As I was leaving, he said, "Verily, he is one of the finest knights of Banu Amir." I said, "May my mother lose me if I were to embrace Islam today, but I would surely kill him if I had him in my power."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ received a visit from Dhul-Jawshan, who gifted him a horse. At that time, Dhul-Jawshan was still a polytheist. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ refused to accept the gift and asked if Dhul-Jawshan would sell him the horse, offering him a choice of Badr armor in return. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked if Dhul-Jawshan would be the first to enter Islam. Dhul-Jawshan replied no, explaining that he had seen his people reject, expel, and fight against the Prophet ﷺ . The Prophet ﷺ then asked him what was preventing him from accepting Islam, to which Dhul-Jawshan provided his reasons. The Prophet ﷺ told Dhul-Jawshan that if he stayed and witnessed the events that would unfold, he would believe in him and follow him. However, if his people turned against the Prophet ﷺ , he would not. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Dhul-Jawshan, "O Dhul-Jawshan, perhaps if you remain alive, you will remember this conversation."

[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ after he had finished from the Battle of Badr, at the house of Ibn Faras called Al-Qarha. I said, "O Muhammad, mention the hadith."
