It was narrated from Ja'far bin 'Amr bin Umayyah Ad-Damri that his father saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing Wudu' and wiping over his Khuffs. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 119)
«أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ»

Hammam bin Al-Harith said, "I saw Jarir bin ʿAbdullah urinating. Then he performed ablution and passed his (wet) hands over his Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather), stood up and prayed. He was asked about it. He replied that he had seen the Prophet ﷺ doing the same." They approved of this narration as Jarir was one of those who embraced Islam very late.
رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى فَسُئِلَ فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا
I helped the Prophet ﷺ in performing ablution and he passed his wet hands over his Khuffs and prayed.
وَضَّأْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَصَلَّى
Jarir urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over the socks. It was said to him: Do you do like this? He said: Yes, I saw that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urinated, then performed ablution and then wiped over his shoes. A'mash said: Ibrahim had observed that this hadith was a surprise for them (the people) because Jarir had embraced Islam after the revelation of Surat al-Ma'ida.
بَالَ جَرِيرٌ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقِيلَ تَفْعَلُ هَذَا فَقَالَ نَعَمْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ قَالَ الأَعْمَشُ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ كَانَ يُعْجِبُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لأَنَّ إِسْلاَمَ جَرِيرٍ كَانَ بَعْدَ نُزُولِ الْمَائِدَةِ
"I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over the Khuff."
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
"Are you wiping (over you Khuffs)?" He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping (over his Khuffs)." The companions of 'Abdullah liked what Jarir said, because Jarir became Muslim shortly before the Prophet ﷺ died.
أَنَّهُ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَتَمْسَحُ فَقَالَ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ وَكَانَ أَصْحَابُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُعْجِبُهُمْ قَوْلُ جَرِيرٍ وَكَانَ إِسْلاَمُ جَرِيرٍ قَبْلَ مَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِيَسِيرٍ

أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
It was narrated from Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the Khuffs.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
"I saw Jarir bin 'Abdullah performing Wudu and he wiped over his Khuff. I asked him about that. He replied, 'I saw 'I saw Messenger of Allah performing Wudu and he wiped over his Khuff.' So I said to him, before Surah AI-Ma'idah (was revealed) or after AI-Ma'idah?' So he replied, 'I did not acceot Islam until after Al-Ma'idah.'"
رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَقَبْلَ الْمَائِدَةِ أَمْ بَعْدَ الْمَائِدَةِ فَقَالَ مَا أَسْلَمْتُ إِلاَّ بَعْدَ الْمَائِدَةِ
‘Ali told me to wipe over the khuff (leather slippers).
أَنْ أَمْسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his leather slippers (when doing wudoo’).
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
The Messenger of Allah wiped over the top and the bottom of the leather socks. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 550)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ أَسْفَلَ الْخُفِّ وَأَعْلَاهُ
The Messenger of Allah performed ablution and wiped over his socks and his sandals. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 559)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ
[Machine] He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his feet with water.
أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَمْسَحُ بِالْمَاءِ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
[Machine] Yes, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wearing sandals, then he performed ablution and wiped over his socks.
نَعَمْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ
The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah). (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 561)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ
"I saw the Messenger of Allah wiping over his leather socks and turban." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 562)

«أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ وَالْخُفَّيْنِ»

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْعِمَامَةِ»

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ»

[Machine] "He saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over the turban and the socks."
«أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ وَالْمُوقَيْنِ»

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks, then he prayed and placed me on his right side.
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَصَلَّى وَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks.

[Machine] The prophet ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
[Machine] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution, then he wiped over his socks."
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ» بَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ
[Machine] "I was with the messenger of Allah ﷺ during a journey, so he performed ablution and wiped over his socks."
«كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ» فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over the socks."
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ» تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks.
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ» تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over his socks."
«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ» تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wipe over the tops of the socks.
«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَى ظُهُورِ الْخُفَّيْنِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution and wiped over the socks.
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ»
"Are you wiping (over you Khuffs)?" He said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping (over his Khuffs)." The companions of 'Abdullah liked what Jarir said, because Jarir became Muslim shortly before the Prophet ﷺ died.[1] [1]In the narration recorded by At-Tirmidhi Nos. 93,94) this comment is attributed to Ibrahim, one of the narrators. [Machine] Bala Jarir then performed ablution and wiped over his socks. He was asked, "Why are you doing this even though you have already reached maturity?" He replied, "Yes, I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do the same, he performed ablution and wiped over his socks." Ibrahim said, "This narration amazed them because the Islam of Jarir came after the revelation of the verse of wiping over the socks."
