A man asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) whether he should perform ablution after (eating) mutton. He (the Messenger of Allah) said: Perform ablution it you so desire, and if you do not wish, do not perform it. He (again) asked: Should I perform ablution (after eating) camel's flesh? He said: Yes, perform ablution (after eating) camel's flesh. He (again) said: May I say prayer in the sheepfolds? He (the Messenger of Allah) said: Yes. He (the narrator) again said: May I say prayer where camels lie down? He (the Holy Prophet) said: No.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلاَ تَوَضَّأْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ قَالَ لاَ

Messenger of Allah said: "Perform Salat in sheep pens but do not perform Salat in the camels' resting area."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ

"The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton."

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ وَلاَ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Perform ablution after (eating) camel meat, but do not perform ablution after (eating) mutton. Perform ablution after (drinking) camel's milk, but do not perform ablution after (drinking) sheep's milk. Perform prayer in the sheep pens but not do in the camels' Ma'atin.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ وَلاَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الإِبِلِ وَلاَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الْغَنَمِ وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الإِبِلِ

The Messenger of Allah said: "If you cannot find anywhere (for prayer) except sheep's resting-places and camels' resting-places, then perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا إِلاَّ مَرَابِضَ الْغَنَمِ وَأَعْطَانَ الإِبِلِ فَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ

"The Prophet said: 'Perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places, for they were created from the devils."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ

"My father told me, from his father that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places, and perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُصَلَّى فِي أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ وَيُصَلَّى فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ

The Messenger of Allah said: "If you cannot find anywhere (for prayer) except sheep's resting-places and camels' resting-places, then perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 768)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا إِلَّا مَرَابِضَ الْغَنَمِ وَأَعْطَانَ الْإِبِلِ فَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Pray in the sheepfolds and do not pray in the camel resting places."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الْإِبِلِ

"My father told me, from his father that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places, and perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 770)

نَهَانَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from praying in the watering places of camels and allowed us to pray in the grazing areas for sheep, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from Mut'ah (temporary marriage).

أَنَّهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ وَرَخَّصَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ وَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺعَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ

"My father told me, from his father that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places, and perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 770)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُصَلَّى فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ وَرَخَّصَ أَنْ يُصَلَّى فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] An Arab Bedouin presented himself to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on a journey. He said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ , the time for prayer has come and we are in the desert and do not have any water. Should we offer prayer on our camels?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "No." The man asked, "May we perform ablution from the meat of our camels?" He answered, "Yes." The man then asked, "May we pray in the grazing places of sheep?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Yes." Finally, the man asked, "Can we perform ablution from the meat of our sheep?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No."

عَرَضَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسِيرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تُدْرِكُنَا الصَّلَاةُ وَنَحْنُ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ أَفَنُصَلِّي فِيهَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا قَالَأَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

"The Prophet said: 'Perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places, for they were created from the devils." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 769)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ

[AI] He said: Pray in the sheepfolds and do not pray in the resting places of the camels or the blessed places of the camels.

أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ أَوْ مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ

[AI] that the Prophet ﷺ was asked, "Should we pray in camel pens?" He said, "No." It was said, "Should we pray in sheepfolds?" He said, "Yes." It was said, "Should we perform ablution after eating camel meat?" He said, "Yes." It was said, "Should we perform ablution after eating sheep meat?" He said, "No." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abdullah ibn Abdullah was from Rayy, and he was the judge of Rayy, and his grandmother was a freedwoman of Ali, or a slave girl. Abdullah said: My father said, and Adam and Said ibn Masruq narrated it from him, and he was trustworthy.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ: أَنُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا». قَالَ: أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ». قَالَ: أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ». قَالَ: أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا». قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَازِيُّ، وَكَانَ قَاضِيَ الرَّيِّ، وَكَانَتْ جَدَّتُهُ مَوْلَاةً لِعَلِيٍّ أَوْ جَارِيَةً، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: قَالَ أَبِي، وَرَوَاهُ عَنْهُ آدَمُ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً.

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Perform ablution from the meat of the camel and do not perform ablution from the meat of the sheep. Pray in the enclosures of the sheep and do not pray in the sanctified areas of the camels."

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَوَضَّئُوامِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If the prayer catches up with you while you are in the middle of giving a gift of camels, do not pray; but if it catches up with you while you are in the grazing area of the sheep, then pray if you wish.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا يَعْنِي أَدْرَكَتْكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ فَلَا تُصَلِّ وَإِذَاأَدْرَكَتْكَ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ فَصَلِّ إِنْ شِئْتَ

[AI] A man asked Prophet Muhammad, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of sheep?" He replied, "No." The man asked, "Can I pray in the sheep's pens?" The Prophet said, "Yes." The man asked, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of camels?" The Prophet said, "Yes." The man asked, "Can I pray in the places where camels urinate?" The Prophet replied, "No."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Should I perform ablution with the meat of a sheep?" He said, "If you wish, you may do so, and if you wish, you may not do so." He then asked, "Should I perform ablution with the meat of a camel?" He replied, "Yes." The man then paused and returned and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, can I pray in the grazing area of sheep?" He said, "Yes." He then asked, "Can I pray in the blessed area of camels?" He replied, "No."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَعَلْتَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَقَفَّى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَاءَةِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about performing ablution after eating the flesh of the camel. He replied: Perform ablution, after eating it. He was asked about performing ablution after eating meat. He replied: Do not perform ablution after eating it. He was asked about saying prayer in places where the camels lie down. He replied: Do not offer prayer in places where the camels lie down. These are the places of Satan. He was asked about saying prayer in the sheepfolds. He replied: You may offer prayer in such places; these are the places of blessing. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 184)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ لَا تُصَلِّ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ فَقَالَ صَلِّ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ يُتَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ تَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَا تَوَضَّأْ

"The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 495)

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي دِمَنِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّيَ فِي عَطَنِ الْإِبِلِ

[AI] I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ , and they asked him, "Do you perform ablution from the meat of sheep?" He said, "If you wish, then perform ablution, and if you wish, then do not perform ablution." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, do you perform ablution from the meat of camels?" He said, "Yes, perform ablution." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, shall we pray in the sheepfolds?" He said, "Yes." They asked, "Shall we pray in the blessed places of camels?" He said, "No."

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ فَقَالَ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَتَوَضَّئُوا وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ لَا تَتَوَضَّئُوا فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ تَوَضَّئُوا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالُوا نُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , a man came to him and asked, "Can I perform ablution using sheep's meat?" The Prophet replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I pray in its place?" The Prophet said, "Yes, if you wish." The man further inquired, "Can I perform ablution using camel's meat?" The Prophet replied, "Yes." The man then asked, "Can I pray in its place?" The Prophet replied, "No."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَالَ أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of a sheep?" He replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I pray in the grazing area of the sheep?" He answered, "Yes." The man further asked, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of a camel?" He replied, "Yes." The man then asked, "Can I pray in the place where it was slaughtered?" He replied, "No."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to perform ablution using the meat of camels and not to perform ablution using the meat of sheep. He also instructed us to pray in the places where the sheep gather and not to pray in the places where the camels gather. Abdullah narrated to us and said, "I heard Hajjaj ibn al-Sha'ir asking my father, 'Which one do you prefer, Umar the critic or Al-Mu'ayyati?' He replied, 'Umar the critic was careful to always speak the truth.'"

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَأَنْ لَا نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي مَبَاءَةِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّيَ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حَجَّاجَ بْنَ الشَّاعِرِ يَسْأَلُ أَبِي فَقَالَ أَيُّمَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكَ عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ أَوِ الْمُعَيْطِيُّ؟ فَقَالَ كَانَ عُمَرٌو النَّاقِدُ يَتَحَرَّى الصِّدْقَ

"The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 495)

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي دِمَنِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّيَ فِي عَطَنِ الْإِبِلِ

[AI] I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you perform ablution with the sheep's meat?" He replied, "If you wish, you may perform ablution with it, and if you wish, you may not." The man then asked, "Should I perform ablution with the camel's meat?" He replied, "Yes, perform ablution with the camel's meat." The man further asked, "Can we pray in the blessed grazing places of camels?" He replied, "No." Then the man asked, "Should we pray in the sheepfolds?" He replied, "Yes, pray in the sheepfolds."

كُنْتُ قَاعِدًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ إِنْشِئْتَ تَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَا تَوَضَّأْ قَالَ أَفَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ قَالَ فَنُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ صَلِّ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , a man came to him and asked, "Can I perform ablution with sheep meat?" The Prophet replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I pray in their sheep pens?" The Prophet answered, "Yes, if you wish." The man further asked, "Can I perform ablution with camel meat?" The Prophet again replied, "Yes." Finally, the man asked, "Can I pray in their watering places?" The Prophet replied, "No."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَالَ فَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] An Arab Bedouin approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking. The Bedouin said, "O Messenger of Allah, can we pray while riding on our camels?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "No." The Bedouin asked, "Do we perform ablution from their meat?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Yes." The Bedouin asked, "Can we pray in the sheepfolds?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ answered, "Yes." The Bedouin asked again, "Do we perform ablution from their meat?" He replied, "No."

عَرَضَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسِيرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تُدْرِكُنَا الصَّلَاةُ وَنَحْنُ فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ فَنُصَلِّي فِيهَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا قَالَ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] A man asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, do you perform ablution with the meat of sheep?" He said, "If you wish, perform ablution, and if you wish, do not perform ablution." The man asked, "Do you perform ablution with the meat of camels?" He said, "Yes." The man then asked, "May I pray in the blessed area of camels?" The Prophet replied, "No."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَنُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا» قِيلَ أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قِيلَ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قِيلَ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «لَا»

The Messenger of Allah said: "If you cannot find anywhere (for prayer) except sheep's resting-places and camels' resting-places, then perform prayer in the sheep's resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels' resting-places." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 768)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا لَمْ تَجِدُوا إِلَّا مَرَابِضَ الْغَنَمِ وَمَعَاطِنَ الْإِبِلِ فَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الْإِبِلِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الْإِبِلِ فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ»

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَطَهَّرْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَدَعْ» قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أَفَأَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا»

He said, "Should I pray in the sleeping places of camels?" He said, "No."

كُنْتُ قَاعِدًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا» قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

عَنْ جَدِّهِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ «كُنَّا نُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ وَكُنَّا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ»
