A man asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) whether he should perform ablution after (eating) mutton. He (the Messenger of Allah) said: Perform ablution it you so desire, and if you do not wish, do not perform it. He (again) asked: Should I perform ablution (after eating) camel's flesh? He said: Yes, perform ablution (after eating) camel's flesh. He (again) said: May I say prayer in the sheepfolds? He (the Messenger of Allah) said: Yes. He (the narrator) again said: May I say prayer where camels lie down? He (the Holy Prophet) said: No.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلاَ تَوَضَّأْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ قَالَ لاَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about performing ablution after eating the flesh of the camel. He replied: Perform ablution, after eating it. سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ فَقَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهَا وَسُئِلَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ لاَ تَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهَا وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ فَقَالَ لاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا فِيهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَكَةٌ

The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) was asked about saying prayer at places where the camels kneel down. He replied; Do not say prayer at places where the camels kneel down because they are the places of devils. And he was asked about saying prayer in the fold of sheep. He replied: pray there because they are the places of blessing.

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ فَقَالَ لاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا فِيهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَكَةٌ

"The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton."

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ وَلاَ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Perform ablution after (eating) camel meat, but do not perform ablution after (eating) mutton. Perform ablution after (drinking) camel's milk, but do not perform ablution after (drinking) sheep's milk. Perform prayer in the sheep pens but not do in the camels' Ma'atin.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ وَلاَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الإِبِلِ وَلاَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الْغَنَمِ وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلاَ تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الإِبِلِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Perform ablution from the meat of the camel and do not perform ablution from the meat of the sheep. Pray in the enclosures of the sheep and do not pray in the sanctified areas of the camels."

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ تَوَضَّئُوامِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ

[AI] A man asked Prophet Muhammad, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of sheep?" He replied, "No." The man asked, "Can I pray in the sheep's pens?" The Prophet said, "Yes." The man asked, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of camels?" The Prophet said, "Yes." The man asked, "Can I pray in the places where camels urinate?" The Prophet replied, "No."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Should I perform ablution with the meat of a sheep?" He said, "If you wish, you may do so, and if you wish, you may not do so." He then asked, "Should I perform ablution with the meat of a camel?" He replied, "Yes." The man then paused and returned and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, can I pray in the grazing area of sheep?" He said, "Yes." He then asked, "Can I pray in the blessed area of camels?" He replied, "No."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ هَلْ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَعَلْتَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَقَفَّى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَاءَةِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا

"The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 495)

[AI] I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ , and they asked him, "Do you perform ablution from the meat of sheep?" He said, "If you wish, then perform ablution, and if you wish, then do not perform ablution." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, do you perform ablution from the meat of camels?" He said, "Yes, perform ablution." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, shall we pray in the sheepfolds?" He said, "Yes." They asked, "Shall we pray in the blessed places of camels?" He said, "No."

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ فَقَالَ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَتَوَضَّئُوا وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ لَا تَتَوَضَّئُوا فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ تَوَضَّئُوا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالُوا نُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was asked about praying in the sheepfold, so he allowed it. He was then asked about praying in the camel's resting place, so he forbade it. He was asked about performing ablution with the meat of a camel, so he said, "Perform ablution." He was asked about performing ablution with the meat of a sheep, so he said, "If you wish, then perform ablution; and if you wish, then do not."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَباءَةِ الْغَنَمِ فَرَخَّصَ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَباءَةِ الْإِبِلِ فَنَهَى عَنْهُ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , a man came to him and asked, "Can I perform ablution using sheep's meat?" The Prophet replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I pray in its place?" The Prophet said, "Yes, if you wish." The man further inquired, "Can I perform ablution using camel's meat?" The Prophet replied, "Yes." The man then asked, "Can I pray in its place?" The Prophet replied, "No."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَالَ أَفَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Can I perform ablution with the meat of a sheep?" He replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I pray in the grazing area of the sheep?" He answered, "Yes." كُنْتُ قَاعِدًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ إِنْشِئْتَ تَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَا تَوَضَّأْ قَالَ أَفَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ قَالَ فَنُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ صَلِّ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , a man came to him and asked, "Can I perform ablution with sheep meat?" The Prophet replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I pray in their sheep pens?" عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِهَا؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَالَ فَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِهَا؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] A man asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , "O Messenger of Allah, do you perform ablution with the meat of sheep?" He said, "If you wish, perform ablution, and if you wish, do not perform ablution." The man asked, "Do you perform ablution with the meat of camels?" He said, "Yes." The man then asked, "May I pray in the blessed area of camels?" The Prophet replied, "No."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَتَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا»

On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ it is narrated that he was asked about praying in the sleeping places of sheep, so he permitted it. He was asked about praying in the sleeping places of camels, so he forbade it. And he was asked about making ablution with the meat of sheep, so he said, "If you like, make ablution with it, and if you prefer, then do not."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَاتِ الْغَنَمِ فَرَخَّصَ فِيهَا وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَاتِ الْإِبِلِ فَنَهَى عَنْهَا وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَتَوَضَّأْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pray in the grazing areas of the sheep, but do not perform ablution with their milk. And do not pray in the resting places of the camels, but perform ablution with their milk."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الْإِبِلِ وَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا»

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while I was with him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I purify myself from the meat of sheep?" He said, "If you wish, then purify yourself, and if you wish, then leave it." The man then asked, "Can I pray in the sheep's dwellings?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Yes." The man further inquired, "Should I purify myself from the meat of camels?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes." The man asked, "Can I pray in the blessed areas of camels?" The Prophet ﷺ responded, "No."

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَطَهَّرْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَدَعْ» قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أَفَأَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا»

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, should I perform ablution with sheep's meat?" He said, "If you wish, you may do so. And if you wish, you may not do so." He said, "Should I perform ablution with camel's meat?" He said, "Yes." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I pray in the sleeping places of sheep?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Should I pray in the sleeping places of camels?" He said, "No."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَعَلْتَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ» قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَاتِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَاتِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا»

[AI] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ , "Can I perform ablution using sheep's meat?" The Prophet replied, "If you want, you can perform ablution, and if you want, you don't have to." The man further asked, "Can I pray in the sheep's house?" The Prophet replied, "Yes, you can."

رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

[AI] A man went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked, "Can I purify myself with the meat of a camel?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Yes." The man then asked, "Can I pray in the places where camels rest?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No." The man continued, "Should I purify myself from the meat of a sheep?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you wish, you can purify yourself, and if you wish, you don't have to." The man then asked, "Can I pray in the places where sheep rest?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Yes."

مَرَّ رَجُلٌ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا» قَالَ أَفَأَتَطَهَّرُ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَطَهَّرْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَطَهَّرْ» قَالَ فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked whether one should perform prayer in the resting places of camels. He replied, "No." It was then asked whether ablution should be performed using the meat of camels. He answered, "Yes." It was asked if prayer should be performed in the resting places of sheep. He replied, "Yes." It was then asked whether ablution should be performed using the meat of sheep. He said, "No."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ أَيُصَلَّى فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا» قِيلَ أَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ فَيُصَلَّى فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قِيلَ يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ «لَا»

"The Messenger of Allah commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat but not to perform ablution after eating the mutton." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 495)

«أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي دِبْنِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ»

They asked, "Can we pray in the places where the camels are slaughtered?" He said, "No." They asked, "Did you perform ablution from sheep meat?" He said, "If you wish, then perform ablution, and if you wish, then do not perform ablution." They asked, "Can we pray in the places where the sheep are slaughtered?" He said, "Yes."

كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَسُئِلَ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ فَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ» فَقَالُوا أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا» قَالُوا أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» قَالُوا أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

[AI] I was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ , then a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, can I perform ablution using sheep meat?" He said, "If you wish, perform ablution and if you wish, do not perform ablution." He asked, "Can I perform ablution using camel meat?" He said, "Yes." He asked, "Can I pray in the place where camels are slaughtered?" He said, "No." He asked, "Can I pray in the place where sheep are slaughtered?" He said, "Yes."

كُنْتُ قَاعِدًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ «لَا» قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

[AI] From his grandfather Ja'bir ibn Samurah: "We used to pray in the sheepfolds and not pray in the blessed camel enclosures, and we used to perform ablution with the meat of camels and not with the meat of sheep."

عَنْ جَدِّهِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ «كُنَّا نُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا نُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ وَكُنَّا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said: "Perform ablution from the meat of camels and do not perform ablution from the meat of sheep. Pray in the sheepfolds and do not pray in the blessed areas of camels."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Pray in the sheepfolds and do not pray in the feeding troughs of the camels or in the areas where camels urinate."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ أَوْ مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ»

[AI] A Bedouin man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Can I perform ablution using the meat of a camel?" The Prophet replied, "Yes." The man asked, "Can I pray in its sacred location?" The Prophet replied, "No." The man then asked, "Can I perform ablution using the meat of a sheep?" The Prophet replied, "No." The man asked again, "Can I pray in its feeding area?" The Prophet replied, "Yes."

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِهَا قَالَ لَا قَالَ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ قَالَ لَا قَالَ أُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while I was with him, and he said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you purify yourself from the meat of sheep?" He replied, "If you wish, and if you wish, then leave it." The man asked, "Should I pray in the sheep pens?" He said, "Yes." The man asked again, "Should I purify myself from the meat of camels?" He replied, "Yes." The man asked, "Should I pray in the blessed areas of camels?" He said, "No."

أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَدَعْ قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَأَتَطَّهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ لَا

The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) was asked about saying prayer at places where the camels kneel down. He replied; Do not say prayer at places where the camels kneel down because they are the places of devils. And he was asked about saying prayer in the fold of sheep. He replied: pray there because they are the places of blessing. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 493)

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ لَا تُصَلُّوا فِيهَا فَإِنَّهَا مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ صَلُّوا فِيهَا فَإِنَّهَا بَرَكَةٌ حَدِيثُهُمَا سَوَاءٌ

"تَوَضَّئُوا من لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ وَلَا تَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ، وَصَلُّوا في مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِى مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ".

"تَوَضَّئُوا من لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ، ولَا تَوَضَّئُوا من لُحوم الْغَنَمِ، وَتَوَضَّئُوا مِن أَلبان الإِبِل، وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِ الْغَنَم، وَصَلوُّا في مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ، وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِى مَعَاطِنِ الإِبِلِ".

"توَضَّئُوا من لحُومِ الإِبِلِ، ولا تُصَلُّوا فِى مُنَاخِهَا. وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا من لحُومِ الْغنَمِ، وَصَلُّوا فِى مَرَابِضِها".

"لَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ، فإِنَّها مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ، وصَلُّوا في مَرابِضِ الغَنَمِ، فَإِنَّها بَرَكَةٌ".

"سُئِلَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ عَنِ الصَّلَاة فِي مَبَارِكِ الإِبِلِ، فَقَالَ: لَا تُصَلُّوا فِيهَا، وَسُئِلَ عَن الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَرَابِضِ الغَنَمِ، فَقَالَ: صَلُّوا فِيها فَإنَّهَا بَرَكَةٌ".

"سُئِلَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ أَنُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: فَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَنَتَوَضَّأ مِنْ لُحُومِ الغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: أَنَتَوضَّأ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ".

"أَمَرنَا رَسُولُ الله ﷺ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ، وَلاَ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَم، وَأَنْ نُصَلِّىَ في مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَم، وَلاَ نُصَلِّىَ في أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ".
