"When An-Najashi died, the Prophet said: 'Pray for forgiveness for him."'
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ
"When An-Najashi died, the Prophet said: 'Pray for forgiveness for him."'
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ
praying at dawn for God’s forgiveness,
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
"The swearing of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was: 'No, and I ask Allah for forgiveness."'
كَانَتْ يَمِينُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ
"When An-Najashi died, the Prophet said: 'Pray for forgiveness for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2041)
«يَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ»
"Regarding the one who has intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, he said, 'He seeks forgiveness from Allah.'"
فِي الَّذِي يَقَعُ عَلَى امْرَأَتِهِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ قَالَ «يَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ»
[AI] Ibrahim said, "He seeks forgiveness from Allah."
وقالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ «يَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ»
[AI] The other person said, "He was forgiven."
وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ «غُفِرَ لَهُ»
[AI] I have never seen anyone say "I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him" more than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .
مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَكْثَرَ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
قال النَّبِيّ ﷺ استغفروا له
"When An-Najashi died, the Prophet said: 'Pray for forgiveness for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2041)
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلنَّجَاشِيِّ»
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, your brother, An-Najashi, has passed away, so seek forgiveness for him."
لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ»
[AI] In his saying, "So whoever hastens [his departure] in two days - there is no sin upon him. And whoever delays [until the third] - there is no sin upon him." He said, "He is forgiven."
فِي قَوْلِهِ {§فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ} قَالَ «مَغْفُورٌ لَهُ»
"When An-Najashi died, the Prophet said: 'Pray for forgiveness for him."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2041)
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اسْتَغْفِرُوا لَهُ»
[AI] I have never seen anyone say more "I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him" than the Messenger of Allah.
مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَكْثَرَ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

غُفِرَ لَهُ
[AI] He said, "Seek forgiveness from Allah and do not repeat it."
أَنَّهُ قَالَ اسْتَغْفِرِ اللهَ وَلَا تَعُدْ
[AI] In His saying "He is the one who deserves to be feared and the one who forgives" [Surah Al-Muddathir: 56], He said, "We are deserving that My servant fears Me. If he does not do so, then I am deserving to forgive him."
فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ {هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ} [المدثر 56] قَالَ «إِنَّا أَهْلٌ لِأَنْ يَتَّقِيَنِي عَبْدِي فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ كُنْتُ أَهْلًا لِأَنْ أَغْفِرَ لَهُ»
"The swearing of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was: 'No, and I ask Allah for forgiveness."' (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2093)
أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بَزَقَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَقَالَ «أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ»
"إِنِّى لأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّه في الْيومِ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً".
"عن سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلنَّجَاشِى".
