A group of Jews came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "As-samu 'Alaika " (Death be on you), and I understood it and said to them, "Alaikum AsSamu wa-l-la'na (Death and curse be on you)." Allah's Apostle said, "Be calm! O ʿAisha, for Allah loves that one should be kind and lenient in all matters." I said. "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Haven't you heard what they have said?" Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have (already) said (to them), 'Alaikum (upon you).' "

دَخَلَ رَهْطٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَفَهِمْتُهَا فَقُلْتُ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّامُ وَاللَّعْنَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَهْلاً يَا عَائِشَةُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مَا قَالُوا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَدْ قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكُمْ

A group of Jews asked permission to visit the Prophet (and when they were admitted) they said, "As- Samu 'Alaika (Death be upon you)." I said (to them), "But death and the curse of Allah be upon you!" The Prophet ﷺ said, "O ʿAisha! Allah is kind and lenient and likes that one should be kind and lenient in all matters." I said, "Haven't you heard what they said?" He said, "I said (to them), 'Wa 'Alaikum (and upon you).

قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَهْطٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْتُ بَلْ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّامُ وَاللَّعْنَةُ فَقَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ قُلْتُ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مَا قَالُوا قَالَ قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكُمْ

As-Sam-u-'Alaikum. A'isha said in response: As-Sam-u-'Alaikum (death be upon you) and curse also, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A'isha, verily Allah loves kindness in every matter. She said: Did you bear what they said? Thereupon he said: Did you not hear that I said (to them): Wa 'Alaikum.

قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَهْطٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ بَلْ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّامُ وَاللَّعْنَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ قَالَتْ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مَا قَالُوا قَالَ قَدْ قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكُمْ

Allah is gentle, likes gentleness, and gives for gentleness what he does not give for harshness.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لاَ يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ

"Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness, and He grants reward for it that He does not grant for harshness."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لاَ يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ

"Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in all things."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ

who attributed to the Prophet ﷺ: "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted is kind and loves kindness. He is pleased with it and helps you with it as long as it is not misplaced. When you ride dumb beasts, stop them in their stopping places, and quicken their pace when the land is barren. Travel by night, because the land is travelled faster at night than it is during the day. Beware of pitching tents on the road, for it is the path of animals and the abode of snakes."

يَرْفَعُهُ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى رَفِيقٌ، يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيَرْضَى بِهِ، وَيُعِينُ عَلَيْهِ مَا لاَ يُعِينُ عَلَى الْعُنْفِ۔ فَإِذَا رَكِبْتُمْ هَذِهِ الدَّوَابَّ الْعُجْمَ فَأَنْزِلُوهَا مَنَازِلَهَا۔ فَإِنْ كَانَتِ الأَرْضُ جَدْبَةً فَانْجُوا عَلَيْهَا بِنِقْيِهَا۔ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِسَيْرِ اللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّ الأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ مَا لاَ تُطْوَى بِالنَّهَارِ۔ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّعْرِيسَ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ فَإِنَّهَا طُرُقُ الدَّوَابِّ وَمَأْوَى الْحَيَّاتِ۔»

"Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in all things." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3689)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ

As-Sam-u-'Alaikum. A'isha said in response: As-Sam-u-'Alaikum (death be upon you) and curse also, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A'isha, verily Allah loves kindness in every matter. عَنْ عَائِشَةَ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَهْطٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ بَلِ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاللَّعْنَةُ قَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ قَالَتْ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مَا قَالُوا؟ قَالَ فَقَدْ قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكُمْ

"Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in all things." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3689)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah loves gentleness in all matters."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah the Exalted loves gentleness in every affair."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ»

"Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness, and He grants reward for it that He does not grant for harshness." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3688)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿAllah is Kind and loves kindness, and He rewards for kindness in a way that He does not reward for harshness.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 902)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ وَمَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى مَا سِوَاهُ»

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Indeed, Allah is compassionate and loves compassion. He is pleased with it and assists with it, unlike violence. So, when you ride these foreign animals (in reference to camels), guide them gently to their designated locations. If the earth becomes barren, move on from it. For, indeed, the earth is folded during the night in a way that it is not folded during the day. And beware of riding through the dirt road, as it is the path of animals and the abode of insects."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيَرْضَاهُ وَيُعِينُ عَلَيْهِ مَا لَا يُعِينُ عَلَى الْعُنْفِ فَإِذَا رَكِبْتُمْ هَذِهِ الدَّوَابَّ الْعُجْمَ فَأَنْزِلُوهَا مَنَازِلَهَا فَإِنْ أَجْدَبَتِ الْأَرْضُ فَانْجُوا عَلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ الْأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ مَا لَا تُطْوَى بِالنَّهَارِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّعْرِيسَ بِالطَّرِيقِ فَإِنَّهُ طَرِيقُ الدَّوَابِّ وَمَأْوَى الْحَيَّاتِ

[Machine] If the land is fertile, then aim for exploration and give the travelers their rights; for indeed, Allah is Kind who loves kindness. But if it is arid, then flee and rely on the camel (for transportation); for indeed, the land folds at night and be cautious of the wild animals on the road; for indeed, it is the abode of snakes and the hunting ground of predators.

إِذَا كَانَتِ الْأَرْضُ مُخْصِبَةً فَتَقَصَّدُوا فِي السَّيْرِ وَأَعْطُوا الرِّكَابَ حَقَّهَا؛ فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مُجْدِبَةً فَانْجُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالدُّلْجَةِ؛ فَإِنَّ الْأَرْضَ تُطْوَى بِاللَّيْلِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالتَّعْرِيسَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الطَّرِيقِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ مَأْوَى الْحَيَّاتِ وَمَدْرَجَةُ السِّبَاعِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah grants through gentleness what He does not grant through harshness, and whenever Allah loves a servant, He grants him gentleness. No household has been deprived of gentleness except that they have been deprived of all good."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْخُرْقِ وَإِذَا أَحَبَّ اللهُ عَبْدًا أَعْطَاهُ الرِّفْقَ مَا مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ يُحْرَمُونَ الرِّفْقَ إِلَّا قَدْ حُرِمُوا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah loves kindness and is pleased with it, and He supports with it what He does not support with violence."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيَرْضَاهُ وَيُعِينُ عَلَيْهِ مَا لَا يُعِينُ عَلَى الْعُنْفِ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿAllah is Kind and loves kindness, and He rewards for kindness in a way that He does not reward for harshness.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 902)

قال قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ اللهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقُ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ»

دَخَلَ رَهْطٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَفَهِمْتُهَا فَقُلْتُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاللَّعْنَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَهْلًا يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الْأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مَا قَالُوا؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ قُلْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ

'A'isha, verily Allah is kind and He loves kindness and confers upon kindness which he does not confer upon severity and does not confer upon anything else besides it (kindness). (Using translation from Muslim 2593)

ؓ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ اللهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ وَمَا لَا يُعْطِي عَلَى مَا سِوَاهُ

'Abdullah ibn Mughaffal reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah is compassionate and loves compassion. He gives for compassion what He goes not give for harshness."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَيْهِ مَا لاَ يُعْطِي عَلَى الْعُنْفِ

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ وَيُعْطِي عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لا يُعْطِي عَلَى العنف

"إذا كَانَت الأرضُ مُخْصِبَة فتقصّدُوا في السّيرِ، وأعْطُوا الرِّكابَ حقها؛ فإِنَّ الله تعالى رَفيقٌ يُحبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وإنْ كانَتْ مُجْدِبَةً فأنُجوُا، وَعليكمْ بالدُّلَجْةِ؛ فإِنَّ الأرْض. تُطوى باللَّيل، وإياكُمْ والتعْرِيسَ على ظهرِ الطَّرِيقِ، فإِنه مأوى الحيَّاتِ ومدرجةُ السِّباع" .

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ لَيُعْطِى على الرفق ما لا يُعطى على الْخُرْقِ ، وَإِذا أحَبَّ الله عَبْدًا أعْطَاهُ الرفق؛ مَا مِنْ أهْلِ بيت يُحْرَمُونَ الرِّفق إِلَّا قَدْ حُرِموا".

"إِنَّ الله يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأمْرِ كُلِّهِ ".

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، ويَرْضَاه، ويعينُ عليه ما لا يُعِينُ عَلَى العنف".

("إِنَّ الله يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، ويُعْطِى عَلَيه، ما لا يُعْطِي على العنف".

"إِنَّ الله تَعَالى رفيقٌ يُحبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَيَرْضَاهُ، ويُعِينُ عَلَيهِ مَا لا يُعِينُ عَلَى الْعُنْف؛ فَإِذَا ركبْتُمْ هذه الدَّوَابَّ الْعُجمَ فَنَزِّلوُها منَازِلها، وإنْ أَجْدَبَت الأرْضُ فانْجُوا عَلَيها؛ فَإنَّ الأرضَ تُطوَى باللَّيل ما لا تُطوى بالنَّهَارِ، وإِيَّاكُمْ والتّعْريسَ بالطَّريق. فَإِنَّهُ طَرِيقُ الدَّوابِّ، ومأوَى الْحيَّاتِ".

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ رَفِيقٌ يُحبُّ الرِّفْقَ، فَإِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي الخصب فَأمْكنِوا الرِّكَابَ أسِنَّتها، ولا تُجاوزوا بِهَا الْمَنَازِلَ، وَإذا سِرْتُمْ فِي الْجَدْبِ فانْجُوا وَعَلَيكمْ بالدّلْجةِ ، فَإِنَّ الأرض تُطْوى باللَّيلِ، وإنْ تَغَوَّلتْ بكُمْ الْغيَلانُ فَنَادوا بالأذانِ، وَإِيَّاكمْ والصلاةَ عَلَى جَوادِّ الطَّريق؛ فَإِنَّها مَمَرُّ السِّبَاعِ، ومَأْوَى الْحَيَّاتِ".

"إِنَّ الله ﷻ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرفقَ في الأمْرِ كُلِّه، ويُحبُّ كُلَّ قَلبٍ خَاشعٍ حَزينٍ رَحيمٍ يُعَلِّمُ النَّاسَ الْخَيرَ، ويَدْعُو إِلى طَاعَة الله، وَيُبْغِضُ كُلَّ قَلبٍ قَاس لاهٍ، يَنَامُ اللَّيلَ كُلَّهُ، وَلا يَذْكُرُ الله تَعَالى فَلَا يدْرِى؛ يَرُدُّ الله رُوحَهُ أمْ لا؟ ".

"إِنَّ الله رَفيقٌ يُحبُّ الرِّفْقَ ويَرْضَاه وَيُعينُ عَلَيه ما لا يُعينُ عَلى العُنْفِ".

"إِنَّ الله رَفيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، ويُعْطى عَلَيه مَا لا يُعْطى عَلَى الْعُنْفِ".

"إِنَّ الله تعالى لَيُعطى على الرفْقِ ما لا يُعطى على الْخُرْقِ ، فإِذا أَحبَّ الله عَبْدًا أَعطاه الرِّفقَ، ما من أَهلِ بيت يُحرَمون الرفقَ إلا قد حُرِموا".

"مَهْلًا يَا عَائِشَةُ، إِنَّ الله يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ في الأمْرِ كُلِّهِ".

"يَا عَائِشَةُ: إِن الله رَفِيق يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ في الأمْرِ كُلِّهِ".

"يَا عَائِشَةُ: إِنَّ الله رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ، وَيُعْطِى عَلَى الرِّفْقِ مَا لَا يُعْطِى عَلَى الْعُنْفِ، وَمَا لَا يُعْطِى عَلَى مَا سِوَاهُ".
