عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

‘There is to be no narrating on authority of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah send blessings and peace upon him, except by trustworthy narrators (Thiqāt)’. (Using translation from Muslim i023)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَّا الثِّقَاتُ»

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ used to fast on the day of Ashura and would encourage others to fast as well."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَيَأْمُرُُ بِصِيَامِهِ»

He did not mention the name of Ibn ‘Abbas. Abu Dawud said “Al Hussain bin Huraith wrote to me saying “Al Fadl bin Musa narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas to the same effect from the Prophet ﷺ. [AI] Our friendship was when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was among us for ten years, and he shook hands with both of us, and that was four hundred (years).

كَانَ صَدَاقُنَا إِذْ كَانَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَشْرَ أَوَاقٍ وَطَبَّقَ بِيَدَيْهِ وَذَلِكَ أَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ

Abu Dawud said “I heard Muhammad bin Isa narrating this tradition who said Mu’tamar narrated it to us. And he (Mu’tamar) said “ I heard Al Hakam bin Aban narrating this tradition. [AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to forbid cursing the dead, so why do you curse Ali even though he has passed away?

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ سَبِّ الْمَوْتَى فَلِمَ تَسُبُّ عَلِيًّا وَقَدْ مَاتَ ؟ ‍‍

"I heard Ash-Sha'bi saying: 'I sat with Ibn 'Umar for a year and I did not hear him narrate anything from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 26)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَدِيدٌ

[AI] The translation of the given passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited cursing the dead, so why do you curse Ali even though he is dead?"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ سَبِّالْمَوْتَى فَلِمَ تَسُبُّ عَلِيًّا وَقَدْ مَاتَ ؟

عَنِ ابْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

By Allah, I am certain that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that. (Using translation from Aḥmad 101)

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الزُّورِ»

[AI] "Kannani Rasool Allahi, salla Allah alaihi wa sallam, bi Abi Hamzah."

"The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to call me by the name of Abu Hamzah."

«كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأَبِي حَمْزَةَ»
