12. Remaing Anṣār (3/28)
[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the 'Isha’ (night) prayer; and if they knew the reward they would come to them (mosques) even if they had to crawl. Truly, I felt that I should order the Mu'adh-dhin (callmaker) to pronounce Iqama (call) for the prayer and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The imam (leader) is a guarantor and the muadhdhin (caller to prayer) is trustworthy."
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim unlawfully by means of his (false) oath, Allah makes the Fire required for him, Paradise unlawful for him." A man said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something small?" He said: "Even if it is a twig of an Arak tree." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 5419)
[Machine] "Abu Abdullah Al-Rahman, this is Abu Ummamah Al-Harithi and he is not Abu Ummamah Al-Bahili."
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , that he said: "None of you should come to prayer while he is angry, and no one of you should exclude others from supplicating along with him. So whoever does that, he has betrayed them."
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The angels sit at the doors of the mosques on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday) and they record the names of people who enter first, second, and third, until the Imam comes out and the registers are lifted.'"

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Do not pray when the sun is rising, for it rises between the horns of Satan and every disbeliever prostrates to it. And do not pray when it is setting, for it sets between the horns of Satan and every disbeliever prostrates to it. And do not pray at midday, for it is at the moment of Hellfire's scorching heat."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to perform them (two units) after Witr prayer while sitting down, reciting in them when the earth would shake, and say: "O disbelievers!"
[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "There are four people whose rewards continue after death: a person who stays on the frontier in the cause of Allah, a person who performs an action and its reward continues to be given to him, a person who gives a charity and its reward continues to be given to him, and a person who leaves behind a righteous child who supplicates for him."
[Machine] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not wear silk or gold."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not wear silk or gold."
[Machine] I heard Abu Umamah say that a person will enter Paradise through the intercession of a man who is not a prophet, such as Al-Hayyan or one of the Al-Hayyan. Rabee'ah and Mudar. Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who is Rabee'ah from Mudar?" He replied, "I only say what I am told to say."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever intercedes for someone with intercession and presents them with a gift, and they accept it, then they have come to a great door of usury."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever initiates with greetings of peace, he is more deserving of Allah's favor and the favor of His Messenger."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, ablution (wudu) erases what came before it, then prayer becomes voluntary." It was said to him, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "Yes, not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not five times."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and saw a group of people telling stories, so he stopped and said, "Tell me a story, for sitting and listening from the morning until the sun rises is more beloved to me than freeing four slaves. And after Asr prayer until sunset is more beloved to me than freeing four slaves."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should come to prayer while he is experiencing the need to relieve himself, nor should he prefer himself over his companions or enter their houses without seeking permission." A sheikh, when he heard this narration, said, "I heard Abu Umamah narrating this hadith."
[Machine] "I have stood in this place of mine, and I am not a preacher, nor do I want to preach. But I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'After completing a meal, praise be to Allah abundantly, with a good and blessed praise that is not lacking, not insufficient, and not unnecessary.' He continued repeating them to us until we memorized them."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is none from my Ummah (nation) except that I will recognize them on the Day of Resurrection." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, who are those you have seen and those you have not seen?" He said, "Those whom I have seen and those whom I have not seen are those with bright faces from the traces of ablution."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , that day, sitting with his legs in the trench, stretching his neck to be able to hear people. He said in a loud voice, "Don't you hear?" A man from the people said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you command us?" He said, "Worship your Lord, pray your five daily prayers, fast during your month, and obey those in authority over you. By doing so, you will enter the paradise of your Lord." I said, "O Abu Umaamah, what were you like that day?" He said, "I was thirty years old at that time, wrestling with the camel, pushing it forward towards the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ."
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ concerning His saying {And as for those in their hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is ambiguous, seeking discord} [Quran 3:7]. He ﷺ said: They are the Khawarij. And in His saying {On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black} [Quran 3:106]. He ﷺ said: They are the Khawarij.
[Machine] I performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , the farewell Hajj. So he praised and thanked Allah, and then he said, "Behold, it is quite possible that you might never see me after this year. Behold, it is quite possible that you might never see me after this year. Behold, it is quite possible that you might never see me after this year." Then a tall man, almost appearing from the people of Shanua, stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we do?" He said, "Worship your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, fast during your month [Ramadan], make pilgrimage to your House [Kaaba], and give your Zakat willingly so that you may enter the paradise of your Lord with ease."
[Machine] I said, "O Prophet of Allah, what was the first beginning of your affair?" He said, "The invocation of my father Ibrahim, the glad tidings of Issa, and my mother saw a light emanating from her that illuminated the palaces of Sham."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the killing of house lizards except for the two types: the gecko and the skink, as they harm the eyes and women are frightened by them.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first row of worshippers. They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about the second row?' He said, 'Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first row.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about the second row?' He said, 'Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first row.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what about the second row?' He said, 'And upon the second row.' The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , also said, 'Straighten your rows, close the gaps between your shoulders, be gentle in the hands of your brothers, and fill the gaps. For indeed, Shaytan enters the gaps between you like a crawling serpent,' meaning the young lambs."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Close your doors, extinguish your lamps, hold onto your utensils, and tame your animals. Indeed, they are not permitted to roam around you."
"O son of Adam! If you give your surplus it is better for you, and if you keep it, it is worse for you, but there is no harm with what is sufficient. And begin(the giving) with your dependents, and the upper hand (giving) is better than the lower hand (receiving)." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2343)
[Machine] He said, "I heard Abu Umamah saying that a man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the mosque and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed I have committed a sin, so please establish the punishment upon me.' The Prophet ﷺ remained silent. Then, he came and said to him again. Then, the prayer was established and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. After that, he turned away. Abu Umamah said, 'The man followed him.' He said, 'I followed him to know what he would say to him.' The man said, 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed I have committed a sin, so please establish the punishment upon me.' The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'Did you not perform ablution before leaving your house, and you performed it well, then you prayed with us?' He said, 'Yes.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Then, indeed Allah has forgiven your sin or fault.' Shaddad bin Aws (one of the narrators) said about the Hadith, 'So I left with the Prophet ﷺ and the man followed him.'"
Virtues of doing Wuḍūʾ and how sins fall off from body parts
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whenever a man performs his wuḍūʾ (ritual ablution) intending to pray and (1) he washes his hands, the sins of his hands fall down with the first drop. When (2) he rinses his mouth and (3) nose, the sins of his tongue and lips fall down with the first drop. When (4) he washes his face, the sins of his hearing and sight fall down with the first drop. When (5) he washes his arms to his elbows and (6) his feet to his ankles, he is purified from every sin and fault like the day he was born from his mother.”
He ˹also˺ said, "If he stands for prayer, Allah will raise his rank by a degree. ˹And thus,˺ when he sits, he will sit faultless.”
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The angels sit on the doors of the mosque on Friday, holding scrolls in which they record the people. When the Imam comes out, the scrolls are folded. I said: O Abu Umamah, is there no Friday for those who come after the Imam? He said: Indeed there is, but their names are not recorded in the scrolls.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, fate comes from Allah. He said, 'O partner, it is love and fame from the sky. So when Allah loves a servant, He says to Gabriel, 'I love so-and-so, so love him.' Then Gabriel announces, 'Indeed, Allah has loved so-and-so, therefore love him.' So the people on Earth love him as well. And when Allah dislikes a servant, He says to Gabriel, 'I dislike so-and-so, so dislike him.' Then Gabriel announces, 'Indeed, your Lord dislikes so-and-so, therefore dislike him.' So the people on Earth dislike him as well."

[Machine] I entered upon Abu Umamah while he was picking nit in the mosque and burying it in the sand. So, I said to him, "O Abu Umamah, a man informed me about you that you said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, whoever performs ablution and does it perfectly, washing his hands and face, and then wipes his head, and ears, then stands for the obligatory prayer, Allah will forgive him all the sins he commits on that day, and his prayer will be recorded as equivalent to the worship of a night of vigil." He seized his legs with his hands and brought them together, and heard with his ears, and looked with his eyes. Then he said himself for evil, saying "By Allah, I heard it from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ , and I cannot count it."

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me of an action that will enter me into Paradise." He said, "Fast, for there is nothing equal to it."

[Machine] "I heard Abu Umaamah say that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went on a journey with a group of elderly Ansar who had white beards. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Wear turbans and shave your beards, and differ from the people of the Book.' We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the people of the Book wear sandals and do not wear shoes.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Wear sandals and shoes, and differ from the people of the Book.' We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the people of the Book shorten their clothes and do not wear robes.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Shorten your clothes and wear robes, and differ from the people of the Book.'"

"He will be given water of Sadid to drink, he will swallow it..." that the Prophet ﷺ said: " It will be brought toward his mouth and he will dislike it, so whenever it is brought closer to him it will melt his face and the skin of his head will fall into it. Then whenever he drinks from it, his bowels will be severed until it comes out from his anus. Allah, the Blessed and Exalted says: "And they will be given water of Hamim to drink such that it cuts up their bowels..." and He says: "And if they call for drink they will be given water of Muhl which melts the faces, the worst of drinks..." [Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a sin and I want you to establish the punishment on me." The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him. The man repeated his request twice more, but each time the Prophet turned away from him. After offering the prayer, when the Prophet ﷺ had finished, he called the man and asked him, "Did you perform ablution when you came to me?" The man replied, "Yes." The Prophet then asked, "Did you pray with us when we prayed?" The man replied, "Yes." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Go, for Allah has forgiven you."
