51. Companionship of Women (8/8)
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the house of Umm Salamah and there was a mukhannath (effeminate man) with her. He said, "O Abdullah ibn Abi Umayyah, if you had opened Ta'if, I would have shown you Badia bint Ghaylan. She accepts with four and satisfies with eight." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This should not be presented to you [referring to the mukhannath]."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah entered upon her, and her brother Abdullah was with her, along with a eunuch who was saying, "O Abdullah, if Allah grants you victory over Ta'if, then you should marry the daughter of Ghailan, for she accepts with four and conceives with eight." The Prophet said to Umm Salama, "He should not enter upon you." Malik ibn Anas disagreed with him.
[Machine] To Abdullah bin Abi Umamah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abdullah, if Allah grants you victory over Taif tomorrow, I will guide you to the daughter of Ghaylan, for she accepts with four and measures with eight." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Those people should not enter upon you." Abu Abdullah al-Rahman said, "The narration of Hisham is more authentic, and Az-Zuhri has confirmed it from Urwah ibn Hisham, and Hisham is from the Hufadh (memorizers of hadith). The narration of Hammad ibn Salamah is incorrect."
51.113 [Machine] The curse of women riders
The Prophet ﷺ cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, "Turn them out of your houses ." The Prophet ﷺ turned out such-and-such man, and ʿUmar turned out such-and-such woman. (Using translation from Bukhārī 5886)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ expelled a eunuch, and Umar expelled So-and-so and So-and-so.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the man who dressed like a woman and the woman who dressed like a man. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4098)
51.114 [Machine] The curse on effeminate men and their expulsion
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cursed the effeminate men and said, "Expel them from your houses." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ expelled So-and-so, and Umar expelled another.
51.115 [Machine] What was mentioned in regards to women?
"I attended the prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of 'Eid. He started with the prayer before the Khutbah, with no Adhan and no Iqamah. When he finished the prayer, he stood leaning on Bilal, and he praised and glorified Allah (SWT) and exhorted the people, reminding them and urging them to obey Allah (SWT). Then he moved away and went to the women, and Bilal was with him. He commanded them to fear Allah (SWT) and exhorted them and reminded them. He praised and glorified Allah, then he urged them to obey Allah, then he said: 'Give charity, for most of you are the fuel of Hell.' A lowly woman with dark cheeks said: 'Why, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'You complain a great deal and are ungrateful to your husbands.' They started taking off their necklaces, earrings and rings, throwing them into Bilal's garment, giving them in charity." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1575)
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said, "Women should give in charity, for you (women) are the majority of the inhabitants of Hell." A woman asked, "O Messenger of Allah, why is that? In what way? Or for what reason?" He replied, "Because you (women) often curse excessively and are ungrateful to your husbands."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O women, give charity even if it is from your adornments, for indeed you are the majority of the inhabitants of Hell." A woman not belonging to the noblest of women asked, "Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Because you curse frequently and are ungrateful to your spouses."
[Machine] Abdullah said, "Be generous, O women, towards him." And he did not elevate him.
The Prophet ﷺ said, "I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3241)
51.116 [Machine] The Mention of the Disagreement Regarding Abu Raja's Opinion in this Hadith
The Prophet ﷺ said, "I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3241)
The Prophet ﷺ said, "I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women." (Using translation from Bukhārī 3241)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I looked into the fire and found that the majority of its inhabitants are women, and I looked into Paradise and found that the majority of its inhabitants are the poor." [301] 9219 Yahya ibn Makhled informed us, who said Mu'afa informed us, from Sakhr ibn Juwayriyah, who said: I heard Abu Raja Al-'Attaridi narrating from Ibn Abbas.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I looked into Paradise and found that the majority of its people are poor, and I looked into the Hellfire and found that the majority of its people are women."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , say, "The majority of the inhabitants of Hell are women."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "The least inhabitants of Paradise are the women."
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at this place, when suddenly we saw a lot of crows. Among them was a crow with a red beak and feet. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of the women will enter Paradise except for the share of this crow compared to the other crows."
The world is sweet and green (alluring) and verily Allah is going to install you as vicegerent in it in order to see how you act. So avoid the allurement of women: verily, the first trial for the people of Isra'il was caused by women. And in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Ibn Bashshar the words are:" So that He should see how you act." (Using translation from Muslim 2742)
that the Prophet ﷺ said: "I have not left among the people after me, a Fitnah more harmful upon men than women." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2780)
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ once left in the morning and came to the women in the mosque. He stood before them and said, 'I have not seen any lacking in intelligence and religious commitment that has taken away the intellect of those who have understanding among you, as I have seen from women. As for the deficiency in your religion, it is the menstruation that affects you; one of you remains in this state as long as Allah wills, and during this time you do not pray or fast. That is the deficiency in your religion. As for the deficiency in your intelligence, it is your testimony; the testimony of a woman is half the testimony of a man, and it is lessened.'"
[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ complained about the pain that he suffered in, he said, "Abu Bakr should lead the people in prayer." Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr is a gentle man and he does not control his tears when he recites the Quran. Therefore, let Umar ibn al-Khattab lead the people in prayer." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abu Bakr should lead the people in prayer, for you (women) are like the women of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph)." Ma'mar disagreed with him.
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to my house, he said: Ask Abu Bakr to lead people in prayer. 'A'isha narrated: I said, Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr is a man of tenderly feelings; as he recites the Qur'an, he cannot help shedding tears: so better command anyone else to lead the prayer. By Allah, there is nothing disturbing in it for me but the idea that the people may not takeevil omen with regard to one who is the first to occupy the place of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I tried to dissuade him (the Holy Prophet) twice or thrice (from appointing my father as an Imam in prayer), but he ordered Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer and said: You women are like those (who had) surrounded Yusuf. (Using translation from Muslim 418e)

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , "The most blessed woman is the one who is easiest to maintain."

51.118 [Machine] The evil of women

"An omen is in a dwelling, a woman or a horse." Abu Dawud said: This tradition was read out to al-Harith b. Miskin and I was witness. It was said to him that Ibn Qasim told him that Malik was asked about evil omen in a horse and in a house. He replied: There are many houses in which people lived and perished and again others lived therein and they also perished. This is its explanation so far as we know. Allah knows best. Abu Dawud said: 'Umar (ra) said: A mat in a house better than a woman who does not give birth to a child. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3922)

I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying. "Evil omen is in three things: The horse, the woman and the house." (Using translation from Bukhārī 2858)
