"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived- meaning in Al-Madinah – the people came out to meet him. It was said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had arrived, so I went among the people to get a look at him. When I gazed upon the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I knew that this face was not the face of a liar.

The first thing that he spoke about was that he said: 'O you people! Spread the Salam, feed(others), and perform Salat while the people are sleeping; you will enter Paradise with (the greeting of) Salam.'"  

لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ انْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ وَقِيلَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَجِئْتُ فِي النَّاسِ لأَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَبَنْتُ وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ

وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ أَنْ قَالَ: «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصَلُّوا وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلاَمٍ»  

“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed towards him and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come!’ I came along with the people to see him, and when I looked at the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I realized that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing he said was: “O people, spread (the greeting of) Salam, offer food to people and pray at night when people are sleeping, you will enter Paradise in peace.”  

لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ انْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ وَقِيلَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَجِئْتُ فِي النَّاسِ لأَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا اسْتَبَنْتُ وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ شَىْءٍ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ أَنْ قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصَلُّوا بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلاَمٍ  

“When the Prophet ﷺ came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come!’ Three times. I came with the people to see him, and when I saw his face clearly, I knew that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was when he said: ‘O people! Spread (the greeting of) Salam, feed others, uphold the ties of kinship, and pray during the night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise with Salam.”*  

لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ انْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ قِبَلَهُ وَقِيلَ قَدْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَدْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَدْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ثَلاَثًا فَجِئْتُ فِي النَّاسِ لأَنْظُرَ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ شَىْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ أَنْ قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلاَمَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصِلُوا الأَرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلاَمٍ  

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, whenever I see you, my soul becomes content and my eyes are comforted. Inform me about everything." He said, "Everything is created from water." I said, "Inform me about an action that, if I do it, I will enter Paradise." He said, "Spread peace, feed others, maintain family ties, pray at night while people are asleep, and you will enter Paradise with peace."  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ أَمْرٍ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمِ الطَّعَامَ وَصِلِ الْأَرْحَامَ وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ ثُمَّ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ  

[Machine] "When the Prophet ﷺ arrived, people surrounded him, and I was among those who were pushing and jostling. When his face became clear, I recognized that his face does not resemble the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was, 'Spread peace, feed the hungry, maintain family ties, and pray while others are sleeping, and you will enter paradise in peace.'"  

لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ انْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنِ انْجَفَلَ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ فَكَانَ أَوَّلُ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ  

[Machine] He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, when I see you, my soul becomes content and my eyes are comforted. Inform me about everything." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Everything was created from water." He then asked, "Inform me about an action that if I do it, I will enter Paradise." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Spread peace, speak kindly, maintain family ties, and pray at night when people are asleep. By doing so, you will enter Paradise in peace."  

أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ قَالَ فَأَنْبِئْنِي بِعَمَلٍ إِنْ عَمِلْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَأَطِبِ الْكَلَامَ وَصِلِ الْأَرْحَامَ وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ  

[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, arrived in Medina, people gathered and said, "The Messenger of Allah has arrived, the Messenger of Allah has arrived." He said, "So I went out with those who went out, and when I saw his face, I recognized that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was, 'O people, spread peace, feed the hungry, maintain family ties, and pray while people are asleep so that you may enter Paradise in peace.'"  

لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ اسْتَشْرَفَهُ النَّاسُ فَقَالُوا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قال فَخَرَجْتُ فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ وَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ»  

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ arrived in Medina, the people gathered around and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has arrived." I went out among those who went out, and when I saw his face, I recognized that his face is not the face of a liar. The first thing I heard him say was, "O people, spread peace, feed the hungry, maintain family ties, and pray while the people are asleep. You shall enter Paradise in peace."  

لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ اسْتَشْرَفَهُ النَّاسُ فَقَالُوا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَخَرَجْتُ فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَا سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ»  

[Machine] I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, inform me about an action that, if I do it, will enter me into paradise?" He said, "Spread peace, feed others, maintain family ties, pray at night while people are asleep, and enter Paradise in peace."  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ أَمْرٍ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ؟ قَالَ «أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمِ الطَّعَامَ وَصِلِ الْأَرْحَامَ وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ وَادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ»

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, when I see you, my soul becomes content and my eyes become soothed. Inform me about everything." He said, "Everything was created from water." I said, "Inform me about an action that, if I do it, will make me enter paradise." He said, "Spread peace, feed the hungry, maintain family ties, pray at night while others are asleep, and enter paradise in peace."  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ «كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ» قَالَ قُلْتُ أَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ أَمْرٍ إِذَا عَمِلْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ «أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمِ الطَّعَامَ وَصِلِ الْأَرْحَامَ وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ ثُمَّ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ»  

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, whenever I see you, my soul becomes content and my eyes become tranquil. Inform me about everything." He said, "Everything was created from water." So, I said, "Tell me something that if I do, I will enter Paradise." He said, "Feed the hungry, spread peace, maintain family ties, and pray during the night while people are asleep. You will enter Paradise in peace."  

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي أَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ «كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ» فَقُلْتُ أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ إِذَا عَمِلْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ «أَطْعِمِ الطَّعَامَ وَأَفْشِ السَّلَامَ وَصِلِ الْأَرْحَامَ وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ»

أَنْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ وَانْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ قَبْلَهُ فَقَالُوا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ فِي النَّاسِ؛ لَأَنْظُرَ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ فَلَمَّا أَنْ رَأَيْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهِ كَذَّابٍ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُ مِنْهُ أَنْ قَالَ يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَأَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ  

"انْحَرْ سَمِينَها، واحْمِل على نَجيبتَها، واحْلِبْ يوْمَ الماءِ تَدْخُلِ الجَنَّة بِسَلام".  

"أفْشِ السَّلام، وأَطعِم الطّعَامَ، وَصِلِ الأرْحَامَ، وَقُمْ بِاللَّيلِ والناسُ نِيامُ، وادْخُلِ الجنَّةَ بِسَلامٍ".  

"أطْعِمِ الطَّعامَ، وأفْشِ السَّلامَ، وصِلِ الأَرْحامَ، وقُمْ باللَّيل والنَّاسُ نيِامٌ، تَدْخل الجنَّةَ بسلامٍ".  

"يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ: أَفْشُوا السَّلامَ، وَأَطْعِموا الطَّعَامَ، وَصِلُوا الأَرحام، وصلُّوا بالليل وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، تَدْخُلوا الجَنَّةَ بِسَلامٍ".  

"يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَطِبْ الكَلَامَ، وَأَطْعِم الطَّعَامَ، وَأَفْشِ السَّلَامَ، وَتَهَجَّدْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، تَدْخُلِ الجَنَّةَ بِسَلامٍ".
