[Machine] A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, will a person be held accountable for what they did in pre-Islamic times?" He replied, "Whoever does good in Islam will not be held accountable for what they did in pre-Islamic times, and whoever does evil in Islam will be held accountable for both the past and present."

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we were people of ignorance and worshipped idols. We used to kill our children. I had a daughter whom I loved dearly, and she was happy whenever I called her. One day, I called her and she followed me. I continued walking until we reached a well not far from my family's home. I took her by the hand and pushed her into the well. Before I did this, I made her promise to say, 'O my father! O my father!' The Prophet ﷺ then cried until his tears stopped. One of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'Did you sadden the Messenger of Allah?' He replied, 'Stop, for he is asking about what concerns him.' Then he said to the man, 'Repeat what you just said.' The man repeated his story, and the Prophet ﷺ cried again until his tears soaked his beard. Then he said to him, 'Verily, Allah has forgiven the people of ignorance for what they have done, so resume your actions accordingly.'"

[Machine] His family sent him with a cup containing butter and milk to their gods. So he asked himself: What prevents me from eating the butter due to fear of its harm? Then a dog came and ate the butter and drank the milk. After that, the man excreted on the idol while the dog was watching. Harun said: In the pre-Islamic era, when a man traveled, he would carry with him four stones. Three for his need and the fourth, he would worship and raise his dog, and he would kill his child.

[Machine] "We were in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance, when we would worship a good stone if we found one, and if we did not find a stone, we would gather a mound of sand. Then we would bring the female camel, the Safiyyah, and be amazed at it. We would milk it onto the mound until we quenched it, and then we would worship that mound, wherever we stood in that place." Abu Muhammad As-Safiyy Al-Kathirah, may Allah have mercy upon him, said that "Fatajj" means when the camel raised its hind legs for milking, and "Fajj" means a wide road, and its plural is "Fijaj."
