The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Soon there will come a time that a man will be reclining on his pillow, and when one of my Ahadith is narrated he will say: 'The Book of Allah is (sufficient) between us and you. Whatever it states is permissible, we will take as permissible, and whatever it states is forbidden, we will take as forbidden.' Verily, whatever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has forbidden is like that which Allah has forbidden." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 12)

[Machine] "The Sunnah is a judge over the Quran, and the Quran is not a judge over the Sunnah."

darimi:608Muḥammad b. Kathīr > al-Awzāʿī > Ḥassān

[Machine] Gabriel used to descend upon the Prophet with the Sunnah (traditions and teachings of the Prophet) just as he descends upon him with the Quran.

darimi:609Muḥammad b. Kathīr > al-Awzāʿī > Makḥūl

[Machine] In English, the translation of the given sentence is: "There are two types of Sunnah; a Sunnah that is obligatory to follow and leaving it is considered a sin, and a Sunnah that is recommended to follow but leaving it is not a matter of concern."

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ, a man said: "In the Book of Allah, what contradicts this?". He replied, "I do not see that I am narrating to you from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while presenting you with a verse from the Book of Allah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had more knowledge of the Book of Allah, the Most High, than you."
