“Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise? Every weak and oppressed one. Shall I not tell you about the people of Hell? Every harsh, haughty and arrogant one.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَلاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعِّفٍ أَلاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ كُلُّ عُتُلٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "When the people of Hell are mentioned, every stubborn, arrogant, obstinate person who opposes and resists will be included."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ عِنْدَ ذِكْرِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ كُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ جَمَّاعٍ مَنَّاعٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not inform you about the people of Paradise? They are the weak, oppressed ones. Shall I not inform you about the people of Hell? Every harsh, arrogant person."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ هُمُ الضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَظْلُومُونَ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ كُلُّ شَدِيدٍ جَعْظَرِيٍّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: "O Suraaqah, shall I not inform you about the people of Paradise and the people of Fire?" He said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "As for the people of Fire, every violent and arrogant oppressor is among them. And as for the people of Paradise, they are the weak ones who have been oppressed."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ يَا سُرَاقَةُ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ فَكُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ

May I not inform you about the inmates of Paradise? (And then informing about them) said: Every meek person who is considered to be humble and if they were to adjure in the name of Allah, Allah would certainly fulfil it. May I not inform you about the inmates of Hell-Fire? They are all proud, mean and haughty. (Using translation from Muslim 2853c)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعَّفٍ لَوْ يُقْسِمُ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ كُلُّ جَوَّاظٍ جَعْظَرِيٍّ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ

“Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise? Every weak and oppressed one. Shall I not tell you about the people of Hell? Every harsh, haughty and arrogant one.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4116)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعَّفٍ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ كُلُّ عُتُلٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not inform you about the people of Paradise? They are the meek and weak. And the people of Hellfire are every haughty, arrogant, and contemptuous person."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ الضُّعَفَاءُ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ كُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ»

[AI] "He recited this verse: 'Preventing good, transgressing and sinful, [He is] crude, and a skeptic thereafter, wicked and arrogant.' So he said, 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "The people of Hellfire are every arrogant, obstinate braggart, while the people of Paradise are the weak, humble ones."'"

أَنَّهُ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {مَنَّاعٍ} [القلم 13] لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ عُتُلٍّ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ زَنِيمٍ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَهْلُ النَّارِ كُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ جَمَّاعٍ وَأَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "O Surāqah, shall I inform you about the people of Paradise and the people of Hell?" So I said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "As for the people of Hell, every arrogant, tyrannical person will be among them. And as for the people of Paradise, they are the weak and oppressed. " Adh-Dhahabi is silent about this in his summary.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ «يَا سُرَاقَةُ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَهْلِ النَّارِ» فَقُلْتُ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ «أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ فَكُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٌ مُسْتَكْبِرٌ وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَالضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

May I not inform you about the inmates of Paradise? قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعِّفٍ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ كُلُّ عُتُلٍّ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ جَوَّاظٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Surqah, shall I not inform you about the people of Paradise and the people of the Fire?" He said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "As for the people of the Fire, every harsh, arrogant and proud person, and as for the people of Paradise, they are the weak and oppressed."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَا سُرَاقَةُ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟» فَقَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ فَكُلُّ جَعْظَرِيٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَالضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I not inform you about the people of Jannah (Paradise)?" I said, "Yes, please." He said, "The weak, oppressed ones."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أُنَبِّئُكَ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟» قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ «الضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ»

"أَهّلُ النَّار كُلُّ جَعْظَرىٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مستكبرٍ، وأَهْلُ الجنَّةِ الضعَفَاءُ الْمُغَلَّبُون" .

"أَهْلُ الجنَّةِ المغلوبون وأَهْل النَّار كُلُّ جَعْظَرىٍّ جَوَّاظ مستكبر" .

"أَهْلُ النار كل جوَّاظٍ عُتُلٍّ مُسْتكْبِرٍ" .

"أَهْلُ النَّار كل جَعْظَرىٍّ جَوَّاظ مُسْتَكْبرٍ جَمَّاعٍ مَنَّاعٍ وَأَهْلُ الجَنَّةِ الضُّعَفَاءُ المَغْلُوبون" .

" يَا سُرَاقَةُ: أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَهْلِ الْجَنَّة وَأَهْلِ النَّارِ؟ أمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ فَكُلُّ جَعْظَرِىٍّ جَوَّاظٍ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ، وَأَمَّا أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ فَالضُّعَفَاءُ الْمَغْلُوبُونَ ".
