[Machine] An Arab came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "We are often in the desert, and we have women who are menstruating, in a state of sexual impurity, and experiencing post-natal bleeding. There are four months when we cannot find water." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Use the sand for purification, meaning perform Tayammum. This hadith is known through the narration of Al-Muthanna ibn As-Sabbaah from Amr, and Al-Muthanna is not considered strong and reliable."

[Machine] He was informed by a man from the companions of the Prophet that the sunnah (practice) in the funeral prayer is for the Imam to start by saying takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) loudly, then quietly recite Surat Al-Fatiha after the first takbeer, silently within himself. Then he should send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , and make a sincere supplication for the deceased during the remaining takbeers. He should not recite anything else during them. Finally, he should silently say tasleem (saying Assalamu Alaykum) within himself. 6960 He said, and Mutarrif ibn Mazen narrated from Ma'mar, who narrated from Al-Zuhri, who said: Muhammad Al-Fihri narrated to me from Dahhak ibn Qays that he said the same as Abu Umamah and so on.

Hudhayfah saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying at night. He said: Allah is most great" three times, "Possessor of kingdom, grandeur, greatness and majesty." He then began (his prayer) and recited Surah al-Baqarah; then he bowed and he paused in bowing as long as he stood up; he said while bowing, "Glory be to my mighty Lord," "Glory be to my mighty Lord" ; then he raised his head, after bowing: then he stood up and he paused as long as he paused in bowing and said, "Praise be to my Lord" ; then he prostrated and paused in prostration as long as he paused in the standing position; he said while prostrating: "Glory be to my most high Lord"; then he raised his head after prostration, and sat as long as he prostrated, and said while sitting: "O my Lord forgive me." He offered four rak'ahs of prayer and recited in them Surah al-Baqarah, Aal Imran, an-Nisa, al-Ma'idah, or al-An'am. The narrator Shu'bah doubted.

He prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night and he heard him say when he said the takbir: "Allahu Akbara dhal-jabaruti wal-malakuti wal-kibriya'i wal-'azamah (Allah is Most Great, the One Who has all power, sovereignty, magnificence and might.)" When bowing he would say: "Subhana Rabbial-'Azim (Glory be to my Lord Almighty)." When he raised his head from bowing he would say: "Lirabbil-hamd, Lirabbil-hamd (To my Lord be praise, to my Lord be praise)." And when he prostrated (he said): "Subhana Rabbial-A'la (Glory be to my Lord Most High)." And between the two prostrations (he said): "Rabbighfirli, Rabbighfirli (Lord forgive me, Lord forgive me)." His standing, his bowing, when he raised his head from bowing, his prostration and the time between the two prostrations, were almost the same.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ayyub ibn Musa from Mansur ibn Abd ar-Rahman al-Hajabi from his mother that A'isha, umm al- muminin, may Allah be pleased with her, was asked about a man who devoted his property to the door of Kaba. She said, "Let him do kaffara for it with the kaffara of the oath." Malik said, that someone who devoted all his property in the way of Allah, and then broke his oath, should put a third of his property in the way of Allah, as that was what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did in the case of Abu Lubaba.
