«سُهَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو يُكَنَّى أَبَا يَزِيدَ»
[Machine] "Bilal ibn Rabah, nicknamed Abu Amr, and Umm Bilal, known as Hamama, reached the age of sixty-seven. They were buried near the small gate in the cemetery of Damascus."
«بِلَالُ بْنُ رَبَاحٍ أَبُو عَمْرٍو وَأُمُّ بِلَالٍ حَمَامَةُ بَلَغَ سَبْعًا وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً وَدُفِنَ عِنْدَ الْبَابِ الصَّغِيرِ فِي مَقْبَرَةِ دِمَشْقَ»
[Machine] "Saeed bin Amir bin Hizyam bin Salaman bin Rabia bin Saad bin Jumah, and Umar appointed him as a leader of some troops in Syria. He died while still performing his duties in Syria in the year twenty."
«سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ حِذْيَمِ بْنِ سَلَامَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ جُمَحٍ وَكَانَ وَلَّاهُ عُمَرُ بَعْضَ أَجْنَادِ الشَّامِ فَمَاتَ وَهُوَ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ بِالشَّامِ سَنَةَ عِشْرِينَ»
[Machine] "Abu Yahya Usaid ibn Hudayr died in the year twenty. He had witnessed the Battle of Uhud and was appointed as a military commander by Umar ibn al-Khattab in Medina. He was buried in al-Baqi Cemetery. He had two nicknames, Abu Yahya and Abu Hudayr. His father was Hudayr al-Katib. Usaid did not have any offspring."
«مَاتَ أَبُو يَحْيَى أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ سَنَةَ عِشْرِينَ وَكَانَ قَدْ شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ ثُمَّ كَانَ نَقِيبًا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَلَهُ كُنْيَتَانِ أَبُو يَحْيَى وَأَبُو حُضَيْرٍ وَأَبُوهُ حُضَيْرُ الْكَاتِبُ وَلَمْ يُعْقِبْ أُسَيْدٌ»
[Machine] He used to recite on the back of his house and he had a beautiful voice. He said, "While I was reciting, something like a cloud covered me. The woman in the house and the horse in the stable scared me, thinking that the woman might fall. So, I became afraid and went to relieve her of her fear. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Continue your recitation, for it was an Angel who was listening to your recitation."
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَيْتِهِ وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الصَّوْتِ قَالَ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أَقْرَأُ إِذْ غَشِيَنِي شَيْءٌ كَالسَّحَابِ وَالْمَرْأَةُ فِي الْبَيْتِ وَالْفَرَسُ فِي الدَّارِ فَتَخَوَّفْتُ أَنْ تَسْقُطَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَانْصَرَفْتُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اقْرَأْ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مَلَكٌ اسْتَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ»
[Machine] "The light sea: 'Ayyad, and 'Ayyad ibn Ghannam, was among the best of what women gave birth to. He was the first to journey to Rome."
[البحر الخفيف] عِيَاضٌ وَمَا عِيَاضُ بْنُ غَنْمٍ كَانَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا أَجَنَّ النِّسَاءَ هُوَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ أَجَازَ الدَّرْبَ إِلَى الرُّومِ
[Machine] "Aiyaadh ibn Ghanm died at the age of twenty."
«مَاتَ عِيَاضُ بْنُ غَنْمٍ سَنَةَ عِشْرِينَ»
[Machine] Because he came from Hadhramaut and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used him on Bahrain, then Umar also used him on Bahrain and died there, so Abu Huraira Al-Dawsi used him in his place. And it was only Al-Ala' bin Al-Hadhrami who died in Bahrain in the year twenty-one.
لِأَنَّهُ أَتَى مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ عُمَرَ اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَتُوُفِّيَ بِهَا فَاسْتَعْمَلَ مَكَانَهُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ الدَّوْسِيَّ وَإِنَّمَا تُوُفِّيَ الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ بِالْبَحْرَيْنِ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ»
[Machine] "Mohammed, the son of Al-Aswad, the son of Khalaf, the son of Abd Yaghoth Al-Qurashi, his ancestry traces back to the people of Makkah."
«مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ خَلَفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ يَغُوثَ الْقُرَشِيُّ عِدَادُهُ فِي الْمَكِّيِّينَ»
[Machine] I heard Yahya ibn Bukayr saying, "Khalid ibn al-Walid is also known as Abu Suleiman."
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ بُكَيْرٍ يَقُولُ «خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ»
[Machine] "Kan Haatib ibn Abi Balta'ah yukannaa Aba Muhammad."
Translation: "Haatib ibn Abi Balta'ah used to be referred to as Abu Muhammad."
«كَانَ حَاطِبُ بْنُ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ»
[Machine] I heard Yahya ibn Bukayr saying, "Hattib ibn Abi Balta'ah passed away in the year thirty, and Uthman ibn Affan prayed the funeral prayer for him. He was also known as Abu Muhammad."
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ بُكَيْرٍ يَقُولُ «تُوُفِّيَ حَاطِبُ بْنُ أَبِي بَلْتَعَةَ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثِينَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ وَكَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ»
[Machine] "Ubayy ibn Ka'b died during the caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab in the year twenty-two."
«مَاتَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ»
[Machine] And Ubayy died during the caliphate of Umar in the twenty-second year.
«وَمَاتَ أُبَيٌّ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ»
[Machine] Muhammad ibn Umar narrated and mentioned the lineage in his manner and added that he witnessed the Battle of Uhud with the seventy Ansar. He used to write down the revelations for the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. There was a difference of opinion regarding the time of his death. It was said that he died during the caliphate of Umar in the year twenty-two, while others said he died during the caliphate of Uthman in the year thirty. This confirms the statements that Uthman ordered the compilation of the Quran.
ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ فَذَكَرَ النَّسَبَ بِنَحْوِهِ وَزَادَ وَشَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ فِي السَّبْعِينَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ «وَكَانَ يَكْتُبُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْوَحْيَ وَقَدِ اخْتُلِفَ فِي وَقْتِ وَفَاتِهِ فَقِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَاتَ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ وَقِيلَ مَاتَ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُثْمَانَ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثِينَ وَهَذَا أَثْبَتُ الْأَقَاوِيلِ بِأَنَّ عُثْمَانَ أَمَرَهُ بِأَنْ يَجْمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ»
[Machine] Ubayy ibn Ka'b died during the caliphate of Uthman in the year 32 of the caliphate.
«مَاتَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ فِي خِلَافَةِ عُثْمَانَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ الْخِلَافُ ظَاهِرٌ فِي وَقْتِ وَفَاةِ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ»
[Machine] She had fierceness in her character.
«كَانَتْ فِي أُبَيٍّ شَرَاسَةٌ»
[Machine] Abdul Rahman ibn Awf died and was also known as Abu Muhammad in the year 32 and he was 75 years old.
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَيُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً»
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I advise you to wear this white garment and shroud your deceased in it."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الْبَيَاضِ لِيَلْبَسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ»
"Shubrum" He said: "It is hot and too strong." She said:"Then I used Senna as a laxative." So the Prophet ﷺ said: "If there was anything that would have a cure for death in it, then it would have been Senna." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2081)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَأَلَهَا «بِمَاذَا تَسْتَمْشِينَ؟» قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَسْتَمْشِي بِالشُّبْرُمِ قَالَ «حَارٌّ حَارٌّ» قَالَتْ ثُمَّ اسْتَمْشَيْتُ بِالسَّنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوْ أَنَّ شَيْئًا كَانَ فِيهِ الشِّفَاءُ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ لَكَانَ السَّنَا»
[Machine] "Awf bin Malik al-Ashja'i witnessed the battle of Khaybar with the Muslims, and he had with him the banner of al-Ashja' on the day of the conquest of Mecca. Then Awf went to Syria during the caliphate of Abu Bakr and settled in Hims, where he remained until the beginning of the caliphate of Abd al-Malik bin Marwan. He died in the year seventy-three and was known by the nickname Abu Amr."
«عَوْفُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ شَهِدَ خَيْبَرَ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَكَانَتْ مَعَهُ رَايَةُ أَشْجَعَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ ثُمَّ تَحَوَّلَ عَوْفٌ إِلَى الشَّامِ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَنَزَلَ حِمْصَ وَبَقِيَ إِلَى أَوَّلِ خِلَافَةِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ ثُمَّ مَاتَ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ وَكَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَمْرٍو»
[Machine] The first born after the migration was Abdullah, the son of Al-Zubair, the son of Al-Awwam, the son of Khawlid, the son of Asad, the son of Abdul Aziz. His mother is Asma bint Abi Bakr As-Siddiq, and her mother is Qaylah bint Abdul Aziz, the daughter of Abdul Asad, the son of Nasr, the son of Malik, the son of Hissl, the son of Amir. Abdullah was also called Abu Bakr.
«أَوَّلُ مَوْلُودٍ وُلِدَ بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ بْنِ خُوَيْلِدِ بْنِ أَسَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى وَأُمُّهُ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ وَأُمُّهَا قَيْلَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى بْنِ عَبْدِ أَسَدِ بْنِ نَصْرِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ حِسْلِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا بَكْرٍ»
[Machine] "And it is said that he was buried in a trap in the cemetery of the immigrants. He was buried in the year seventy-four, on the day his son died, at the age of eighty-four years."
وَيُقَالُ دُفِنَ بِفَخٍّ فِي مَقْبَرَةِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ دُفِنَ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ وَهُوَ يَوْمَ مَاتَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعٍ وَثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً»
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Umar came from Basra to Fars, as a conqueror, and he died in Mecca in the year seventy-four.
«قَدِمَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْبَصْرَةَ وَإِلَى فَارِسَ غَازِيًا قَدِمَهَا وَمَاتَ بِمَكَّةَ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ»
[Machine] "Rafi' bin Khadeej, al-Haarithi, who was also known as Abu Abdullah, passed away in Madinah in the year seventy-four."
«تُوُفِّيَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ»
[Machine] "Wasalamah bin Al-Akwa was also known as Abu Sinan. He passed away in the city in the year seventy-four."
«وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْأَكْوَعِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا سِنَانٍ تُوُفِّيَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ»
[Machine] "Malik bin Sinan bin Tha'laba bin 'Ubaid bin Al-Abjar, and his name is Khudrah bin 'Auf, and he is the father of Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, Sa'd bin Malik."
«مَالِكُ بْنُ سِنَانِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ الْأَبْجَرِ وَاسْمُهُ خُدْرَةُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ»
[Machine] "And Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Sa'd ibn Malik ibn Sinan ibn Tha'laba ibn 'Ubayd ibn al-Abjar, and his name was Khudra ibn 'Awf ibn al-Khazraj, and Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man was his maternal uncle. Abu Sa'id al-Khudri passed away in the year seventy-four."
«وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ الْخُدْرِيُّ سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ سِنَانِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ الْأَبْجَرِ وَاسْمُهُ خُدْرَةُ بْنُ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ وَكَانَ قَتَادَةَ بْنَ النُّعْمَانِ أَخُوهُ لِأُمِّهِ وَتُوُفِّيَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَسَبْعِينَ»
[Machine] "Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani, known as Abu Abdul Rahman, died in the city in the year eighty-seven, at the age of eighty-five."
«زَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَاتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَسَبْعِينَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَثَمَانِينَ»
[Machine] Ziyad entered upon Abdullah Ibn Ja'far speaking in five paragraphs. He gave him and he started saying, "We asked him a great deal and he gave us more than what we desired and increased it and improved it, then improved it again, then we returned and he improved it again, and I continued to go back to him repeatedly. I do not return to this world except that he smiled at me in amusement and folded the pillow." Al-Bukhari and Muslim agreed upon hearing Abdullah Ibn Ja'far Ibn Abu Talib from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was ten years old, and I remember by the will of Allah, in this place stating what they agreed upon with their chains of narrators.
دَخَلَ زِيَادٌ الْأَعْجَمُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ فِي خَمْسِ دِيَاتٍ فَأَعْطَاهُ فَأَنْشَأَ يَقُولُ « [البحر الوافر] سَأَلْنَاهُ الْجَزِيلُ فَمَا تَلَكَّا وَأَعْطَى فَوْقَ مَنِيَّتَنَا وَزَادَا وَأَحْسَنَ ثُمَّ أَحْسَنَ ثُمَّ عُدْنَا فَأَحْسَنَ ثُمَّ عُدْتُ لَهُ فَعَادَا مِرَارًا مَا أَعُودُ الدَّهْرَ إِلَّا تَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا وَثَنَى الْوِسَادَا» قَدِ اتَّفَقَ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ عَلَى سَمَاعِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ وَأَنَا ذَاكِرٌ بِمَشِيئَةِ اللَّهِ ﷻ فِي هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ بَيَانَ مَا اتَّفَقَا عَلَيْهِ بِأَسَانِيدِهِمَا
[Machine] "Wathila ibn al-Asqa' is known as Abu Qirsaftah. He had a house in Basra and it was said that his nickname was Abu Shaddad."
«وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْقَعِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا قِرْصَافَةَ لَهُ دَارٌ بِالْبَصْرَةِ وَقَدْ قِيلَ كُنْيَتُهُ أَبُو شَدَّادٍ»
[Machine] I heard Yahya ibn Ma'in saying, "Wathila ibn al-Asqa died in the year eighty-three, at the age of one hundred and five years."
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ «تُوُفِّيَ وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْقَعِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَمَانِينَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ وَخَمْسِ سِنِينَ»
[Machine] I heard Abu Nuaym saying, "Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa died in the year eighty-seven or eighty-eight."
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نُعَيْمٍ يَقُولُ «مَاتَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ أَوْ ثَمَانٍ وَثَمَانِينَ»
[Machine] I heard Abu Nuaym saying, "Sahl ibn Saad al-Saadi died in the year eighty-eight."
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نُعَيْمٍ يَقُولُ «مَاتَ سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَثَمَانِينَ»
[Machine] I said to Sahl ibn Saad al-Sa'idi, "O father of Abbas."
قُلْتُ لِسَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ يَا أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ
[Machine] Saad bin Sa'd Al-Saedi, also known as Abu Al-Abbas in Al-Madinah, died in the year ninety-one (AH). He was the last companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to pass away in Al-Madinah at the age of one hundred.
«مَاتَ سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَتِسْعِينَ وَهُوَ آخِرُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ»
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Abi Hadrad al-Aslami, also known as Abu Muhammad, died in the year seventy-one when he was eighty-one years old. The name of his father was Salamah, and he belonged to the Banu Rifaa'ah clan from Aslam.
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَسَبْعِينَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِحْدَى وَثَمَانِينَ وَاسْمُ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ سَلَامَةُ وَهُوَ مِنْ بَنِي رِفَاعَةَ بَطْنٍ مِنْ أَسْلَمَ»
[Machine] "Anas ibn Malik ibn al-Nadr ibn Dammad ibn Zaid ibn Haram ibn Jundub ibn 'Amir ibn Ghanm ibn 'Adi ibn al-Najjar, and his mother Um Sulaim bint Milhan."
«أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَرَامِ بْنِ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ غَنْمِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ وَأُمُّهُ أُمُّ سُلَيْمِ بِنْتُ مِلْحَانَ»
[Machine] Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari died in the year fifty-two when he was sixty-three years old.
«مَاتَ أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَخَمْسِينَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً»
[Machine] I heard Yahya bin Ma'een saying, "The name of my father, Musa al-Ash'ari, is Abdullah bin Qais."
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ «اسْمُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ»
[Machine] "Hujr bin Adi Al-Kindi, also known as Abu Abdurrahman, was a companion of the Prophet ﷺ . He participated in the battles of Qadisiyyah and Jamal, and was also present alongside Ali. He was later killed by Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan in a place called Marj Adhra. Hujr had two sons, Abdullah and Abdulrahman, both of whom were killed by Mus'ab bin Zubair. حُجْرُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْكِنْدِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ كَانَ قَدْ وَفَدَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَشَهِدَ الْقَادِسِيَّةَ وَشَهِدَ الْجَمَلَ وَصِفِّينَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ قَتَلَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبَى سُفْيَانَ بِمَرْجِ عَذْرَاءَ وَكَانَ لَهُ ابْنَانِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَتَلَهُمَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ صَبْرًا وَقُتِلَ حُجْرٌ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَخَمْسِينَ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
[Machine] I heard Ibrahim ibn Ya'qub saying, "Hudhur ibn 'Adiyy lived during the era of ignorance (pre-Islamic era) and he consumed blood while doing so. Then he accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and heard from him, and witnessed battles alongside 'Ali ibn Abi Talib; such as the battles of Jamala and Siffin. He was killed in the allegiance to Ali."
سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ يَقُولُ «قَدْ أَدْرَكَ حُجْرُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْجَاهِلِيَّةَ وَأَكَلَ الدَّمَ فِيهَا ثُمَّ صَحِبَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَسَمِعَ مِنْهُ وَشَهِدَ مَعَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ الْجَمَلَ وَصِفِّينَ وَقُتِلَ فِي مُوَالَاةِ عَلِيٍّ»
[Machine] "Abu Nujaid Imran, the son of Al-Husayn, the son of Khalaf, the son of Abd Nahim Al-Khuzai, died in Basra in the year fifty-two."
«مَاتَ أَبُو نُجَيْدٍ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ بْنِ خَلَفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ نَهِمٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَخَمْسِينَ»
[Machine] "Abdul Rahman ibn Abu Bakr was known as Abu Abdullah, and it was also said Abu Muhammad. His mother was Umm Aisha, Umm Roman bint Amr ibn Uwaimir ibn Abd Shams ibn Abdimanaf. Umm Roman accepted Islam and her Islam was good."
كَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَقِيلَ أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَأُمُّهُ أُمُّ عَائِشَةَ أُمُّ رُومَانَ بِنْتُ عَامِرِ بْنِ عُوَيْمِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ مَنَافٍ أَسْلَمَتْ أُمُّ رُومَانَ وَحَسُنَ إِسْلَامُهَا
[Machine] "Abdul Rahman ibn Abu Bakr died suddenly, his nickname was Abu Abdullah. He died in the year fifty-three."
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فُجَاءَةَ وَكُنْيَتُهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَاتَ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَخَمْسِينَ»
[Machine] "Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Bakr as-Siddiq died suddenly."
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فُجَاءَةً»
[Machine] "Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Bakr died in the year fifty-three and witnessed the battle of Al-Jamal with his sister Aisha. He traveled to Ibn Aamir in Basra."
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَشَهِدَ الْجَمَلَ مَعَ أُخْتِهِ عَائِشَةَ وَقَدِمَ عَلَى ابْنِ عَامِرٍ الْبَصْرَةَ»
[Machine] "Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr passed away in the same year that Fatima passed away after the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فِي السَّنَةِ الَّتِي مَاتَتْ فِيهَا فَاطِمَةُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
[Machine] He is called the drinker of gold. His mother is Hind bint Al-Harith from the tribe of Bani Ghanim bin Malik bin 'Abd Manat bin 'Ali bin Lubanah. He came as an immigrant to Basra and died there.
يُقَالُ لَهُ شَارِبُ الذَّهَبِ أُمُّهُ هِنْدُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ مِنْ بَنِي غَنْمِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَاةَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ لُبَانَةَ أَتَى الْمُهَاجِرَ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ وَمَاتَ بِهَا
[Machine] I heard Yahya ibn Ma'een say, "The two garments of the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ are Abu Abdullah."
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ «ثَوْبَانُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ هُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ»
