[Machine] I heard Yahya ibn Ma'een say, "The two garments of the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ are Abu Abdullah."  

الحاكم:٦٠٣٤ – سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيَّ

سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ «ثَوْبَانُ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ هُوَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ»

[Machine] I heard Yahya ibn Ma'in saying, "The name of Abdullah ibn Salam al-Husayn was before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ named him Abdullah."  

الحاكم:٥٧٥١ – سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيَّ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ كَانَ اسْمُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ الْحُصَيْنَ «فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ»

سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ «أَبُو وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَوْفُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ»
