[Machine] "Abu Yahya Usaid ibn Hudayr died in the year twenty. He had witnessed the Battle of Uhud and was appointed as a military commander by Umar ibn al-Khattab in Medina. He was buried in al-Baqi Cemetery. He had two nicknames, Abu Yahya and Abu Hudayr. His father was Hudayr al-Katib. Usaid did not have any offspring."  

الحاكم:٥٢٥٧أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ

«مَاتَ أَبُو يَحْيَى أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ سَنَةَ عِشْرِينَ وَكَانَ قَدْ شَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ ثُمَّ كَانَ نَقِيبًا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَلَهُ كُنْيَتَانِ أَبُو يَحْيَى وَأَبُو حُضَيْرٍ وَأَبُوهُ حُضَيْرُ الْكَاتِبُ وَلَمْ يُعْقِبْ أُسَيْدٌ»
