The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no marriage without the permission of a guardian. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Yunus also transmitted on the authority of Abu Burdah, and Isra'il narrated from Abu Ishaq on the authority of Abu Burdah.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ نِكَاحَ إِلاَّ بِوَلِيٍّ

the Messenger of Allah said: “There is no marriage except with a guardian.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ نِكَاحَ إِلاَّ بِوَلِيٍّ

لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ مُرْشِدٍ وَشَاهِدَيْ عَدْلٍ

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍّ وَشَاهِدَينِ".

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍّ، وَالسُّلطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لا وَلِيَّ لَهُ".

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍّ، فَإنْ تَشَاجَرُوا فَالسُّلطَانُ وَليُّ مَنْ لا وَليَّ لَهُ".

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍّ وَشَاهِدَىْ عَدْلٍ، والسُّلطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لا وَلِيَّ لَهُ".

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بَوَلِيٍّ وَشَاهِدَىْ عَدْلٍ".

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍ، فَإنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَلِيٌّ فَاشْتَجَرُوا فَالسُّلطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لا وَلِيَّ لَهُ".

"لا نِكَاحَ إِلا بِوَلِيٍّ وَشَاهِدَىْ عَدْلٍ، وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ نِكَاحٍ عَلى غَيرِ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ بَاطِلٌ، فَإِنْ تَشَاجَرُوا فَالسُّلْطَانُ وَلِيُّ مَنْ لا وَلِيَّ لَهُ".

"لَا يَحِلُّ نِكَاحٌ إلا بوَلِيٍّ، وَصَدَاقٍ، وَشَاهِدَىْ عَدْلٍ".

"عَنْ عُمَر قال: لا نكاحَ إلا بِوَلى وشاهِدَى عَدْلٍ".
