nasai-kubra:4928 – ʿUbaydullāh b. Saʿīd > Yaḥyá > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever sets free a partner (slave) that he owns, then he has freed all of him. And if the one he set free has a share of wealth that is equivalent to its value, then it is upon him (the owner) to free him." Yahya said, "Without a doubt, this is what he said."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٤٩٢٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ» قَالَ كَذَا قَالَ يَحْيَى بِلَا شَكٍّ

muslim:1501d – Ibn Numayr from my father > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

He who emancipates his share in the slave, it is his responsibility to secure full freedom for him provided he (the slave) has enough money to pay the (remaining) price, but it he has not so much money he would be emancipated to the extent that the first man emancipated.  

مسلم:١٥٠١d – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ  

abudawud:3943 – Ibrāhīm b. Mūsá al-Rāzī > ʿĪsá b. Yūnus > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

If anyone emancipates his share in a slave, he should emancipate him completely if he has enough money to pay the full price ; but if he has none, he will be emancipated to the extent of his share.  

أبو داود:٣٩٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الرَّازِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ لَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ نَصِيبُهُ  

tirmidhi:1347 – Bidhalik al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Khalāal al-Ḥulwānī > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > Sālim from his father

"Whoever frees a portion of a slave he owns, then he can afford the remainder of the price, then he should free him with his wealth."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:١٣٤٧ – حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَكَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَهُوَ عَتِيقٌ مِنْ مَالِهِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ
ahmad:6279 – Ibn Numayr And Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] "From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: Whoever frees a slave that belongs to him must free him completely, if he has the means to pay his value. But if he does not have the means, then he should free him according to what he can free."  

أحمد:٦٢٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ قُوِّمَ [عَلَيْهِ] قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ  

ahmad:5150 – Yaḥyá > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] "Whoever frees a partner he has in a slave, he has freed all of him. And if the one who is freed has a share of wealth that is worth his value, then he is obligated to free all of him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ لِلَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ  

bayhaqi:21344 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > Abū ʿAbdullāh Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb al-Shaybānī Imlāʾ > Ibrāhīm b. ʿAbdullāh al-Saʿdī > Yazīd b. Hārūn > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a slave that he owns and the slave owner has his share of the price, then he has freed them both completely according to what is stated in the authentic narration."  

البيهقي:٢١٣٤٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ إِمْلَاءً ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ السَّعْدِيُّ أنبأ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ وَكَانَ لِلَّذِي يُعْتِقُ مِنْهُمَا نَصِيبُهُ مَبْلَغَ ثَمَنِهِ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلَّهُ أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ
