[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever emancipates a portion from his slave's share, his slave will be freed from his own wealth if he possesses any."

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ عُتِقَ مِنْ مَالِهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ

If anyone emancipates his share in a slave, he emancipates him (completely) by his property if he has property. The narrator Ibn al-Muthanna did not mention al-Nadr b. Anas. This is the version of Ibn Suwaid.  

أبو داود:٣٩٣٦حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ عَتَقَ مِنْ مَالِهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى النَّضْرَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ وَهَذَا لَفْظُ ابْنِ سُوَيْدٍ

If anyone emancipates his share in a slave, he should emancipate him completely if he has enough money to pay the full price ; but if he has none, he will be emancipated to the extent of his share.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ لَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ نَصِيبُهُ  

tirmidhi:1347Bidhalik al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Khalāal al-Ḥulwānī > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > Sālim from his father

"Whoever frees a portion of a slave he owns, then he can afford the remainder of the price, then he should free him with his wealth."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ṣaḥīḥ.

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever sets free his share of a slave, and he has sufficient wealth to set him free completely by paying the price of the slave, then he should set him free with his own wealth."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4699)
