18. Emancipation of Slaves (1/4)
I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He who emancipates a believing slave. Allah will set free from Fire his every limb for every limb of his (slave's), even his private parts for his. (Using translation from Muslim 1509c)
If anyone emancipates a Muslim slave, Allah will set free from Hell an organ of his body for every organ of his (slave's) body. (Using translation from Muslim 1509a)
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever among Muslims frees a Muslim, his reward for freeing him will be that for every limb of the freed person, a limb of him will be freed from Hellfire."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a slave and Allah protects him with every organ from the organs of the slave, a part of him will be protected from the fire."
[Machine] To his sons, Abdullah, Bilal, and others: "O my sons, shall I not tell you a hadith that my father narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Whoever frees a slave, Allah will free from Hellfire for every limb of the slave, a limb from the Fire."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah (May ﷺ ) say, "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will make every bone from his bones a bone from the fire. And whoever emancipates a female Muslim slave, Allah will make every bone from her bones a bone from the fire."
[Machine] I asked the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , which night is the most heard (by Allah)? He replied, "The last third of the night." He also used to say, "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, his freedom from the Fire will be to free each limb of the slave with a limb (of his own body), and whoever frees a Muslim woman slave, his freedom from the Fire will be to free each limb of her with a limb (of his own body)."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it will be his ransom from the Hellfire, limb by limb. And whoever frees two Muslim slave women, it will be his ransom from the Hellfire, two limbs by two limbs. And whoever frees a Muslim woman, it will be her ransom from the Hellfire, limb by limb."
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , "Whoever emancipates a slave, his emancipation shall be his redemption from the Fire."
I said to Ka'b bin Murrah, tell us a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but be careful. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Whoever frees a Muslim man, he will be his ransom from the Fire; each of his bones will suffice (as a ransom) for each of his bones. Whoever frees two Muslim women, they will be his ransom from the Fire; each of their two bones will suffice (as a ransom) for each of his bones.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2522)
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If anyone emancipates a Muslim slave, that will be his ransom from Jahannam. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3966)
18.2 [Machine] Discussing the Differences Regarding Sulaym ibn Aamir
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If anyone emancipates a Muslim slave, that will be his ransom from Jahannam. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3966)
[Machine] Narrated from the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , a complete and unforgetful hadith: "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Amr ibn Abasa, there is no man who sets free a believing slave except that for every limb of his, there is a limb of his saved from the Fire. I have surely heard this more than once."
I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He who emancipates a believing slave. Allah will set free from Fire his every limb for every limb of his (slave's), even his private parts for his. (Using translation from Muslim 1509c)
18.3 [Machine] Mentioning the Name of this Master
[Machine] About the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , said: "Is there any increase or decrease in it?" He said, "Yes, I heard the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , saying: 'Whoever frees a slave, Allah will free for every organ of his from the Fire a counterpart organ.'"
[Machine] "And he said, 'Verily, one of you may hang the Quran in his house, looking at it from morning till evening, without reciting a single verse from it.' He said, 'Then he turned towards the people and started to talk to them.' He said, 'So I said to him, 'Tell us, may Allah bless you.' He said, 'We were with the Messenger of Allah during the Battle of Tabuk, and some people of Bani Sulaim approached and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, our companion has committed something that requires him to free a slave.' He said, 'Let him free him, for every bodily organ will likewise have its part in the Fire.'
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ received a group of people from the tribe of Bani Sulaim. They said, "We have a companion who has made a vow." He replied, "Then let him free a slave." Allah will replace every part of his body with a part from the Hellfire if he does not do so.
[Machine] We were with the Prophet ﷺ in the Battle of Tabuk when a group of Bani Sulaym came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, our companion has made a vow." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Free a slave on his behalf, for Allah will free him from every limb of that slave, a limb from the Fire."
18.4 [Machine] The importance of liberation in healthcare
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The one who frees a slave at the time of his death, is like one who guides after being satisfied.'"
18.5 [Machine] Which of the necks is the best?
[Machine] He informed him that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, which deed is best?" He said: "Belief in Allah and Jihad in His cause." He said: "Which slaves are best?" He said: "The most expensive and valuable among them to their owners."
[Machine] He asked the Prophet ﷺ, "Which action is best?" He replied, "Faith in Allah and striving in the cause of Allah." He then asked, "Which slaves are best?" He said, "The most expensive of them and the dearest to their families."
A son does not repay what he owes to his father unless he buys him and emancipates him if he finds him in slavery. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 5137)
18.6 [Machine] Who Controls the Forbidden Womb
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever possesses a womb that is forbidden, should set it free." Abu Abdurrahman said to us, "We do not know of anyone who narrated this Hadith from Sufyan except for this silent (narrator), and it is a rejected Hadith, and Allah knows best."

[Machine] "Whoever has control over a relative's life is free." Qatada used to abide by this, and it has been narrated from Qatada that Al-Hasan and Jabir ibn Zaid said, "Whoever has control over a relative's life is free."

[Machine] "Whoever possesses a prohibited possession, it is free for him to use." The wording is from Amr 4888. Amr bin Ali told us, on the authority of Abdulrahman, who said that Abu Awana narrated to us from Al-Hakam, who said that Umar said, "It is the same for him."

18.8 [Machine] Liberation of the child of adultery
[Machine] On the authority of Maymunah, the freed slave of the Prophet ﷺ , it was narrated that the Prophet was asked about the child of adultery, and he said, "There is no good in him; he is like two sandals that I would strive or equip myself with, but it is dearer to me than to set free the child of adultery."
18.9 [Machine] What was mentioned in the illegitimate offspring and the mentioning of differences among narrators regarding the news of Abdullah ibn Amr in that?
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "No disobedient person, nor a person who cuts off the ties of kinship, nor a child born out of wedlock, nor an alcoholic will enter Paradise."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "No disobedient person, no miser, no habitual drinker, and no child born out of wedlock will enter Paradise."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A habitual drinker of wine, a usurper of people's property, and one who cuts off the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise, nor will a person who disrespects his parents or a child born out of wedlock."
[Machine] "He who is ungrateful, disobedient to his parents, and has a child born out of wedlock, will not enter paradise."
[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "No one who is a munafiq (hypocrite) or an oppressor or the child of adultery will enter Paradise." Zaidah disagreed with this statement, so Sālim ibn Abī Al-Ja'd and Mujāhid narrated from Abi Sa'id without mentioning the child of adultery in it.

“No one who is addicted to wine will enter Paradise.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3376)
[Machine] I heard Abu Huraira say, "There are four types of people who will not enter Paradise: the one who disobeys his parents, the one who is addicted to alcohol, the one who is ungrateful, and the child of adultery." And it has been narrated by Abdul Karim from Mujahid, who said, "He replaced the term 'child of adultery' with 'an Arab who turns back on his religion after emigrating.'"
[Machine] "He who is disobedient, ungrateful, addicted to alcohol, or returns to his pre-Islamic customs after migration cannot enter Paradise."
18.11 [Machine] The mention of variation in the narration of Abu Hurayrah about the child born from adultery.

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, "No child of adultery will enter Paradise."
[Machine] Narrated by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , two hadiths have been reported. One of them claims that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No child of adultery will enter Paradise."
[Machine] "He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The child of adultery will not enter Paradise.'"
