[Machine] "Whoever has control over a relative's life is free." Qatada used to abide by this, and it has been narrated from Qatada that Al-Hasan and Jabir ibn Zaid said, "Whoever has control over a relative's life is free."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٤٨٨٣أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ

«مَنْ مَلَكَ ذَا رَحِمٍ مَحْرَمٍ فَهُوَ حُرٌّ» وَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَأْخُذُ بِهِ وَعَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَجَابِرَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ قَالَا «مَنْ مَلَكَ ذَا رَحِمٍ فَهُوَ حُرٌّ»
