The Prophet ﷺ said: the similitude of a man who emancipates a slave at the time of his death is like that of a man who gives a present after satisfying his appetite.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعْتِقُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُهْدِي إِذَا شَبِعَ

[AI] About a man who donated money in the way of Allah, Abu Darda said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The example of the person who gives charity at the time of his death or frees a slave is like the one who gives a gift after being satisfied with his meal."

عَنْ رَجُلٍ جَعَلَ دَرَاهِمَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَتَصَدَّقُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ أَوْ يُعْتِقُ كَالَّذِي يُهْدِي بَعْدَمَا شَبِعَ»

[AI] I met Abu Darda and he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The example of the one who gives in charity at the time of death is like the example of the one who seeks guidance when he is full.'"

عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعْتِقُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُهْدِي إِذَا شَبِعَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The example of the person who gives charity at the time of his death is like the one who donates after he has been fully satisfied."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَتَصَدَّقُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُهْدِي بَعْدَمَا يَشْبَعُ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The likeness of one who gives charity or frees a slave at the time of death is like the one who gives gifts after having his fill."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَتَصَدَّقُ أَوْ يُعْتِقُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ مَثَلُ الَّذِي يُهْدِي بَعْدَ مَا يَشْبَعُ

"الَّذِي يُعْتِقُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُهْدِى إِذَا شَبِعَ" .

"مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعْتِقُ أَوْ يَتَصَدَّقُ عند الْموْتِ، كمثل الَّذِي يُهْدِى إِذَا شَبِعَ".
