If anyone emancipates his share ina slave and has enough money to pay the full price for him, a fair price for the slave should be fixed, his partners given their shares, and the slave be thus emancipated, otherwise he is emancipated only to the extent of the first man's share. (Using translation from Muslim 1501a)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٤٩٣٧الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَكَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةُ الْعَبْدِ فَأُعْطِيَ شُرَكَاؤُهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَعُتِقَ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ عُتِقَ مِنْهُ مَا عُتِقَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever manumits his share o a jointly possessed slave, it is imperative on him to manumit the slave completely if he has sufficient money to pay the rest of its price which is to be estimated justly. He should pay his partners their shares and release him (the freed one).

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever frees his share of a common slave and he has sufficient money to free him completely, should let its price be estimated by a just man and give his partners the price of their shares and manumit the slave; otherwise (i.e. if he has not sufficient money) he manumits the slave partially."

The Prophet ﷺ said, "If one manumits his share of a common slave (Abd), and he has money sufficient to free the remaining portion of the price of the slave (justly estimated), then he should free the slave completely by paying the rest of his price; otherwise the slave is freed partly. "

“Whoever frees his share of a slave, the price of the slave should be fairly evaluated, and he (the partner who initiated this process) should free him (in full, by giving the rest of his price to the other co-owners), if he has enough wealth to do so. Otherwise, he will have freed whatever he freed.”  

ابن ماجة:٢٥٢٨bحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ بِقِيمَةِ عَدْلٍ فَأَعْطَى شُرَكَاءَهُ حِصَصَهُمْ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ وَعَتَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلاَّ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ  

malik:38-1Mālik > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Malik related to me from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺsaid, "If a man frees his share of a slave and has enough money to cover the full price of the slave justly evaluated for him, he must buy out his partners so that the slave is completely freed. If he doesn't have the money, he partially frees him.  

مالك:٣٨-١حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قالَ: «مَن أعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ. فَكانَ لَهُ مالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ العَبْدِ، قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ العَدْلِ. فَأعْطى شُرَكاءَهُ حِصَصَهُمْ. وعَتَقَ عَلَيْهِ العَبْدُ. وإلّا فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنهُ ما عَتَقَ»

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a slave that belongs to him, if he has enough wealth to cover its value, he should estimate its value and set it free accordingly. Otherwise, he has freed whatever he has freed."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a partner in slave ownership and has enough wealth to cover the price of the slave, then he should assess the value of the slave fairly and give his partners their shares. Then, he should free the slave. If not, then he has only partially freed the slave." He said, "Yes."  

البيهقي:٢١٣٢٢أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ مَالِكٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ بِهَا ثنا أَبُو سَهْلٍ بِشْرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الذُّهْلِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قُلْتُ لِمَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَكَ نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ وَأَعْطَى شُرَكَاءَهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَعَتَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a partner he has in a slave and establishes justice by giving his partners their shares, the slave is freed on his behalf."

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ أُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ الْعَدْلِ فَأَعْطَى شُرَكَاءَهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَعَتَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدُ

"مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ في عَبْدٍ وَكان له مَالٌ يَبْلغُ ثَمَنَ العَبْدِ قُوِّمَ العَبْدُ عَلَيه قِيمَة عَدْلٍ، فأَعْطَى شُرَكَاءَه حِصَصَهم، وَعَتَقَ عَليه العبدُ، وإِلَّا فَقَد عتَقَ مِنْهُ ما عَتَقَ".
